Audio quality sounds so much better!
I used this to hook up my Edifier speakers to my iMac running Ubuntu and my speakers sound so much better. You hear more instruments and sounds when playing music, and live music sound great. This DAC is way better than using on-board audio.

Just what I needed.
Needed a cable to complete a hookup and Amazon delivered!

DELAY Delay delay…
I used this item to plug my guitar into my laptop. It’s not bluetooth, just a direct connection through an A to D converter, so I figured the delay would be very slight. However, if you play ‘Dust in the Wind’, you are just about starting the second chord when you start hearing the first chord. Boy howdy, does that ever screw you up. So it’s not useful for that. That being said, if you are playing through other stuff, this would work like a charm to record what you are doing; you just can’t listen to the recording line while you are playing. I thought the sound was fine, it’s just the delay that messes you up. It works, and sounds fine, but it doesn’t do what I wanted it for. Four stars.

Its not bad.

Ok compatibility but noise floor is terrible
Ran a whole bunch of different tests with this card, and I was trying to understand why my new near audiophile level microphone was delivering so much noise and was very quiet, and compared that to the performance of internal Mac sound card and others, and realized that the noise addition through the sound card was really awful 🙁

Work great
Plugs in easy, sounds great when outputting to stero through pin to RCA. As far as sound quality, much better than AptX Bluetooth playing Amazon Ultra HD music. You can feel more than hear the difference

Audio works on Raspberry Pi, but microphone does not
Description claims to support Raspberry Pi, which is only half true. On the latest version of the distro and it is not recognized as a capture device, only an audio device.

Cubilux audio interfaces are insane!
I initially bought the cheaper 192KHz 24 Bit Cubilux DAC/ADC and love it. This is the upgrade that lets you power headphones up to 100 Ohms!I have no idea who created this brand but it sounds EXPENSIVE! It is a great tool and I’m glad I’ve got both. In honesty I have gone back to using the other one for one reason..THE 384KHz 24 Bit DAC is REALLY LOUD!!! Lol! It is so loud its crazy, but will be perfect in a studio out maybe a loud outdoor environment. I think having both makes sense, especially at this price.Personally I would be selling these for $50 minimum and you could easily sell the 384KHz model for $80 and it would shift units. These are really really good.I work in music production and bought them after learning my mixes were really poor after using the M1 MacBook Pro 3.5mm outpuut. I have recently changed to a Surface Pro 5 and the 3.5mm output was even worse. These interfaces are the solution. If you make music or like hearing audio at high quality, this is the cheapest and best USB device I can recommend.Do not waste your money on Focusrite or even Berringer. You don’t need it. You need this ;)linktr.ee/Nicholas_Lawrence
