Needed Replacement for Router
Found a steal on a use TP-Link router missing the power supply, ordered this and it booted up and worked perfectly. The overall build isn’t anything special but it’s solid and the indicator light is useful to quickly tell if the powerstrip it’s plugged in to is on.

FIRE HAZARD
I bought this as a replacement power cable for a cable modem and wireless router combo, all of the specs on the modem are the same as the cord rating. I plugged it in and my modem immediately shorted and started smoking, the entire house smells and now I have to replace a $350 router over a $9 cable!!!!!

Update: This company / seller reached out to me to offer me a refund for the faulty power supply. I was not expecting to hear anything about my issues, but they reached out and made it right. I am very grateful for this! I updated my stars based on their service. I left one star off because of the very short cable which makes choosing this power supply for you application a little harder.I have not used all of them that I bought, but the very first one I tried initially showed 12v so I cut the plug off and soldered it up to my LED strip. After plugging it in, the lights flickered and would not come on again. Jiggling the plug made them come on and off, so there was something not right. I pulled the plug apart and ensured the connection was good with the plug on the back and then plugged it in again. Everything was fine for a day, then the LEDs just started blinking. I checked the voltage and it was only sending out around 8v. I swapped the plug for another that I bought and so far this one is working well.I don’t believe that I can get my money back for the faulty one since I cut the cable for my project which is unfortunate. I won’t buy these again and will look elsewhere. The cable is also very short which makes it hard to use for any project. I regret buying so many before testing them.

Don’t buy this thing, it’s very cheap and easily damaged. I used it for about half a year, and the machine started to restart frequently. Start restarting once a day or so, and start restarting almost every 20 minutes on the third day. You can feel it is very hot when you touch it with your hands. After unplugging it to cool down and then plugging it back in, it can last for about a day again and is still very hot. If you’re willing to shut it down once a day and wait for it to cool down, buy it, otherwise just get another one.
