Great motherboard with everything a gamer needs!
I used this motherboard for my first PC build. While there were a lot of headaches involved, this motherboard made the daunting task of booting up and installing the necessary software very easy. The build quality is impressive and slick. The overall design made for quick installation of all my components. I appreciated the ease of removing all the components too when it came to troubleshooting. The GPU release button made removing the GPU quick and safe. That’s something more motherboards need to implementThe motherboard took up quite a bit of room inside my PC case. The tight fit left just enough room on all sides to get some creative cable management going. I would do a little more research on tolerances inside the case if cable management is a priority for you.A month later, I’ve had no issues with the preinstalled components. The onboard WiFi 6e delivers on its promised Internet speeds and stability. Bluetooth works well and can easily handle all my devices. There’s plenty USB A ports and audio jacks included that’ll handle pretty much everything you’ll need. There is only one USB C though so if you’d like more slots a good expander or a slightly different version of this card might be the move. All in all great experience with this! ASUS never fails to deliver on their ROG Strix line.

Amazing board, outstanding quality for it’s price.
I was very uneasy purchasing from asus again, as the previous board I had gotten came with faulty USB headers that were causing me to BSOD. This however has no issues, it runs smoothly, and while it does have a slightly long boot time, it doesn’t bother me at all. No errors ever since finishing my build, no BSODs, and a very clean and cool design. The value for your money is a no brainer, it works great if you control ot though Corsairs icue software plug-in as well, and I haven’t encountered any Software conflicts at all.

Works great. Wasnât ready for a 9950x without a BIOS flash though.
Good value, ample fan headers, wouldnât really use this board for any crazy overclocking personally. But you can save some serious money here on it and maybe go up a tier on GPU or CPU.Does everything I need it to do, box misled me though by having a âRyzen 9000 series readyâ sticker on it. Sent me on a bit of a troubleshooting spree. Especially because the issue presented itself as the LED indicator for the DRAM and then turning off before posting. This was as of 20 Oct 2024. After a Bios flash it worked great. Other than the misleading packaging, the actual product is perfect.

As of the time of writing this review, I’m on “Level III Support” with ASUS just to get an RMA
As the headline indicates, I am now currently waiting on a call from “Level III” support from ASUS. I’ve cleared the boss fights from Level I and II, gained a couple of spells, purchased slightly better equipment, and can now fast travel.Still, I wonder how many levels deep this dungeon goes.I’ve been an ASUS fan for many years, purchasing their motherboards and routers exclusively. Aware of the quirks of the AM5 platform, I wanted a B650 board and I instinctively went for the ASUS ROG line based on several reviews. I saw a few issues here and there such as the inability to post with 2 sticks of RAM until the bios is flashed, but these types of problems seem to plague each gen and are mostly addressable. This blind faith in ASUS combined with rationalization was ultimately my downfall. In addition to all of this, I would also like to mention that in the 2 decades + of building my gaming PCs, I have been fortunate to have never had to RMA a motherboard (or processor) before. I’ve been extremely lucky I suppose, so it’s highly likely that this is my time. I can accept this. What I cannot accept are the layers of insulation that ASUS seems to have built around themselves to deflect the issues that appear to plague their boards (after a deeper dive into the cesspool that is Reddit).I’m doing a straightforward build with an AMD 7800X3D processor, 32 GB of Asus approved Corsair RAM, AMD 7900 GRE GPU, and M.2 storage. Nothing crazy. All new components.I’ve covered the troubleshooting with ASUS support, and even sent images to which they don’t even reference. The ASUS Hat Trick I’m experiencing is comprised of:1.) CPU Over voltage error on boot2.) Will not post with more than 1 stick of RAM despite being in the suggested slot/configuration3.) Cannot flash BIOS through EZFlash 3, nor Windows utility (once I was able to hobble into an install)ASUS Support has not been helpful at all, has not listened to my troubleshooting process, nor have they referenced my pictures. In addition, their last communication was that I likely have CPU pins bent and to replace my processor.Unless I’m clinically insane, the AM5 pins are on the socket of the motherboard, not the CPU.As I gear up for the next boss fight, I’d implore you to consider not giving ASUS your hard-earned money. My low rating is not due to a defective item. Every manufacturer can have issues. It’s the terrible customer service I am receiving, and all the deflection I am experiencing with ASUS.For now, I’ve ordered an MSI Tomahawk board to replace this one as I continue the fight to have the ROG Strix B650R-F board RMA’ed.I will update my review if/when there is a resolution.

INSTALL WIFI/LAN DRIVERS BEFORE TAKING APART PC
This motherboard is overall good quality, nice heatsinks good standoffs. Easy to install. The one downside of this board is that it does not have onboarded wifi/lan drivers meaning you can not access the internet on first boot. You have to download the drivers to a drive before you take apart your pc or put them on a USB or you will be without internet until you do this. For some reason the board doesn’t get wifi drivers so fair warning INSTALL WIFI/LAN DRIVERS IN A FILE BEFORE TAKING PC APART.
