25 Frames Per Second: Cinema Level. (Frame rate is the number of frames captured by devices per second, the higher the frame rate, the smoother the video.) Usually the naked eye defines a “video” as a bunch of pictures played sequentially at a frame rate higher than 8Hz, and the thermal camera on Glory G1S records 25 frames per second. The thermal imaging on G1S has more than 40k+ sensors, meaning more than 40k temperature data received per measure. AGM G1S fabricates not only a clear picture but also more accurate measurements.
Handy phone with thermal imager
The take-home message is that the smoothness is unmatched by any other thermal devices in good cost, not to mention that most thermal imagers don’t support video recording. Measures from Camping to Working.
The thermal imager plays significantly role in industrial inspection, outdoor and in-door problem diagnosis such as spotting water leakage, finding blocked pipes, tracking animals, inspecting car engine, and etc.

As good as any
I’ve been using this for several months now. The only problems I have had is that the phone will not run many google apps, such as maps. Rather odd for an android device, but I have found other software I like better. I have problems with my hands, and drop my phone several times a day. So far, nothing but some scrapes on the housing.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid
The only useful bit of this phone are the cameras. If you need this to be a smartphone, then avoid. Itâs an old non-updated operating system. The phone speaker it useless to hear anyone without using ear buds or going into developer mode to find ways to force the max volume. It only works on T-mobileâs network, and even that seems to limp along and is connected to the network less often than any Devices in the family. Forget group texting, everyone will have to be on a third-party app if you want to keep in contact. In the end, itâs a $600 thermal camera with spotty internet access and some apps. Android auto wonât even connect.Completely regret this purchase.

5G Connectivity not working at this time
So, this is a good phone. The build quality and software seem to be noticeably better than my old Blackview BV8900 Pro – another rugged thermal capable phone. However it has some issues that may be a dealbreaker for you.The thermal imager easily walks all over any of the FLIR lepton sensors in other rugged phones. The resolution is good enough that you don’t need the visible image overlay to recognize what you’re looking at, and the refresh rate is way faster. From my short testing, this thermal imager does what they claim it does, and it’s probably the best imager ever deployed in a phone at this time. The other features are handy, the audio is good and loud, and the touchscreen seems better/more accurate than my old phone. I’ve taken it in the shower and washed it under the sink as well without any issue whatsoever. If that’s all you care about, you can stop reading here. The issue that I have with this is that 5G capability is not working at this time. I’ve tried it with Verizon (wasn’t expecting it to work, though 4G and texting work fine. WiFi calling does not). I’ve also tried it with Mint (an MVNO operating on the T-Mobile network). On Mint, I was also only able to get 4G LTE and text, but couldn’t get WiFi calling working, nor 5G.So I went and did a month prepaid plan from T-Mobile. Same story – Verizon has significantly better signal out on the fringes where I live, though I was able to get WiFi calling working briefly, it seems to have stopped working. And no matter what I do, I cannot get 5G running. Various cellular analyzer apps says that it is trying to connect to 5G non standalone (NSA) but that 5G is not connected and was still in 4G LTE mode. Without being able to get in there and see the modem logs, I can’t say for sure what the issue is, though AGM acknowledges there is a problem here and that they are trying to solve it. Hopefully an update will fix this up and this phone will be truly outstanding, but we’re not there yet.

A Tough Device with Fine Features and One Questionable Issue
There are some very good features of this phone, and others that are questionable. The major flag I have with this phone is the inability to install Whatâs App on it. I donât use or particularly like so-called social media nonsense, but I did try to install this one and others unsuccessfully as part of testing it for this review. This makes me wonder if/suspect that the phone is locked up by directive of the CCP in the PRCâs pursuit of its Great Wall censorship policy. If so, that would be a deal-breaker for me regardless of my opinion about the (lack of) merit of such applications. My technical assessment of this phone is the following: the screen and audio are excellent making for great video play. The battery is good, but the phone comes with lots of bloat-wear that should be disabled or deleted to prevent an unnecessarily rapid power drain. This is a 4G phone that can handle many games, but it may not be the best platform for the most demanding gaming. The camera is OK, not as good as that on my premium phones that go for some hundred dollars more, so move up in price by a lot if thatâs somethingâs thatâs particularly important to you. There is an infrared sensor on this phone that identifies body-heat in the very dark conditions. I tested it by tracking some New York City rats running around dense shrubbery in a park late at night; it works but I donât know what purpose this serves unless the user is a hunter, which I am not. This is a tough phone capable of standing up to severe shocks. That toughness makes it rather bulky compared to many others, but the manufacturers has still managed to design an attractive device. Itâs also waterproof, something I tested by watching a YouTube vid while in the shower. The call feature of this phone is average. Given the rapid escalation in phone prices as features become ever more sophisticated the seven hundred bucks asked as of this writing is probably what you would expect for the overall quality, though Iâd check on the lock-up feature just on general principle before laying out the money.
