Budget with a Kick
This product is great for anyone looking to go gaming or setting up for coding.I built this entire system and would recommend if you want to do a budget build with an AM5 socket. I have played quite a few games with a 4060 TI graphics card. With getting 60 – 75 fps which is the max my monitor can do so it may be able to go higher. With these games I have no lagging or crashing and my computer runs smooth and I have not done any overclocking at all.For the price you wonât regret the purchase.Games areRed dead redemption 2New colossusSkyrim with heavy modsDead spaceWitcher 3

Good little chip. Works well if you are ysing as an APU.
The limited pci lanes limits the usefulness of this chip, with that aside, using it as an apu for a mini pc works flawlessly. You can use it with a gpu like the 4060, you won’t notice the difference (less than 5%).Playing mine craft, running 3D print applications, and even some basic AI worked flawlessly.

Affordable and worthy entry into the AM5 platform
Was bought to test out if it is good enough to replace a Ryzen 7 5700G setup.Pro 1: Worth cost of entry to AM5. It essentially matches the Ryzen 7 5700G in performance with less and weaker cores (more on that in the cons).Pro 2: Extremely easy to cool.Pro 3: Decent beginner gaming. It can play AAA games at 1080p w/ low settings ~30 FPS. It can play Indie games at 1080p with mid to high settings depending on the game.Con 1: Not a true Zen 4 CPU because 4 out of 6 cores is smaller and the MHz is cut down. AMD calls them Zen 4c cores.Con 2: Annoying IHS that traps TIM.Pro Tip: The Zen 4c cores are actual desktop CPU cores and not laptop cores like Intelâs E-Cores.*** UPDATE ***No longer recommend as entry to AM5 because the 8600G has dropped significantly in cost.

Best Budget
The AMD Ryzen 5 8500G is a solid choice for budget-minded gamers or those looking for a capable processor for everyday tasks. It features 6 cores, 12 threads, and integrated Radeon 740M graphics, allowing you to play some less demanding games without a dedicated graphics card. It also boasts a strong performance-to-price ratio.Hereâs a quick summary of the pros and cons to help you decide if the Ryzen 5 8500G is the right processor for you:Pros: * Excellent value for price * Integrated graphics handle some light gaming * Supports DDR5 memoryCons: * Fewer PCIe lanes compared to higher-end models * Might not be ideal for futureproofing due to fewer PCIe lanesOverall, the Ryzen 5 8500G is a great option for gamers on a budget or those who need a capable processor for everyday tasks. If you’re looking for a future-proof option or plan on using a powerful graphics card, you might want to consider a higher-end model.

Good product
It’s a good product, but if you can afford buying the 8600g go for it, especially if you’re more interested in using it as an APU. However this is a great processor, I’ve tested some games, some other type of processes and the performance is very good. I’m so happy with this one, I’m not thinking to play games in 4k or Ray tracing, but with a good graphic card it’d would be perfectly possible

Very Slow compared to the 8500F. I made a serious error when I bought these
I bought 3 of these and it was a serious mistake. The on board video make them run much slower when compared to the same CPU without on board video. They use about half of the CPU processing power to run the on board video. Now I need to sell them on ebay and buy the same CPU without on board video. (I have tested them side by side)

Fantastic chip for the price. If you plan to get a gpu later then get the 8600g, it has more PCI lanes.
