This is not a retail Box but everything works
I was surprised when the CPU and Fan came in a brown box. But the CPU and the Fan worked perfectly so it’s OK. It’s supposed to be unlocked which I can overclock the CPU but I haven’t done any of the tuning yet because my son thinks it’s fast as it is. It’s quite a plug and play. The price is good for this CPU especially with the Fan so we don’t have to go out and buy a separate fan. The fan is quite efficient and quiet.

Good cpu
It works. I turned on the pc and it works and the temps is also good. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is bcause I havent installed windows 11 media installation yet so I haven’t gamed on it yet. But i’ll review after i have tested it on games..Edit 1: it works great, getting a lot of fps in games and has earned Five stars.

great value, great performance for a budget build
decided to upgrade from my first gen ryzen which had 8 cores. 6 cores, i decided, would be better overall, especially for gaming. at the same time, i also replaced my 980 with a rx580(8gb) – which wasn’t much of an upgrade but my 980 was thoroughly used and was crashing. i may end up holding onto this one until after another GPU upgrade(3060 perhaps), then eventually get a 6ghz intel

Nice processor
I picked this one over 5600x due to price, and heat.I’m so happy with my decision it works like a charm along my RX6600 and temperatures are really good.Nice speed and great performance for my games.Package is really nice and it includes the stock cooler which is fine, but as I like lower temps I use a custom air cooler.

The Best CPU for a Budget Gaming PC
This is the only processor you’ll ever need if you’re just looking for something to power a simple budget gaming PC build. Even when paired with a budget GPU like the RX 6600, you can expect to play almost any game at Ultra settings at 1080p with plenty of FPS to spare. The CPU works just as well for 1440p gaming as well, if you have a more powerful GPU like the 6800 XT.This CPU also comes with an included stock cooler, which does perform remarkably better than the stock coolers from older CPU generations. However, I would still recommend getting a different cooler, just to get that slight extra bit of performance in terms of temperature control. For my test, I used this with a low profile ID-COOLING IS-55 cooler and I had an average CPU temp in the mid-60 degrees in most games.In terms of FPS performance, this CPU is more than enough to deliver over or near 100 FPS at 1080p in almost any game with the 6600 and can even exceed 200 FPS when paired with a 6800 XT. The CPU has the perfect amount of performance where there isn’t any concern of it being a bottleneck unless you pair it with something like the RTX 4090, for example. In my main tests, I averaged around 76FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 with FSR 2.0 enabled on High Settings at 1080p, and I averaged around 92FPS in Hogwarts Legacy with FSR 2.0 enabled at High and also at 1080p- both games were tested with the 6600 and with 16GB of 3200Mhz RAM.Overall, there isn’t a CPU that has a much better value proposition than this one. If you want a solid CPU that will work just fine with almost any GPU while still providing an excellent gaming experience, then this is the CPU for you. It comes with a cooler in the box and has preapplied thermal paste, which makes building a budget/first time PC all that much easier. I highly recommend it.

Estou fazendo um upgrade do Ryzen 5 1600 AF e só precisei trocar o processador, que custou 12x de R$ 62,15. Mantive a mesma placa-mãe (B450 Aorus M) e memória RAM. A diferença foi enorme! Com minha RX 6650 XT, estava alcançando cerca de 120 FPS em Overwatch, e esse número praticamente dobrou com o novo processador e o ReBar (Smart Access Memory) ativado.Em jogos menos competitivos, embora não tenha observado um grande salto nos FPS, percebi frametimes mais estáveis, o que resultou em bem menos stuttering. Isso proporcionou uma experiência de uso do PC muito mais rápida e fluida.O processador frequentemente atinge o máximo de boost em 4.4 GHz, ficando em 3.5 GHz apenas em idle. Notei que o cooler stock esquenta um pouco, chegando frequentemente perto dos 70º C. Estou pensando em comprar o Water Cooler Rise Mode Black 240mm, mas por enquanto vou levar com o cooler stock da AMD, que atende bem e é muito mais silencioso do que o cooler da Intel que meu irmão usa.Vou dar meu processador antigo para ele, que só precisará comprar uma placa-mãe nova para fazer o upgrade no PC dele.

This CPU is still a great purchase for midrange gamers. If you have a modest budget this CPU will do you well and there is an upgrade path to the X3d parts in the future.The CPU runs cool and is efficient. It has enough cores for gaming and productivity. It is very similar to the X part and could be overclocked to reach those speeds, but i think you are better off running it cooler at lower energy levels
