Fast, easy to build barebones kit
Had a spare 2.5″ ssd laying around and thought it would be a good opportunity to upgrade from an aging dell micro PC with a i5 6500t. Bought some ram along to go with it.Installed Ubuntu 24.02 LTS, and have several docker containers running beautifully. If you run Frigate NVR you can use OpenVINO and the CPU doesn’t break a sweat. Have a few 2k cameras and Google nest cameras sending video to it.Very easy to put together, and get up and running. My old dell isn’t even in the same league. Highly recommended!

easy installation, works great
Tool-less installation of memory and an nvme SSD was simple and easy.Running Fedora Server edition and Gerbera media server, this box is plenty fast enough to serve music and movies over my WiFi. The 2.5G ethernet makes regular backups to this box from other computers noticeably faster than to my old backup server.
