Bone conduction headphones for my swimming workouts
I swim with resistance bands in my home pool three times a week to burn calories, and it can get pretty boring. So I bought these bone conduction headphones since they’re waterproof and can be worn outside my swim cap and won’t fall off. With the constant sound of water, they’re comfortable for listening to music. I like that they’re not in-ear, so I can hear my music clearly and still catch if my family calls out to me from the poolside. I place my music player by the pool when I use them. Our pool isn’t very big, just a regular above-ground pool. The signal is stable, and the Bluetooth connection is solid. Listening to music is smooth with no real lag, makes my workouts feel better, and gives me more energy. The sound quality is decent; although there’s no heavy bass, I’m satisfied with its performance as a bone conduction headphones.

    Safer than In-Earbuds
These are my favorite earphones to where when I’m walking, hiking, or biking. I feel they’re so much safer than the in-ear headsets. I’m better able to hear and be aware of my surroundings. These are excellent; I can still hear traffic and other noises around me without compromising the sound quality of what I am listening to on the headset. The sound is clear with nice tones; a great base and treble notes. I listen to music or podcasts and can even answer calls if needed. They’re very simple to use and they stay on securely and are comfortable to wear as well. I also get tired of having ‘things’ in my ears for an extended period of time so these are a fabulous choice. The battery life is remarkable; I get a lot of use on a single full charge. It paired immediately with my Samsung S23 phone. Included is a nice pair of foam earpieces you can wear to block all outside noise (they’re great for sleeping, too!) Highly recommend!

    Viva La Z8 Generic Headphone!
So foremost these bone conduction headphones are legendary, but not because they’re necessarily good. Don’t get me wrong these are a quite competent bone conduction pair that deliver a decently loud sound for the style of headphone (probably borderline air conduction in some ways, but they come with a pair of earplugs as a gimmick to make the first time user go “oh that’s what bone conduction is!”) I’ve purchased this same pair about 4-5 times over the course of 7 yrs & am aware of how they eventually fall apart but definitely on sale these are worth it.I’ve never tried Aftershokz (because they were always pricier and had equally as mixed reviews) However I used to buy these from a reseller named SOMORA/Genso and after needing a new pair earlier this yr I was saddened to find they had closed shop. I eventually settled on a pair by Tayogo because the chassis was similar to the Z8’s (with triangular driver housing instead of the familiar round one) & so I thought the internals must’ve been similar (I was wrong). The Tayogos I tried had a cheaper headband/cheaper speakers with bigger subs slapped on them to hide the fact that everything about them was awful (you can find my review of the Tayogo clone pair on my page needless to say the pair didn’t last long.)Once the Tayogo pair died I was back on the hunt for a new pair of Bone Conduction headphones to replace my old Z8’s (the market is oversaturated these days, unlike when I first got into the style of headphone there were only a few manufacturers, also the term ‘air-conduction’ aka TRASH hadn’t been coined yet.) and so I thought I’d try this seller because the pictures looked exactly the same & low and behold THEY ARE THE Z8s!!! lolI’d say these are best bang for buck bone conduction headphones. They’re consistent to say the least (which is big in this space where you take a gamble on any new pair), and the mixing is more flat so no obnoxious bass, but rather a wellrounded sound that reminds me of how studio headphones are mixed (where like everything is flat so highs, mids, and bass all come in without any range being overbearing) & that’s what I’m into, they also get quite loud for this style of headphone (sound bleed is definitely a thing if you’re worried about that). Something to keep an eye on; the plastic glue will eventually fail and the wire will be exposed (usually a yr into use) & if you don’t take care of it the right ear will usually fail and the left ear will continue working for maybe another yr trouble free. I think this is my 5th pair? idk I’ve bought them a lot of yrs because they’re dependable/cheap and they break the same way everytime so it’s never a surprise.Definitely a competent clone to name-brand and watch the price trends of this product, because these can come in at like 1/4th the price of the Aftershokz on sale (for similar quality I assume just from reading comments about Aftershokz). Glad these are back on the market, it’s so stupid but I got so excited when I saw that familiar box & realized they are my fav headphone sold by a different company (wonder if there’s a warehouse of these somewhere lmao).4/5 stars: Because their the ultimate bone conduction headphone but that doesn’t say much because the bone conduction market is entirely based on gimmicks. Cheap. Well-Rounded & Dependable.PS next time I need headphones I want to try Sony Linkbuds because those look like a fun alternative to the open-ear listening experience.

Terrible Sound and Awkward Design: A Major Disappointment
I had high hopes for these Bone Conduction Headphones, but they were a major disappointment. While the Bluetooth connection was stable, the sound quality was unbearable—extremely scratchy and distorted. Listening to music or making calls was frustrating, and I couldn’t tolerate using them for long due to the poor audio. The design is also a big issue. These headphones are unnecessarily bulky and awkward to wear, making them uncomfortable and difficult to adjust. I never even got to test the battery life because the terrible sound quality made them unusable from the start.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend these headphones due to their bad sound and awkward fit.

    Great…sometimes
Works great in a quiet or mildly loud area. If there’s more noise around you, speaker phone on your phone with volume all the way up is a lot louder (and that’s saying something bc speaker phone on my phone does not get very loud.) It feels like the loudest volume is a 6 or 7 so you keep hitting the turn up button but all that happens is a high beeeeep to say “hey man, that’s as loud as I get bc I’m trying to protect your ears.” And I’m like “hey man, you’re not even IN my ears, that’s the whole point. Also, why don’t you let me worry about my ears bc I’m already mostly deaf and that’s why I’m trying all these other options which are costing me money and not solving the problem and besides, it’s none of your business anyway. Just vibrate sounds louder damnit! Sorry for cursing. Please and thank you.” But he never gets any louder. So I save these guys for quieter areas, which is pretty limiting.Oh and another thing, only if I’m wearing for hours and hours, will the pressure start to cause a small headache, vs a headband which causes a medium headache within an hour. They’re comfortable and don’t fall down.As for telephone calls, I always remove and talk on speaker phone. This is mostly out of habit bc I’m a panicky person who is surrounded by impatient people who, for some crazy reason, think I’m on the scatter brained side of functioning. Alright, that’s it for now, tune in next week for my thoughts on “smart” stuff.

Fab headphones. Well worked for me in daily basis. It got damaged on a super rainy day, under 8 hours of outdoor activity. Didn’t expect that to survive, but just got slightly problem with battery.Good quality.I dont feel any difference between sound quality ofthis headphone and branded ones such as aftersockz. It works, sound is not super but you can hear the sound as well as surroundings.Battery works for more than 5 hours which is great.Good waterproof , used it under rain and no problems.

Best £5 I’ve ever spent on a piece of tech, work really well… Only thing is occasional high-pitch voices give a little bit of an electric shock, mild, static like shock.Mic isn’t best, but it works and people can hear (depending on signal & wind) 75% of the time.Update – shocked at the price hike, wouldn’t pay the new £27 for them! They weren’t that amazing! Mine broke (the charge port) can be a bit fiddly, hence looking at this thinking, for £5, not that bad… But not £27+
