Unique monitor
This monitor is great. The picture is clear and the battery life is great. It is expensive but there isn’t much else like it.People mentioning the tripod is flimsy must have gotten a different trypod. It is weighty! and very sturdy. Propping it up on the cover feels dangerous, I definitely recommend the tripod. The carrying case is basically a cheap $5 soft cover bag.If you can afford to overpay a bit for portability, this is great.

Game Anywhere with the ROG Strix XG17AHP Portable Gaming Monitor!
As a gamer who’s always on the go, I’ve been looking for a portable monitor that can keep up with my fast-paced gameplay. And the ROG Strix XG17AHP definitely exceeded my expectations! This stunning 17.3â Full HD IPS portable monitor is built specifically for gaming, with a 3ms response time, 240Hz refresh rate, and adaptive sync that ensure your game runs with speed and clarity. The colors are vibrant, the contrast is sharp, and the overall image quality is outstanding. I was truly impressed with how smooth and fluid my games ran on this monitor. But what really sets the ROG Strix XG17AHP apart is its ultra-thin design and built-in 7800mAh powerful battery. I was able to take it anywhere I wanted to go, whether I was gaming at a friend’s house or traveling for work. And with the included custom ROG Tripod and Smart Case, it was easy to set up and use on any surface.Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase of the ROG Strix XG17AHP portable gaming monitor. It’s the ultimate combination of speed, clarity, portability, and style. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just someone who wants a high-quality monitor that you can take on the go, this is the one to get!

A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for which is in this case…quality…
This is hands down my favorite and the best portable screen I have ever owned. Trust me when I say, I have owned about 10 other screens before this one. The picture quality is clear and the built in speaker is surprising loud for its size. I really like the included tripod. Most of these screens you see online only have a screen protector case that folds a certain way to allow you to view a few viewing angles and it can be quite low at time in terms of height. You kind of have to look down on most of these screens which gets a bit old on the neck. The included tripod adds height and tilt for you viewing comforts. I have this screen set up just above my Surface Pro 7 and it works brilliantly. I have thrown some triple AAA titles on the go with other laptop [gaming laptop MSI with RTX 3080] with it to see how it would handle gaming and once again I am surprised. The refresh rate and quality holds up on the go. I also appreciate the amount of accessories ASUS kicks in, which for the price, they should be included, lol. You get a AC adapter, USB C to USB A adapter, tripod, case that folds for screen protection and viewing angles, a travel bag [larger enough to hold this screen and laptop with some accessories, micro HDMI to HDMI cable, USB C to USB C cable. To hesitant buyers I would say, just buy this monitor. There are some negative feedbacks out there, but I feel it’s mostly because they received a defective unit. I too got bad screen initially. I returned the screen and pondered if it was a run of bad luck or if they weren’t designed as well perhaps. My second order of this screen has been flawless. I have had zero issues with this monitor whatsoever and I think I can’t go back to just a regular screen with less features.A word of advice: If you can get this item renewed, get it. I did and it works great. I have owned this new and renewed and didn’t see any differences. The screen came in same box with all accessories and no scratches or scrapes in my case. I also highly recommend getting the warranty. Even adding the warranty to this renewed device will not make this transaction more expensive than purchasing this item new. The benefit is you get the screen for much less and with years or warranty you can’t get if you purchase this item new. Just a thought, definitely not required, but the screen is not exactly ‘cheap’.Thanks for reading![Be on the look out for pics soon!]

Battery-based model will not turn on if battery depleted
Update 2024 Sept.: at this point, it will not even turn on, not even the reset shortcut works. The battery was supposed to be a plus, instead it ruins an otherwise usable if overpriced monitor. I wish I could rate it 0 stars.Battery-based model will not turn on if battery depleted. The display refuses to turn on until a minimum charge is achieved, despite a high-output charger/power-supply being attached to it!! At least a regular monitor turns on as soon as power is applied – but not this one. Making it nearly useless for desktop use.I thought it would be nice to have battery backup in my display for emergencies but instead after a trip I was unable to use my desktop mini PC for the better part of an hour because of the above. If this is not an issue for your usage case then maybe this display’s features may convince you to buy it, but otherwise having a monitor that arbitrarily will not turn on is a massive drawback as far as I’m concerned.

Pretty Awesome.
Awesome picture. Compact design. The base is very solid, like extremely solid. Only thing i wish it came with at this price point would be a protective sleeve so I could slip it into my bag I carry my laptop in… now, if they only made this in a 24″ or 27″ version……

Fantastic portable monitor
Love this thing. The fact that itâs battery powered is huge – so much more versatile than units that need to be plugged in. The build quality is top notch – everything that should be metal is metal, not plastic. Has a good weight to it. Only issue is the micro hdmi cable is more fragile than a traditional hdmi, but itâs not a big deal, you just have to be careful.

Great for mini PCs
I’ve had no issues with setting up this monitor, battery seems to be working perfectly and connection is good. I really have no complaints with this thing, except maybe the pricing haha.Overall feels great for gaming and would recommend if you think this is for you. I will update this post if anything bad happens…UPDATE: The monitor is still working as intended 2~ months later. My only actual complaint is that every time you want to use this monitor, you have to turn it on manually even if it’s not running on battery power. Overall, it’s a really solid product (as always from ASUS).

Great Screen and panel is vibrant and does what its meant to.Included cords are too rigid and cause sagging on the left side when using the stand as the stand isnt rigid at all and the screen wobbles due to this. The stand and cables are a real letdown but at least they can both be replaced with better quality items if your willing to search for them and pay more money for a better experience. If using with the bookcase stand only then its flawless.Overall my product was great and had no hardware flaws apart from the stand being pretty useless and the cables being far too rigid.

What can I say that other reviewers havenât mentioned. It his a ultra high quality niche product most likely for travel builds. The quality of the resolution looks better than my 1440p monitor. The sturdiness is maybe 4/5 but due to the price I handle it delicately anyways.I purchased a third party screen protector for around $40CAD and a solid case for transportation. Well worth it for peace of mind given the cost. Also purchased a longer micro HDMI given the stock one is under 3â….All in all, if you absolutely need an ultra high quality travel monitor, this is it. But protect it like itâs fragile (it is). If that isnât your use case definitely get a bigger and less expensive 1440p monitor.
