    Great Sound, well built
I bought these after my Sennheiser HD202 gave up. I immediately replaced the cushions with more comfortable ones and now these things are my pride and joy. Great buy, no complaints aside from stock uncomfortable ear cushions. Can be tricky replacing cushions not recommended unless handy at that kind of stuff. Sound is fantastic, full, great bass and sound is never muddy with good range.

    Good economy headphones
These are comfortable to wear and have a nice carry bag and cord. The rotating ear cups is something many other economy choices are missing and these have that. The low end seems to be fairly non-existent like many other reviewers wrote but they still work well for previewing songs.

Loud at 500hz and very Muffled Treble
I have owned American Audio in the past, and I am not sure if I got a defective set of what, but they are so muffled at higher frequencies. The low end is fine, but I have to use an EQ and Really raise the treble to the moon and drop the 250-500Hz to the floor. I tried the other 2 pairs I have and do not have the issues to such a degree. I will not be buying again from them and will stick to my Audio Technica Headphones for a little bit money and 3X the quality drivers used.

    Almost passable
I bought these American Audio headphones after tossing a pair of cheap 100mW Nady ‘Studio’ phones in the trash. 100mW to me says ‘designed by an idiot’ but unfortunately there was no power rating on the item when I bought it. These American Audio were rated at 3,500mW max input power which is LOUD for headphones. To test them out. I cranked my bass guitar through these at ear deafening levels, so it’s not likely you would blow them out easily from volume. The low B has a bit of breakup at higher volumes, but I’m not complaining. A good pair of phones should be flat. These are NOT, but I knew this from reading the other reviews. It is difficult to find something this cheap that has both power and flat frequency, but nothing an EQ can’t fix. They are a bargain for $15.90 which is what I paid for them a week ago, but if they were ~$40 bucks like they are at the time of this review I may have looked for something else.Edit: Knocked off a star because these phones also short out when you move the slightest bit – cripes, how difficult is it to make a reasonably priced pair of headphones that doesn’t short out at the slightest movement? This is from light use at home – not like I am swinging from the ceiling by the cord. Manufacturer, invest an extra 5-10 cents in a thicker wire in the cord to make a quality product that doesn’t short out and keep a satisfied customer.

    Great headphones for the price
Pros-More than decent sound quality-Inexpensive-Coiled, medium length cable-Tons of accessoriesCons-Slightly uncomfortable during long sessions-Plastic construction (durable to some degree)-Little to no seal around the ears.OverviewNo complaints here. For $15, you can’t go wrong with these headphones. American Audio was generous enough to include various accessories including a carrying pouch, and 2 quarter inch adapters. These headphones sound very decent; but are a bit hard to drive (64 ohms). The sound signature is V shaped, with very accentuated bass and high treble, as with most “dj” labeled headphones. I feel that the mids are a bit muddy. The build quality is quite good for the price, with plastic material that feel durable enough for everyday use. However, it is a bit stiff feeling at the joints. The ear-cups get sweaty and uncomfortable over time, as expected with the material used. The earcups don’t give much seal on the ears (at least for me). This is an important factor that causes it to lose some isolation.Overall, these headphones are great temporary pair that gets the job done.

    Very Nice and cheap!
These headphones are great…. extremely loud and clear…someone said that they get kind of muddy with the mid which is true but a little eq and they’re perfect… I use these to record and listen to music

    Not good for live Djing
These headphones noise bleed allot. In order to really hear your cue music, you have to really push in the ear cup to your head, which gets very tiring and more annoying if you wear glasses. Stay away from these.
