My 13 year old gamer loves it!
Purchased for my sonâs 13th birthday. The Acer Nitro V gaming laptop has exceeded his expectations! The graphics are impressive, and games run smoothly even on higher settings. The cooling system works well and keeps the laptop from overheating, even during longer sessions. The display is bright and clear, and the 144Hz refresh rate makes gameplay super smooth. The build is sturdy and has a sleek, gamer-friendly design. Battery life isnât the longest, but thatâs expected for a gaming laptop. For this price point, itâs an excellent choice for gamers who want solid performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

Review
The pictures show it after it was plugged in and started. I have a video of the unboxing and there was no damage to the laptop. I havenât used it much (especially not an intensive amount). So far its quick to load. Which my previous laptop took forever to load so it is a nice change. The keys are nice and the mousepad is great. Connected to the wifi dang quick and finished setting up quickly too. I was looking for something to be used both as a work laptop as well as a for fun laptop. While I canât say anything about the gaming aspect but given how user friendly it is. I can most certainly say its a good laptop for working. The fan is rather quiet. I canât say whether or not its a good value for the money as I havenât had it for a long time nor do I have anything to really compare it to (asides my horrible first laptop). That being said as of day one everything is golden. Iâll update with any new information or happenings and for now I wonât recommend it as Iâve not used it enough. But with time that could change.
Day 3: It downloaded everything quickly. Doesnât overheat even after a long bit of use (granted again not intensive). All in all itâs continued to be good so far.

Nice Computer
Computer itself is really good and fast.
The only thing that slows it down is MS Windows as you know.
I have used windows from the start. I used Windows XP right up to 2020, when Internet Security protocols stopped their support, XP was the best, and Windows 7 was the last best.
After Windows 7 MS windows went down hill.
If Apple would have more user friendly programs, or Apps as they are called nowadays, a lot more people would be switching over.
As well as the open software platforms such as Linux, etc.
But MS pretty much had a monopoly on the OS being sold on new computer sales and that is how they got so big so fast, and why people did not have too much of a choice, and therefore got used to using the MS windows OS.
As you probably know, all the trouble came from the windows updates, anything and everything that
could go wrong came from the updates. That is why I was able to use my Windows XP until 2020, I never
did updates.
You are probably thinking then why am I buying this computer as MS now forces updates to go through
on all newer computers with their OS on it, as they want to keep control of everything that you do now and want to know everything that you are searching for.
Well I got so used to using windows. I like the interface interaction, and now I have to do a lot of manipulating to get the files and such working as older versions. But, once you do, it gets better.
Of course I disable updates and Edge.
So after a little tweaking this computer works well, although not like MS intended it to work.
And one feature of all windows, which I think is the best, (MS will probably do something to it after I post this review) is the backwards compatibility feature. With this feature you can load an older version of
Software or an old Game and it will work on the newer computer. As an example I am using Software Programs that are close to twenty years old and Games that are sixteen years old.

Its good for the price
The weight is light but it can be a bit cumbersome, the speed is mid range, the screen is alright but itâs not very bright during the day or in a bright room but itâs overall good, the build quality feels good, it is easy to setup ð

Bought for girlfriend
Purchased as a gift for girlfriend. Her use case is light occasional gaming on the side, but mainly for academic use, which this performs very well. Games include Minecraft, and lighter competitive shooter games. This laptop definitely allows you to play the games you want to – you might have to tone down some settings in order to achieve a consistent frame rate. Weight wise, this is a very light laptop compared to most other gaming laptops. It does not add much heft in a backpack, so it’s something to keep in mind when shopping for a laptop for college! Overall, I would recommend this as an entry-level gaming laptop and a solid college laptop when used for studying.

For the specs and features, for a thousand dollars it is worth it.
No other laptops will offer you a thunderbolt port at this price along with a rtx 4050 with a good cpu. Though the ram and ssd needs to be upgraded afterwards
No annoying warranty sticker blocking any screw holes so that is a plus.
