Great quality for the price
The build quality was surprisingly high for $30. It’s solid, has rubber grips on the bottom, and looks rather nice! The 7.1 surround sound is a game changer across the board, watching videos, playing fps, playing casual games, and music are all enhanced!

Impressive sound. Good support
Initially I had issues with setup. Customer service was very good and response was prompt. In the end I sorted out the issue myself. On a MacBook, you choose the Cubilux CA7 from sounds. After that you go to launchpad to look for the app Audio MIDI or you can find the Audio MIDI app in finder-applications-utilities.Open the Audio MIDI app and choose 6 channels if you have a 6 channel surround.I wish that Cubilux made a video or have instructions for setup.Now for the product review. For music, I was very surprised and very impressed. The DAC is really good. Using the 5.1 surround, the music had a better sound stage with clearer separation of instruments and vocals. Very detailed sound. My sound system is an old dell system but it still sounded so good, I cannot imagine how good it would sound with a proper hifi system.I have yet to try it out with a game but I expect good things.

Worked perfectly with Windows 11 – 24H2
Purchased this as my new motherboard did not have 5.1 surround sound. Worked great with my Windows 11 build and I now have 5.1 Surround sound. There were no drivers that I had to install. It was pure Plug and Play. As a reminder, Windows 11 defaults to Stereo for new sound devices. Make sure you go into “CONTROL PANEL” => “SOUND” in Windows to configure your device speakers (Stereo -default-, quadraphonic, surround, 5.1 surround (side surround speakers), 5.1 Surround (rear surround speakers), 7.1 Surround). I have no problems recommending this USB Sound Card for anyone needing to up their audio game.

Awesome usb sound card
No drivers to install and it makes my Logitech Z906 sound awesome. Much better than my onboard audio. I also wanted a card with only analog out and this was all I could find. No need for optical because my motherboard has that. Motherboard also has analog out nut it was noisy static mess, This resolved that and at an affordable price. At the moment that I am writing review they are sold out. I hope that more become available because wouldn’t mine having another to carry in my laptop bag. The device is small and feels well built.

Works. What else do you need?
Seemed like I had to fiddle with my browser to get it to output sound as 2.1, but with a couple restarts this is working. Fixes the issue where I have 2.1 speakers and no way to get the sound to them from the laptop. Quality is good. Note: the unit is tiny! Don’t let that discourage you.

It was ALMOST what I needed
Everything worked well. took a few unplug and plug back in, a PC restart; worked fine in the end.Computer recognized the device no issue. Configuring the speakers was a breeze and actually does work*.But there is one issue, on windows specifically, the device will not allow an option to tick for “Sound Fill” which will basically force surround sound on all apps.Unless you have an app that allows you to change audio output type, then its kind of pointless for using with a surround sound setup. There are no drivers so unfortunately there isnt any other way to get this to work.If you need this as a minor upgrade to a regular onboard sound card, it does actually do the job. So I recommend it for thatBut for its purpose as a 7.1 SURROUND SOUND Card, I can not recommend.

USB Sound Card
I bought this so that I could have my sound system hooked up to a USB hub (actually my monitor, through USB) and when I switch between my work PC and my personal PC, I just have to move one cord and my keyboard, mouse, speakers, microphone, etc. all move together. It’s working very well for me on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs.
