Super versatile phone mount!
I have used this brand of mount for years, they are great, super sturdy. This is a newer design to me, and the squeeze function works great, easy to release, holds firm. I really like it. I have purchased 3 to replace my older spring secure model that required 2 hands to put your phone in it. I highly recommend these.

Great product! Sturdy, versitile, and it fits everything. My Smartphones, iPod’s, etc. Liked it so much, I now have two in my car, and two in my wife’s!One thing I will say is, if you’re not using it…it does rattle a bit while driving. But once you close the clamps (even one notch), it stops instantly. It’s ONLY when it’s completely unclamped that it does this.Cushioned sides protect your device. Groves/holes are strategically placed. VERY little effort involved in clampling your device in/getting it out. (I can do it one handed, WHILE backing out of my garage).Does what you want it to. Hold all your devices, safely and securely.For the best all around set up, get a proclip (custom mounts for EVERY car…google proclipusa) then, get the ARKON APGN-VSM Vehicle Specific Mount Adapter Plate to connect this Arkon holder to your mount, and you’ve got a solid, sleek setup that looks like it’s part of your car, not some cludgey patch-work add-on.VERY happy with this product, and as I’ve said, I’ve used it a couple times, in all my vehicles.

I have quite a few Arkon products. Most are pretty good quality and this item is no different. I use a dash mounted Arkon bracket in one Jeep and a floor mounted “Gooseneck” in my other Jeep. The mounts are all the same for Arkon products so interchanging them is a breeze. This particular mount I purchased to hold my iPhone 5 when I don’t need to use a full blown iPad when cruising around town. I have an iPad mount that I use for work and long road trips. My iPhone 5 is in a Pelican case and this cradle holds it perfectly. I also tested this cradle with a Galaxy Note 2 (No case) and the new HTC M8 (No case) and it holds them all very well. All in all very satisfied with the product and I’d definitely recommend to a friend.

Does Not Come with Mounting Plate
This is a really good phone holder. I have been looking for a sturdy phone holder for over two years. I used Kuda in the past, and they were very good. However, you will receive an inferior Kram phone holder if you order a Kuda now. The Kram is very fragile. The ProClip holder does not hold the phone securely. So, for me, this holder is GREATâï¸The downgrade to four stars is because it doesn’t come with a mounting plate. You shouldn’t have to pay extra for an accessory kit to get the mounting plate.

Don’t release it around sleeping babies!
I’ve had this about a month now, and it’s ok. I love that Arkon makes products that are versatile, and this one is no exception. I have an iPhone 6 with a PureGear DualTek case, which adds about 1/4-3/8″ on the sides.Two major cons, which each detract a full star:1) the cushion pads on each side can prevent the holder from securing onto the phone/device – squeeze tightly when you secure it. I’ve had my phone fall out several times because the foam provided a little too MUCH cushion and didn’t grab well. My phone case has textured grips on the sides, so it’s not the slickness of the device causing this problem.2) the release button is clunky and LOUD. It just resonates – literally – of cheap plastic. It makes a significant click that is almost more of a popping sound. It startled my cats when I released it in front of them, which isn’t good since I’m moving and they just don’t need more stress. Can’t imagine using this around small/sleeping kids; I would have returned it for this reason if I had little people.

Long lasting and well made
Offering this review on my second purchase. I first bought one of these around 2011/2012. It has lasted through daily use in my truck with no complaints. Finally, late in 2019, the original one I bought started to not grip. I was so impressed with its performance, I immediately went to Amazon and was shocked to find that the exact same item was still available. I wasted no time in ordering my second phone holder. Hopefully in 7 or 8 years I can provide a similar review on the next one I purchase.

I really enjoy this cradle, I have it mounted to the seat post mount, and it works great. Phone has never fallen out or moved. Well designs so you can charge the phone, in the cradle as well.
