Absolutely amazing CPU
This thing is blazing fast and installed into my ASRock steel legend MB with no issues at all.Not OC yet and using a Corsair water pump for cooling.Happy with the purchase. Delivery took longer than expected which after the first supplier canceled the order. I was a little miffed and anxious to get this CPU. Last supplier provided a discount and evidently didn’t wish to honor said discount.

Absolute monster.
This CPU is insanely fast, and it absolutely crushed all the games I threw at it. It works great, but it does get very hot, so only cool it with Liquid cooling such as an AIO. It seems incredibly stable overall.

Ryzen 9 7900X3D: The Perfect Balance of Power for Gamers and Creators
Alright, I know the Ryzen 9 7900X3D gets some hate online, but hear me outâthis CPU is a beast. Itâs got 12 cores, 24 threads, and a massive 144MB of cache. The extra L3 cache with 3D V-Cache is a game-changer for gaming and multi-core tasks. It offers better versatility than the 7800X3D. You get great gaming performance, but it also crushes it in productivity tasks, thanks to those extra cores.Yes, it runs a bit hot, and youâll need a good cooler, but the performance gains are worth it. The 7800X3D is great purely for gaming, but if you want a bit more flexibility and a CPU that can handle everything, the 7900X3D is a better bet. Plus, you get more future-proofing with that extra power!Pros: ⢠Incredible gaming performance with 3D V-Cache. ⢠More cores and threads than the 7800X3D for better multitasking. ⢠Efficient power usage for a high-end CPU.Cons: ⢠Can run hot; needs a good cooling setup. ⢠Pricey compared to pure gaming-focused CPUs.If you want a CPU that does it all and arenât afraid to invest in some cooling, the 7900X3D is worth every penny!

This processor is a powerhouse that excels in both gaming and productivity tasks.Performance:With 12 cores and 24 threads, this CPU delivers outstanding performance across the board. Whether Iâm gaming at high settings or running intensive applications like video editing software, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D handles everything with ease. Multitasking is seamless, and Iâve noticed a significant boost in performance compared to my previous processor.3D V-Cache Technology:One of the standout features of the 7900X3D is its 3D V-Cache technology. This provides a substantial increase in cache size, which is particularly beneficial for gaming. Iâve experienced improved frame rates and smoother gameplay, especially in CPU-intensive titles. Itâs impressive how this technology enhances overall responsiveness.Thermals & Power Efficiency:The power efficiency of this processor is commendable. Even under heavy load, it stays relatively cool, thanks to the excellent thermal management. Coupled with a good cooling solution, it offers great performance without excessive heat generation, making it ideal for long gaming sessions.Compatibility:Installing the Ryzen 9 7900X3D was straightforward, and itâs compatible with a wide range of motherboards, particularly those using the AM5 socket. The platform supports the latest technologies like DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0, ensuring future-proofing for upcoming hardware.Value for Money:While this processor is on the higher end of the price spectrum, the performance and features it offers make it worth the investment. For enthusiasts and professionals who require top-tier performance, it provides excellent value. In summary, the AMD Ryzen⢠9 7900X3D is an outstanding choice for anyone looking to build a high-performance desktop. With its powerful cores, innovative technology, and efficiency, itâs perfect for both gamers and content creators alike. Works great for gaming
Now this is great for gaming and I got it on sale and that’s why I went with this versus the 7800x3d. I finally was able to put together my rig and I am very happy with the results so far. It has been great for gaming and I am a casual gamer. I didn’t pair it with the best GPU due to budget reasons but do plan on later on upgrading the GPU.Update: So my GPU is my bottleneck but with my 1080p screen thr RX 7600 XT was my budget GPU to pair with this. I know later down the line I will get a better GPU but it is what it is. I play everything no issues. I have a cheap AIO 240 paired with grizzly paste keeps this CPU idle 35-40c casual games 50-55c more heavy games 65-75c more towards 65c though. I do love the fact of having cores for gaming and cores for everything else. The 7950x3d would be a better choice for me but costs. I splurged on the CPU with it being on sale at the time on prime day.

Buy the 7800X3D if you’re just gaming
The 7800X3D offers better performance IN GAMING because it utilizes a 6 core 3D VCache (opposed to 8 on the 7800X3D).If you’re just gaming, then the base price is a kind of a scam, compared to the 7800X3D.Don’t get me wrong, it’s a BEAST of a CPU, and it’s only like a 10 FPS difference compared to the 7800X3D. but for $150 more?

Power
This performs VERY WELL, I have an aio pump on it so it doesn’t get very hot so the heat levels stay at around 45°c and 75°c gaming. Well worth the cash I put into it. The stability is icredivlr and doesn’t consume a lot of power the memory is awesome too. Get this!

For $320, I couldnât pass this up.
For $320, I couldnât pass this up.Undervolt in the bios – runs cool and fast.Windows scheduling issues a thing of the past.Ram runs 6000MT no problemI do notice a nice bump using Xbox Game Bar and setting “remember this game” for the games I use, and they favor the V-cache cores and do it well, and leave the non-V cores to background tasks.-30mv in bois max temp 85c setting – works great. All cores over 5.2 and a few 5.5-5.6 – not a bad CPU at all. Moved up from 5950X (more cores but slower) and move the 5950X to a server box that will use all the cores/threads. The 12/24 on this works more than fine on my main workstation.

Es muy buena opción para los que pretenden tener su Pc pero no sólo para jugar, sino tmb para trabajar (renders, arquitectura, etc) aunque sà es algo caliente, por lo que hay que hacer varios ajustes en la configuración.

I went with the 7900X3D over the 7800X3D for several reasons:- 4 extra cores and threads that run faster- I game at 4k while running streams and videos- I picked one up for under 380 CAD, while the 7800X3D, 7900X, and 7900 were all 100+ more- There’s no way the 9900X (and eventually X3D) will match the value for quite a whileThe only slight downside is it runs about 10C warmer than my 5700X did, but then it is a 120W chip vs the 65W one. However, you can undervolt and change the temp limits. I undervolt and limit it to 75C with little hit to the performance. It really is a great all around CPU that will last for years, and if you find it on sale, it’s a no-brainer
