So far .. very happy ..
.. but do your research. Reading reviews, this was a scary process. I just bought a refurbed iPhone X 3 months ago that was near perfect so I knew it could be done. Amazon is a flea market w thousands of venders. In looking for a refurbed Mac, there were dozens of vendors ‘approved’ by Amazon. Click on the storefront of each vendor ‘sold by’ and check their customer approval rating. Some were little better than 60%. I found ‘Certified Macs’ to be one of the highest rated so shopped their storefront for what I wanted. I paid top $$ for ‘excellent condition’ but still just over $300 for a mid-2014 spec’ed for my needs. It came in a plain white box, as in the photo, w a lot of bubble wrap. FedEx delivered and asked my ID. There was what appears to be a new Apple-type knockoff charger and cable. The charger did ‘spark’, as others have mentioned, when I first plugged it in but has not in the 2 weeks since and does not feel hot when in use. The computer is flawless .. clean, zero scratches or blemishes, screen looks perfect. So far it is operating as expected, faster than my 2011 model that was on the verge of crashing. Battery is adequate at just under 6000 w 298 cycles. Hopefully I can get 3-4 years solid use minimum as I only use it for surfing, bills, photo storage .. the usual.

I realize this may not be everyone’s experience, but my laptop arrived a day early. It came with a 3rd party power supply (that looked brand new), started up immediately, upgraded the OS to Big Sur.The laptop itself shows virtually zero signs of wear and tear that you would expect on a laptop manufactured in 2015-2016. The screen is flawless, battery seems okay (I haven’t tested it in a real-world situation yet, I may update this later).This particular laptop has a bunch of ports you won’t find any Macbook Pros after 2016. It has two USB-A, two Thunderbolt-2 (a bit outdated but you can get adapters if you need something), headphone jack and HDMI port, AND a SD card slot.I’m very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend. Reading through some past reviews I saw some people had issues with batteries and chargers, etc – I had no problems and hope you have the same experience. Great to find a good deal on older hardware that doesn’t LOOK like older hardware.

Works very well
I absolutely loved this product. Came right away and works efficiently. Had to run some updates and set up the logistics, so after that it worked very well. I personally bought this computer so I could produce music, using an app titled ‘GarageBand’. Unfortunately, I am not able to download ‘Garageband’ and other music making software because I purchased a 2015 model. After having some difficulties downloading GarageBand, Employees from Apple Store informed me, I need at least a 2019 model or newer, to download those apps. Absolutely loved this product. Works very well and came in good condition. I wasn’t aware that I needed a more recent model and would have purchased a newer model had I known. Regardless, this computer works great for the price I paid .

It’s a cheap used MBP, there’s gonna be issues.
Listing states like new condition and that’s slightly lacking. Some acceptable damage was on the unit I received but one dent on the body marred the screen and required blending (filed it down) and the screen appears to be a inexpensive replacement due to flaws in its surface. Another issue was that the battery was not at 80% charge as listed and needs to be replaced according to what the battery monitor says. Will update review when I figure out where the battery is in its lifecycle as the computer is going through software updates.
