amazing, solid travel laptop for photographers and business
For years while working in government I used Apple Macbooks but didn’t want to spend the money on them for my own private use. Starting a good 10 years ago I converted over, and my life really is much simpler: Iphone synchs to my macbook and I love the sturdiness of the iwatch, that survives no matter what I’m doing, be it swimming, hiking, the gym, etc. So, I’m into travel photography and go all over the world so needed a small relatively lightweight computer to take with me, and decided on the macook pro 13 inch (upgraded 3 years ago to the m1 chip 13 inch, and now the 2023 m3 chip 1 tbssd laptop.My 2021 macbook is working fine, and the cycle count is under 500, but regardless, after three years I wanted to get a newer version. Amazon has an Asurion 4 year drops/spills warranty for only $189 so I’ll be getting that as well.There is not much to say about macbooks except they are so user friendly, intuitive, built like tanks (I dropped mine at a local airport 3 years ago and it never stopped working). The speed of the m1 chip was very fast and now the m3 chip is 30% or so faster. My plan for video work is to get the M3 pro 16inch with a terabyte of ssd as my editing station at home and travel with the 14 inch version. Thanks to Amazon for a great delivery and carefully making sure that this laptop was in good working order. I can’t speak highly enough for how generous Amazon is to its customers.

I got this right before the semester started for me because my 4 year old Acer laptop started acting funny. I knew that I could not start a school semester start without a proper laptop and I do all of my school work online so I am constantly on my laptop. I was going to get the Air but then I saw that at the time, the 14 inch Pro was the same price as the 15 inch Air and I thought âmight as well get the Pro.â So, I did.The battery life is out of this world, truly. I can go at least 2 or 3 days without charging it. Everything is uber fast and it seamlessly connects to my iPad Pro so Iâll have another monitor while Iâm doing my studies. It is pretty light, definitely lighter than my own laptop. The sound quality is exquisite, I use my laptop to watch movies when I am unwinding and it is crystal clear both sound and screen quality wise.If you are able to, totally get the Pro. You wont regret it!
