I do a side gig where I provide chat support for hours on end. As much as I love my old MacBook Air â which was used when I bought it from Amazon Renewed four years ago â a few limitations have made it challenging to use for extended periods (e.g. slowness booting, logging in, loading applications, switching between applications/windows; audio-only FaceTime; a perpetually-running fan). Specific to the fast-paced support gig, I kept wishing for a nicer keyboard and larger screen/more screen ‘real estate’ â in addition to a faster/more responsive system all around.That said, after days of research (i.e., reading computer magazine reviews, computer forum posts, buyer reviews), I finally decided to pull the trigger on a used MacBook Pro MJLT2LL/A, turning once again to Amazon Renewed. Just five days later â with free shipping â my ‘new’ laptop arrived from Reuse Deals/PowerON Services and… Wow, where to start??The laptop itself is near pristine (ref. the last pic for one minor ding), the battery cycle count’s a modest 50, the system booted right up to a fresh Catalina install, the migration from my Macbook Air was [relatively]fast and easy, and boy oh boy does this baby fly (at least in comparison to the old MacBook Air): boots in seconds, near-instant application loads, applications/windows pop, and I’ve yet to hear the fan come on once. Oh, and don’t get me started on the keyboard travel (a dream to type on, even with a protective skin), the sublime Force-Touch trackpad, the powerful speakers or the vivid 15″ Retina display. Arrived with shot speaker
The packaging and physical appearance of the computer looked good. No visible damage. I started editing video with headphones and everything seemed to work. However, when I did a playback with headphones removed, I was surprised to find that the left speaker was blown. It only generates a loud distorted fuzz. Completely unusable when listening back to video/audio edits unless you either hook into monitors or headphones.If you buy, definitely recommend doing a thorough check of ALL components before settling into a workflow. I wish we would have checked first, but had some tight deadlines from when our previous laptop unexpectedly fried. mac is supposed to be better. I think they still are, but I would purchase an Apple-certified refurbished rather than amazon refurbished based on this experience. We reached out to the company to set up an exchange, but they are unable to switch out with a working version. Now we need to go through the hassle of finding another similar computer elsewhere while we navigate the refund process here. Buyer beware… it’s a great deal if you end up with a working computer. If you have the time and are willing to take the risk, do it. If you have deadlines to meet, go over to the Apple store and buy a certified refurb from them.

Worst Amazon purchase I’ve ever made
I ordered this based on decent reviews.I think it’s important to note that the description doesn’t mention a year anywhere. For the price I was disappointed to find that it was a 2015 when it arrived. The going price for a 2015 is substantially less.I was willing to look past that price however, because this was supposed to be a refurbished MBP. If it had actually been a solid working laptop, I would have happily spent the few extra hundred dollars. It’s not.Instantly upon powering it up I was hit with a “service recommended” notice. The battery is bad. I get maybe an hour of use after a full charge if I’m lucky. But what makes it almost unusable is the fact that it dies without warning. In fact, it just died at 42% charge, which is what prompted me to write this review.I could have returned it, but I need it for work and didn’t want to be stuck without a computer for that long. So I contacted Amazon, and to their credit they did offer to refund the price of a replacement battery. That’s only so helpful though, because I didn’t realize that you can’t easily replace a battery in a 2015 like you could in an earlier MBP. I would have to pay a tech to install it for me. So I’m still stuck with a randomly dying computer.There’s also a strange bulge in the bottom of the case, which means the computer doesn’t sit flat on a desk or table. It rocks.If they weren’t charging an above premium price for these they might be a good deal. But they’re easily several hundred dollars above what they should be.Save your money and look elsewhere.

Great overall
Computer showed up in great shape. One scratch on the front that was very visible but not a big deal to me since I put it in a case. Screen is free of defects, and everything works as it should, and computer is fast and the battery stays charged all day no problem. My only complaint is that the charger broke within about 1 month of receiving the computer, just before writing this review. overall, would recommend

Hay opiniones diversas, y creo que todos opinan de acuerdo con la suerte que tuvieron con el producto que les llegó. En mi caso, decidà correr el riesgo, suponiendo que la probabilidad de obtener un buen producto era favorable, y sabiendo que podrÃa devolverlo si no llegaba en buenas condiciones. La computadora llegó muy bien empacada y protegida, con raspones casi imperceptibles. Completamente da la sensación de que estás utilizando una computadora nueva. Las caracterÃsticas cumplen con la descripción. Funciona excelentemente bien. Como mencionan, el único inconveniente es que el cable viene pintado; pero aún asà funciona muy bien.Creo que se puede comprar con confianza, ya que es un buen producto, hay altas probabilidades de obtener uno como nuevo; y tienes un buen periodo para confirmar su calidad y correcto funcionamiento.Si cambia mi experiencia, estaré editando este comentario.

El producto tiene un peque;o defecto de desgaste en una de las orillas, pero es comprensible por el tipo de producto. El único detalle importante es la duración de la baterÃa. Solo dura alrededor de 1.5 horas con un uso muy moderado. La pantalla está muy bien, el teclado sin evidencia de uso rudo.

La verdad es un volado jaja vi comentarios que hablan sobre la pila inflada y los golpes pero la mia llego casi como nueva, la bateria dura aproximadamente de 4 a 6 horas en uso constante.Trae todo lo que dice la descripcion, 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 con 16 de Ram 1600 MHz DDR3 y las dos tarjetas graficas MD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB y Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB.Teclado americano, bocinas en excelente estado pantalla sin manchas (tambien lei algo sobre eso en los comentarios).La tengo corriendo con Monterrey y todo super bien y la ocupo mucho (Soy desarrollador).El embalaje si estaba muy x una caja con la compu amarrada en papel burbuja pero pues no llego con golpes, eso es mas de la paqueteria. (En mi caso fue DHL)La recomiendo por lo que me llego a mi.

mi macbook tiene muy mala calidad en las bocinas, se podria adjudicar al hecho de que es usada pero los speakers estan completamente dañados, la bateria dura poco y el cargador parece ser generico. en el area de la camara viene con un detalle de daño. fuera de eso todo funciona bien hasta ahora aun que fue dificil lograr que se actualizara a MacOS Monterey.
