A++ New unit / confusing seller pics / notes / almost dismissed as scam item.
Two confusing things. Otherwise happy with product delivered.
A++ Was new in package and unlocked when arrived.
The confusing factors seller may want to update.
    1. Photos on this Cat S62 show images of a FLIR camera at work. I almost
bought this item thinking it had FLIR for $150. Upon further investigating on Cat website
I found this model is a CAT S62 as advertised although with misleading pics ( NOT PRO, Which has the FLIR unit ) For $150 this was exactly what I needed and do not need the FLIR, just a rugged work phone.
    2. In descriptor it states unlock instructions were to be sent with unit, which made me call a few t mobile employees I know. They were unsure what this statement meant as the phone should be factory unlocked if new and to question this item as a scam. I took my chances as it was backed by prime returns. As stated above the unit was factory unlocked and I didn’t have to do anything to unlock as expected. Seller please update to avoid future confusion.

    Absolute disappointment.
What an absolute disappointment of a phone. I haven’t even had my s62 for 2 months and have already had more then my fair share of glitches and problems with this phone. On top of the phone itself being junk the battery is even worse. Can’t even make one full day if I have music playing through Bluetooth.
Problems I’ve experienced consist of but aren’t limited to
Calls dropping when I have service
Calls lagging or freezing up during a sentence
Phone locks up during a call
Phone shuts off during a call
Phone shuts off while taking a picture
Phone makes notification noises constantly without getting a notification. Then when I do get a notification it doesn’t make any noise.
Battery is absolutely garbage. Will barley last 8 hours if I’m using it for music. Let alone then fact it will barley last a day if I leave the phone alone.
The charger has no cover leaving dirt to get in the charge port not allowing a charger to be put all the way in. Id say the only good thing about this waste of money. Was the screen. It seems tough.

    Phone arrived locked to T-Mobile
Trying to get it unlocked — app doesn’t work to unlock big shocker — on hold now with T-Mobile. I have a feeling it’s going back.
UPDATE: I made a mistake. The app is built into Android — Go About Phone > Unlock option. This is the correct unlock app. There’s one in the app store that WILL NOT WORK despite it being identical. It unlocked quite smoothly. T-Mobile support was awful — don’t recommend. It was never on their network so they can’t over-the-air unlock — the phone itself was the unlock tool.
So far so good. I’ll update with info on how the phone works in a week or two.
UPDATE2: I love the phone. Plenty of performance. The battery lasted a week on the first charge!! Very impressed overall. Sand gets stuck in the lip around the screen, and the USB-C port on the bottom is quite large letting stuff get stuck in easily. Just make sure it’s dust and lint free before plugging in. I don’t trust it to actually be waterproof even if the manual says I can film underwater in the ocean for up to 35 minutes — I won’t be testing that. Sorry folks.
VERY IMPORTANT: This device supports only T-Mobile’s mobile LTE data channels, not AT&T’s or Verizon’s. Unlocked and on AT&T they will text you to tell you it’s unsupported but you will still be able to make phone calls (incl. 911), send and receive text messages (SMS), and send and receive multimedia messages (MMS). Voice over LTE (VoLTE) works just fine, too. Just no mobile data. This is certainly a hassle, but not the end of the world. I just use my partner’s hotspot who does support AT&T.
Overall, some regulations need put in place so all phones are compatible with all networks. The consumer gets f’d too easily, but that’s the American way…

    Built to last…
Great phone, quality build, will work on T-Mobile and Mint mobile, could not get it to work with AT&T. Overall very happy with it at this price.

    Love it
Can’t believe this phone is less than $200! And it’s basically comes with a case on the phone so I’m saving money there as well. Great phone.

    Do not suggest to buy
    -Battery drained very fast.
I use this cell phone normally like watching video, listening to music, social media but drained like 20 percent per hour. The good thing is when you dont use the phone, the battery could last for a day or two
-Heavy and thick like a rock
-slow and stuck. Apps notification could overwhelm this phone. Then you can imagine how this phone runs like.
-Pogo charging is worthless. No pogo charger has been made for S62
-Suggest to spend more to buy Motorola defy shockproof cell phone. I have used that phone. It is a lot better than this.

Average phone that has a short life
At first I loved this phone… rugged, waterproof, long battery life, all in a stout (but not oversized) chassis. A “contractor grade” phone. Everything I need for work. But I soon found out that those were the only good things about the phone. I have, without a case, dropped it in puddles and occasionally when getting out of the ambulance without issue. Oh and the battery!… that thing would run ALL day (I use multiple apps for medications, protocols, ect.) and keep going till my shift was long over. This thing was a tank! Well, that’s not the whole story. This thing was also slow. The processor straight up sucks and the memory was mediocre. Finally, a little after 2 years it just shut off and never turned back on. CAT tech support is less than stellar. I’ve called them on a couple of occasions with what should have been relatively easy questions. Needless to say I was left to figure them out on my own.
I really WANTED to like this phone but, now I’m left with a dead phone.
    PROS – IP68 waterproof
    Very durable without a case
    insane battery life
easy to use with medium hands
    USB-C charging port
CONS – Slow processor speed (can’t run complex apps)
    Tech support isn’t helpful
    RAM needs improvement
life of phone is ridiculously short
