    Excellent portable display
I needed a second screen for my work laptop that I could also fly with. This fits the bill perfectly and has a good picture quality, and I even use it as a secondary display for my gaming laptop. Keep in mind that the max resolution is 1920 x 1080, so you should pick a different model if you want higher resolution than that, but I was going for price first and foremost. My only “gripe” is that the default USB-C cable it comes with for plugging into a power outlet is ridiculously short, but any good quality USB-C cable can replace it, so no big deal there.

Best portable screen I’ve ever seen!
This is easily the best portable screen I’ve ever seen! It has a built in battery, supports up to 240hz, 1080P, dual front facing speakers, iPad like smart cover, the back has a camera thread mount. The best part of having the battery is you do not have to plug it into anything besides HDMI for short play sessions, and when it does come time to charge it, plug in a type C cable to your console/pc to charge it without the need for another power supple cord! The sound this puts out is very impressive for its size! The colors and brightness are excellent, along with excellent viewing angles from the IPS display. There appear to be zero hot spots on the panel (usually from the bezels pressing on the display) which is impressive, every screen I’ve had in recent times has had these hot spots, they drive me nuts!Very well packaged , and feels like a quality product, I love the ROG symbol on the back that lights up when its in use, really like the all aluminum build. The price is high, but your getting what you pay for, if you want the best portable display around from a company you know and trust, you have found it.

    Great monitor. Bad value.
The Bad:Like others have said, Asus has hasn’t quite nailed the whole “quality control” thing with this monitor. My monitor shipped with one pixel that is stuck and either stays off or green depending on what’s asked of it. I would never have noticed it unless I ran a pixel test, but it’s nonetheless frustrating given the cost of this monitor. The only other gripe I have is that the included USB cable is rigid and doesn’t connect firmly to my laptop or the monitor itself. Simply shaking my desk causes the monitor to flicker. I replaced the included cable with a better one and the problem disappeared. The Good:This was the only monitor on the market that is anything approximating an all-around-good portable gaming monitor (trust me, I spent 3 months talking myself into just biting the bullet and buying this one). It was literally plug-and-play with my 2020 Razer Blade Base, and now that I’ve put it through benchmarking I can confidently say that it’s everything it is advertised as. If this (or a comparable monitor) would release at ~$350, I think it would be one of the most popular monitors of all time. I would personally buy another at that price, and I’d be okay with a lack of battery and even 144hz at that dollar amount. One final note for prospective buyers:If you have even the slightest inkling that you might want the package with the tripod, BUY THE ONE WITH THE TRIPOD. I tried a few other tripods and ran into a variety of issues ranging from “not strong enough” to “not balanced enough” to “can’t adjust angles enough” and I can confidently say that you’re not going to find a decent tripod that will actually serve this purpose for less than $50 – and that’s pushing it. Just spend the extra $50 and be done with it.Takeaway:If you think you want this monitor, you do. It’s not worth the asking price, but neither are the $300 travel monitors.

    Perfect portable work monitor
Brightness is adjustable. Blue light is adjustable. Built-in battery doesn’t drain your laptop battery until battery runs out. Monitor is big. Speakers in the monitor let you use it for presentations while you control from your laptop. Can be mounted vertically. This is my third portable monitor over several years. One from HP that was too dim, and too small. One from Lenovo that was too small. 100% recommend.

Great screen – However serious quality control problem!
First screen was missing power supply, and bi-directional USB-C doesn’t work from PC, however USB-C strangely only works with a Mac intermittently. I spent two weeks with ASUS technical support and their solution was (too hard basket) and to send it back to Amazon. Keep your expectations low with ASUS support. Amazon Prime support have been excellent.Replacement screen arrived yesterday, plugged it in today and 1/4 of the screen has dead pixels and thin rectangular white boxes that flicker and scatter across the screen. Tried multiple computers PC, Mac and Switch and picture was a mess! This is an amazing screen when it works, however from reading other customer reviews and personal experience ASUS has a serious quality control problem here.Amazon are sending my replacement-to-the-replacement screen this week. Fingers crossed it works because Amazon Helpdesk initially said that they usually don’t replace an item more than once so it’s going to be a roll of the dice if I get a perfectly working screen. Buyer-beware!

Works great. Beautiful picture. The USBC port does not work on my 2016 model iMac (I don’t think there is an iMac driver from ASUS yet), but the miniHDMI port works with it fine. Cool that this monitor has battery and separate power supply so it basically can be a monitor for my PS Vita TV or Switch. Speaker sound is surprisingly good for the small size. The folding cover/stand works fine but looks unstable. Overall quite happy with this. Wish there was a carry case that was cheaper then the one they offer in the combo package.

The listing clearly states in the Style Name section: “(tripod included)”.I did not receive the tripod. This is actually incredibly frustrating. Not only because I have not received what was clearly advertised, but now the monitor is far too low with the default stand that is included, and it causes me a lot of discomfort having it so low.The only reason I went for this more expensive monitor is because I thought I would be receiving the tripod (as advertised) so I can have the screen more closer to eye level, and that is just not what has been delivered.Very, very annoyed. I have just been completely lied to and mis sold a product that does not, and has not come with all its promised components.
