Great little mini computer!
I bought this to use as a home theater PC. It’s worked great for that so far, performance has been good enough for light gaming, and good for videos. This is probably even overkill for what I’m using it for. If I were in need of a home lab machine, I’d consider a fleet of these, because with 8 cores and 16 threads, and 64GB of ram max… These things can be turned into a real powerhouse.I’ve also opened it up to look at what’s inside, it has a full length NVMe slot, and 2 SODIMM slots, so if you want to upgrade it… You can do that. Seems pretty well built on the inside too.I would also point out… It’s less than 300 bucks. It’s such a great computer for that price. It’s crazy how cheap these mini PCs are these days and how capable they are.

Perfect for Homeschool
I purchased this as part of my children’s homeschool experience. They do a lot of worksheets, but I wanted a balance of technology to accompany what they do physically. This allows them to practice typing skills, stream educational websites and videos, and play low-end PC games comfortably (we haven’t attempted AAA titles).I love that it doesn’t take up a lot of space and looks clean on the small computer desk we have. The packaging from the manufacture was sleek and provided good protection. It was incredibly easy to set up; it’s basically plug and use minus setting up your Windows login information. It’s quiet; I never hear the fan from across the room while I watch the kids use it. I’d say it probably takes about 20-30 seconds to startup. After that, I notice no lagging to perform the tasks we want to do. Because we purchased this on sale, I found it to be an incredible value for the level of performance.

BEST MINI PC FOR MEDIA SERVER.
I run my PLEX media server with this system. The specs on this tiny system are impressive. I run it “headless”. That means I don’t use a monitor or keyboard on it. I keep it plugged into my router and use Microsoft RDP to access it remotely from my tower PC or PC laptop. You can also use RDP from a Mac.I only have 16 Megs of RAM with it, and it runs PLEX with no issues. The video card (GPU) is the best you can get in a tiny system, and it runs an actual Ryzen 7 CPU. You can probably use it for gaming, but I would get the 32 Megs of DDR4 with it in that case. If you are a PC Guru like me or handy with electronics, you can install another 16 Gigs of RAM in it yourself and save a couple of bucks.Anyway, if you need a PLEX server, or a cheap system for light gaming, or even a Windows PC for working at home, this is a great system for the money.

Compact and powerful
The BeeLink SER5 PRO is a great little mini-pc. I paired it with a VESA mounting bracket which let me attach it to the rear of my monitor so it is invisible and doesn’t take up desk space. Has plenty of ports for attaching all your peripherals. The fans make only a subtle whine and are not at all disturbing.I immediately wiped the Windows OS and installed a Linux OS (PoP!_OS) and it runs fast and efficiently. But there’s plenty of space on the hard drive if you want to keep Windows and dual-boot.

I love this PC. Provides lots of performance at a decent price. Wouldn’t recommend it for gaming but it makes for a nice multi-monitor workstation that can still play 4k video.

Compact Space-saver
If you’ve got limited desktop space, this is absolutely my recommendation. It barely has a footprint, has all the connections you need for peripherals, and runs as fast as needed. Definitely leave space around it for airflow/cooling, but that’s all to be considered.

No RAM upgrades, No customer service
Although advertised as being able to upgrade RAM up to 64gb total, that is not possible. It will only recognize ONE slot with 32GB, the other slot will not work. Tried 3 different sets of RAM, from Timetec to Crucial and is a no go.Visit the website and try to download any drivers or firmware. It is not available. They need to know your serial number to give you updates, and it will take a month before they reach out to you, with 200 questions, and then wait for the reply, to get useless instructions, that will not work, after you spend 2 days trying to understand their badly written instructions in less than ideal English.Now, if you are 100% sure that you won’t need any upgrades, or will not use as a PROXMOX server, that will required a firmware upgrade… then you should be fine. Its quiet and runs fine. Unfortunately it did not work out for me, since I needed the RAM upgrade, and we got delayed past the return windows trying to be helped. Amazon was amazing to still allow us to return it, so we can purchase a different brand, which will allow the advertised RAM upgrade.
