Better than expected, worked great on older MSI board

    Excellent CPU
I am not sure what the brother from Canada got, but this processor is an excellent AM4 ZEN3 technology processor with 16 cores and 32 threads and it works a lot better and faster than my previous Ryzen 5800X processor. It is not hotter the my previous one and is really good at multi-tasking. Very happy with this purchase.

Manufacturer Seal was Broken upon Arrival and a Pin was Bent
This was sold as a new item but the manufacturer seal on the box was already broken when I opened the shipping box.On inspection, one of the pins in a corner was slightly bent.I have decades of experience building computers and this is unacceptable for an item sold as new.Item did arrive very quickly.

    Slower than the 5800x3d.
Glad I got the 5800x3d before they sold out. They don’t even compare in gaming performance in my opinion. The 5800x3d is better in every single way “with combo strike 3 enabled” and XMP ram. If you game buy a 5700x3d/5800x3d. Buy the 5900xt if you don’t

It does what it is supposed to do.
If you know what you are doing and do your research to check cpu compatibilty on your Motherboard Manufacturer’s Website, this CPU does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you don’t know what you are doing, you will probably have some type of Issue to complain about.

A Little More Life for AM4!
Works better then expected! Asus Prime X570 chipset AM4 Socket. Increased FPS is gaming, faster renders in Davinci Resolve, great for multi threaded work loads!!

    Refreshed 5950x for 2024
This is a very powerful CPU that remains efficient in energy consumption. I also have the 5950x and the 3950x. I perceive zero difference among them. At $300, it is a no brainer for content creators when paired with RTX GPU without having to upgrade to 1000 watt plus PSU and turning one’s PC into a heater for this winter. Sweet price, sweet power consumption spot, top performance. Zero crash since day one. It can easily handle any game titles such as Elden Ring and Cyberpunk and even AI apps on Pinokio like Face Fusion 3.

At the moment, this is even more expensive than a 5950X, so there’s literally no point in buying this over a 5950X.You’d be better off with a Ryzen 7 5000X3D or the Ryzen 9 5950X if you want to stay on AM4.Also, the name of this would lead you to believe it’s a slightly better-clocked 5900X and you’d be WRONG. This is not a 12-core/24-thread CPU.What this is is a slightly scaled down 5950X, so basically a 5950.
