great upgrade from single core cpu
Upgrading a Dell Inspiron 531S I had trouble getting the motherboard to accept the processor after bios update and resetting CMOS. In this case I needed to install and test with a single memory module in slot 1, then after the processor is detected and bios configured, the rest of the memory was installed and everything works perfectly. Good product, went from single core sempron 2.2 Ghz to dual core 3 Ghz awesome!

Nice dual core for an old MB.
Works great. Got a nice $20 cooler and the CPU run like a champ. Use it to watch YouTube 720p and light multi-task. Google Apps work fine. Can game with a Nvidia GT640.

My mom’s 2.7 ghz single core cpu was stuck at 100% load all the time on Windows 10, so I got this one. Though it does still take a bit of time starting up and it seems like it forgets what it was trying to do sometimes, it did make her computer usable. It will make her tower a good storage device for a year or two, but the technology is definitely too outdated for today’s applications.
