Great stand
I just got this device yesterday, so I haven’t been able to confirm its durability through the test of time, but it it is extremely sturdy, stable, well-designed, and well-constructed. As for its versatility, I had originally wanted to get a stand that would raise up several inches from the desk, but there were too many reviews of such stands stating that they had turned out not to be very durable. This stand seems to be as versatile as one can be, in respect to tilting to various angles, while being stable and durable.
I had considered the Omoton C2, but chose this one because it looked like its base might be more stable. However, the Omoton’s base seems to be modeled on the desktop Mac base, which is perfectly stable, so my guess is that the Omoton is as stable as the APPS2Car, and would be an excellent alternative.
The device arrives without directions, so it took me a minute to figure out to assemble and use it. It consists of two parts, the holder and the base, which are not attached on arrival.
To attach the holder to the base, you first loosen the knob near the bottom of the base so that you can raise up the arm. Then you unscrew the large nut on the female joint on the back of the holder all the way. Next, you insert the male connector, which is located at the top of the base and has a ball at the end, through the large nut you have loosened, fully into the female connector on the back of the holder. Then you tighten the large nut, thereby connecting the holder to the base.. Loosening the knob near the bottom of the base will allow you to tilt the holder from front to back.
On arrival, the holder’s arms are so close they look like the device will hold only phones less than two inches wide, but that’s because they are in the closed position. The arms pop open when you press the button at the top of the back of the holder. Then they close easily to hold the phone securely after you have seated it on the bottom support. (If the arms should become partly closed, you do not press the phone between them; instead you close the arms all the way and then pop them open again by pressing the button on the back.) The holder can be rotated 360 degrees to tilt the phone to a significant extent. The holder’s bottom support has gaps through which you can charge the phone and plug in ear buds while it is mounted in the device.

Excellent stand and a fantastic value!
This stand is a lifesaver! I now own three of them. It is perfect for video calls, zoom meetings, FaceTiming, playing games, recording videos and audio recordings, and the list goes on! With a 3 foot base, my phone never falls over. The elevated stand allows me to use the speakerphone without the audio being muffled. Plus, you can charge your phone easily, while it is in the stand, and never have to miss a call or text! I highly recommend tho stand as it is a great quality product for the price!

Best for desktop. I have one at each desk, love them
This just sits next to my computer at desk. The base is actually heavy for its size, which I like, because it gives it stability. I had one of these stands for a couple of years, but my partner at our SOHO desks kept borrowing it for his own use! And I liked it so much I just let him keep it and bought a second. Both still going strong. I think APPS2CAR appears to be concerned with quality. When it arrives, it even has a warranty/registration card — not common on a lot of inexpensive accessories. Also, the squeeze and release mechanism works great, and has not broken on either. I prefer to have my phone facing me up at a 45 degree angle next to my desk, with charger cable in, then laying flat: Easier to see the screen and touch/respond. This APPS2Car Cell Phone Stand does that job perfectly.
However, I would not recommend it for portable: It doesn’t collapse completely and will stick out in your bag. It’s clearly (as advertised) a desktop unit. For a portable stand, I have found this one is perfect: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FMNW9TK and fits in my bag almost unnoticeably, but when opened up, still holds my Samsung smartphone at basically the same angle (and is adjustable).

truly is as stable as you could hope for
i keep my phone by my bedside on a stand but i was constantly knocking it over and was concerned sooner or later i’d damage the phone. so i thought to try this out.
the materials used are okay not super cheap but also not high end but rather somewhere in the middle. it’s very easy to use. it holds my Samsung S23 ultra, a big phone, easily and not once in the past two months have i knocked it over.
all in all this stand did what i hoped for, preventing me from knocking my phone over and damaging it. i’ve had no problems with it whatsoever and for those reasons i would recommend it to others.

Good holder for the right situation- but not for everything
I ordered this in the hopes it would solve my problem of having a stand on my desk for my phone. It sort of does, but not really. I’ll keep looking.
That said, it is VERY well made, heavy enough not to tip over and I LOVE the adjustable features that allow me to move it around as needed.
CONS
The button on the back to release the “jaws” isn’t as sturdy as the rest of the unit and takes just the right angle to get it to release. Not a deal-breaker, but if you use it a lot, I don’t think it will last. The rest of the unit is like bombproof, but the button…not so much.
It’s short. You’ll get less than a foot of height out of it.
PROS
It’s heavy-duty, well made, and looks good no matter where you put it.
The feet can be drilled and the thing mounted to a wall or bookcase, etc. for higher access (Which I plan to do). Very easy to put together (two pieces) out of the box.
Holds phone in slim cases very well, but if you have a wallet/phone case, not so much.
My advice is to know exactly how and where you plan to use this before ordering. It’s an awesome little holder, but only if you just need a desktop holder. I might velcro it on my car dash, or use in my camper. I recommend it!
Great product, now i have to learn how to play the flute. –
Looks great, and sturdy.

I am currently using this as my daily phone stand. I love this phone stand. It is very stable, doesn’t let your phone slip at all. There is a button near the back to release the clamp on your phone (a very satisfying feeling). The stand is also very adjustable as you can adjust the angle at which you view the phone, and the phone part of it is able to rotate 360 degrees. Overall, it is a great phone stand.

à sicuramente, per chi come me lavora in scrivania ed utilizza auricolari bluetooth, comodo! perché ti permette un posto sicuro e stabile per lo smartphon, infatti a differenza di altri, grazie alle alette laterali non rischia di cadere.
Poi è settabile in diverse regolazioni, quindi ottimo.

My phone doesn’t sit in the case well and the stand is a bit too bulky and overall just doesn’t feel as great as I was expecting sadly
