An Excellent Phone with GREAT Customer Support
Acenis’ large button phone is idea for my dad. He ha macular degeneration and these big numbers are just perfect for him. The black numbers on a white background are easy to see and there’s very little chance of fat-fingering numbers when dialing out. There are also three memory-dial keys at the top for frequently dialed numbers that can be labeled with pictures for ease of recognition. There’s also a soft grip on the phone for a more secure hold. The first phone we received could only receive calls and wouldn’t dial out. We tried the trouble-shooting options and none of them worked, so I contacted Acenis’ customer service group. They confirmed we tried the various trouble shooting options and offered a few more things for us to try, which also didn’t work. They apologized for the problems and sent us out a new phone that worked perfectly. There was no back-and-forth, no weeks of delay — they were fast and remained in communication until we received the phone. If you have parents with vision issues and are looking for a landline phone that’ll help them easily make calls — you’ve found it. And the fact that the company stands behind the quality of their communication products makes this an easy choice.

A Grandsons Honest Review
Purchased this home phone for my grandmother because of its bigger buttons and simple designs. Sadly not even 2 months later the phone stopped working entirely. I couldnât dial any numbers for her and would only hear a buzzing noise. I tried contacting the manufacturer but never say any responde from them. I really hope in the future they could fix this problem since it is a really good idea and definitely would help elderly folks that arenât so tech savvy as mine.

Great phone & excellent customer service
Purchased this phone for my elderly father who lives in assisted living period. He has hearing, speech, grip, and mobility issues that affect his ability to use a telephone without assistance. The handset has a grip pad on it which makes it easy for him to hold the handset when using the phone. It also has a speaker phone for a hands free option and this is particularly helpful for conference calls. There are 3 memory buttons you can set up to program 3 different numbers for one button push dial. This makes it really easy for my dad to call us if he needs anything in case he forgets our number. When we received the phone we followed the instructions and registered it. When we went to set up the phone we made a mistake without knowing it and plugged the handset into the outjack on the back of the phone. For some reason we completely missed the handset Jack on the side of the phone. Needless to say we didn’t get the phone to work and we were very frustrated. The next day I had resigned myself to purchase a different phone when customer service from Terry phone reached out to me via text to ask me how it went with. The installation of the phone. I told them that we couldn’t get the phone to work and I thought it was defective. They responded with some troubleshooting things to try to see if we could get the phone to work. I was certain I had done everything right? The first time and was reluctant to try but I did anyway. Needless to say when I Followed the customer service reps (THANK YOU, MARY!) suggestions that’s when I discovered the jack for the handset on the side of the phone. I was embarrassed about being such a dimwit. But I was extremely happy that the phone was now working and I didn’t have to get a new one after all. My dad absolutely loves the phone it’s easy for him to use. I would recommend this phone for anyone.

Better than most
After having purchased other models which had to be returned, I had low expectations that anyone made a big-button phone with decent audio. And let’s face it – the only reason to have a phone is for the audio! This one was easy to install, and the handset audio is great – on both ends of the call. It’s not Bose, but for the price it is good sound. The speaker is marginal at best, so if a speakerphone is a must you may have to keep looking. But it still ended up better than the other 2 or 3 we tried in this price range.

My mom can hear
I bought this phone for my mom in December. Sheâs so hard of hearing. She has hearing aids, but also a hand held helper so to speak, that she paid extra for, for her hearing as ids that way she she turn up and down depending on where sheâs at! We tried a caption phone and there is so much static, the people that type the convo on the other end, was slow, so we turned the caption off. Last week, I ordered another one of these phones for her computer room and got rid of the cordless phones that was doing absolutely nothing. In fact, when I call came in and she answered it on the cordless phone sheâs always say hold on. I canât hear you and she would have to get up and go to the Terry phone or the static phone in the front room. Sheâs fed up with this one, but only kept it because of her being able to turn up. Since I replaced the cordless phone in the computer room, with this new Terryphone, she hasnât had to get up and move to another room when a call comes in. Sheâs thrilled to pieces. Will be ordering 2 more to replace the others in the house! It also had 3 big buttons u top to store 3 of the easiest numbers she calls the most. Instructions very easy to set up too. Iâd highly recommend getting this if u or anyone else is hard of hearing. I tell u, weâve tried some other phones, but it was a no go, so we gave up. She had macular degeneration as well, and the big buttons a BIG fat plus!! Iâd totally recommend anyone looking for a phone for the elderly or anyone that is hard of hearing!! Awesome phone for sure

This phone is great and does what it says. One touch picture dial for a recent stroke victim is a game changer. Lots of volume settings too for seniors who are hard of hearing. We thought we had an issue with the first phone we ordered so we made a return. Turns out it was user error. Embarrassed to say we didnât see the small jack on the side to connect the handset. Nonetheless, the return process was super smooth, and because I had already set up the warranty with the âTerryâ company via text message, the staff was incredibly responsive and helpful, offering a full return if I had trouble processing it through Amazon. Got the second phone quickly and everything worked perfectly.Purchase with full confidence that you will have support if needed. Would order from them again anytime.

Really nice phone. Has 3 quick call buttons so itâs good for an older person with memory problems. My 93 yr old mother in law loves it. Replacement warranty is outstanding.

My mother is in her 90âs and is hard of hearing and has mascular degeneration and canât see well. They instituted the area code be dialed with the phone number and she just couldnât dial the numbers quick enough and the call wouldnât go through . This was a safety concern for us as she is still living alone but wouldnât be able to call us if needed. We were able to put three contacts on her phone that all she would need to do is push one button – worked great and easy to program. I find the phone really loud but works perfectly for her as she is so hard of hearing. Would recommend for seniors.

Phone didn’t work. Returning for a new one. Idea is perfect for older people. Large buttons, on press calling. Just not very robust.
