Good quality & stylish
Let’s start with everybody’s taste is different. My source music is often from analog tape to CD (AAD format) so the quality and sound will be much different than more modern music from recent years. So having said that, I believe the bass is much more Dynamic and clear than similar priced headphones. Highs and mid-range sound good too even though the style of music I listen to can often reveal the tape Source sound. These headphones do not reveal as much of the tape source as others. Comes with the standard interchangeable earbuds for different size ears and a small carrying pouch. Standard volume buttons, track selection, pause, mute, microphone so no new innovations or surprises. So overall I’m very satisfied with these headphones. The cons are the wire seems rather flimsy and delicate and I can only imagine that they are going to pull out of the plug in the headphone piece itself. This hasn’t happened yet it just seems flimsier than other headphones. I’m a bit hard on headphones and the wire usually breaks for me around the 3.5 mm Jack and I have a hard time getting headphones to last for a month to a year. Wireless, which these are not, break on me even faster so I don’t wish to invest a lot of money in headphones. These headphones seem a good value for the money I just hope I can make them last a little longer than normal.

Amazing Sound at a low price (2018 update: and Durable)
2018 August update: One full year later and still working. Nor many of my prior earbuds can say the same. Here is the original 2017 review …These days the under $50 headphones have been getting better and better, so when i saw this well rated $40 earbud discounted to $20, I decided to take a chance. I have poor tolerance for bad earbuds and have tossed out more than a few pairs rather than let them ruin my music. So for $20, I figured it was was worth taking a chance. When I tried it, my reaction was Wow! This is good, very good. It reproduces great music that is loud and clear. In fact, it’s louder than all of my other earbuds. It hit’s the highs, the midrange, and some of the base . Most importantly, the singers voice are sharp and clear. Even at $40, it would be worth the money. So what does doesn’t it do?. You noticed I said “some of the base.” It gets enough bass for easy listening and you’ll definitely know it’s there, but it wont shake your head, rock your socks, or kick your boots. A few of my other headphones get more bass. However, for under $50, I have to trade off something, volume, clarity, highs, mid-range, or bass. If you want to get all of this, you’ll need to buy a Bose Soundsport Pulse or another $200 earbud. (I haven’t tried all of the pricey buds, but I just tried out the Soundsport Pulse this morning. I’d love to have one, but it’s way outside my budget.)2018 UpdateOrignal “good earbud should last at least a year. If it doesn’t make the cut, I will update this rating.” It’s August 2018 and they are still going strong. It made the cut.

After spending some time listening to these headphones, I can honestly say that I am impressed.Build Quality 4/5.The YSM1000 model headphones from Betron are built solid. All metal ear piece, âYâ connection, and full metal plug with plating. The cord design allows twisting but not knotting; unlike many others that I have with a flat cord design. These claim to be Noise isolating headphones and, if fit properly, will isolate most exterior noises from your listening environment. The cord length overall is just a bit short for how I personally wear my phone/MP3 player however, for my friends, kids, wife, or if wearing this on an armband during a workout, the cord length is just right.Cord noiseâfor noise isolating headphones, there is none. For a $18 set of headphones, this is outstanding. I have a much higher priced pair of noise isolation headphones that have not been able to pull this off.Sound Quality 4/5The YSM1000 model is advertised as âHeavy Deep Bassâ¦â headphones. With 11mm Drivers, I would have expected a better bass response than they delivered from a flat EQ Setting. Unfortunately, these sounded very muddy on the low end at first.Once adjusted with an EQ however, these headphones began to show their true colors; crystal clear highs, warm vocals, and finally, solid, if not too much bass. Yes, these did begin to live up to the advertised âHeavy Deep Bassâ¦â as advertised. Crystal clear highs, deep punchy bass, warm vocals. Basically these are my reference for anything that I use on my phone or MP3 player. I found that after listening to the YSM1000 for about a week, I was genuinely impressed. These were just as good, if not better than my Skull Candyâs. Bonus to the YSM1000âthey do not knot up like my Skull Candysâ seem to do anytime I set them down, or in my bag.While the Skull Candy’s produce a much tighter bass response, the Betrons seem to produce a deeper, more resonant bass response. Both handled vocals extremely well however, the Betrons seemed to have a much warmer tone than the skull candys. As for the highs (treble), the Betron YSM1000 smoked my skull candys; that was very suprising. These open up the high end like I have not heard in a set of headphones in this price-point before.Vs–Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Professional Studio Monitor HeadphonesYes, I put them up against a set of reference headphones. No, they are not that good but, I did not expect them to be. However, it did give me a chance to see how far I could tune them sonically for the best quality reproduction. First, The ATH-M40x are 100% dead neutral headphones; the only thing you hear through them is what the source is putting out, no extra bass, or anything fancy. Just straight music. When comparing the Betrons against the ATHs, I had to make quite a few adjustments on the mixing board to bring as close as possible to reproducing a dead neutral sound.Take AwayFor a budget set of headphones, these are designed and sound quite well. And, after fussing with them on the mixing board to bring them as close to dead neutral as possible, I can back up the claim that they are actually engineered to produce more bass in the 31-150hz range than my Skull candys. While they will never be used as reference hadphones, they can be adjusted to bring out the best in almost any music that you like, whether that is a tight kickdrum of rock and roll, or the sonic thump of pop/rap, or even the warm notes of an acoustical guitar.FULL DISCOSURE:All headsets were tested on both a Samsung Galaxy S5 running Power Amp as the MP3 player; as well as a Toshiba Satellite 17D Laptop running Sony Sound Forge; All EQ Settings were set for full flat–dead neutral to start and then adjusted to personal presets to account for preferred listening style. EQs were then reset to dead neutral and band by band adjustments were made until optimal settings for each band was reached. About as good as it gets
In terms of audio they sound great to my non-audiophile ears (required), look nice (plus), and are about as tangle free as it gets (wanted) which makes me happy. Alongside a pair of Apple EarPods for a reference source, I find these far more comfortable and less prone to coming out of my ears and comparable /enough/ in quality.To do any better than this for a sane price, I imagine you would have to buy a bunch of different earbuds and pick which ones sound best for the environment and music you listen in. For those of us who just want decent sound for our music and aren’t using them for professionally, these are great and priced quite fairly.

These are the best quality earphones you can buy anywhere in this price range. Sound quality is the most important thing for earphones, and these are as good as ones you can buy for 3 or 4 times the price. I own several Betron speakers around the house and several pairs of earphones that I keep in my jackets or bags. I have recommended them to everyone. My only complaint is that we canât get all of the newer Betron products in the Canadian Amazon store that I used to be able to get in the UK store. But even if the options are limited here, the YSM1000s are exceptional. The sound quality is fantastic for this price point and they look amazing. They are also very well built and will last a long time. My old pair was 4 years old and sounded and looked like they were brand new. I only bought these because I lost my other pair and the YSM1000s are my go-to earphones. If youâre looking for earphones in this price range, buy these. You wonât be disappointed.Betron – if you read these, please keep making fantastic products, and branch out more into Canada!

Me encantaron estos audifonos, el precio es genial para la calidad de sonido que tiene, los bajos y lo comodos que son. Hice pruebas de 4D, 8D, 16D, y en todas me sorprendió la calidad del audio. Los recomiendo para ambientes tipo oficina (Home Office), pero no para exterior, o hacer ejercicio. Son frágiles en mi percepción para correr o algo asi. Pero para estar en casa y tener buena calidad de audio y bajos, esta es una gran opción. Lo uso diario para home office, y el microfono tambien es genial. Los recomiendo mucho.
