Pretty Decent for the price. Beat my expectation.
This power supply’s accuracy on voltage is spot on, the current is with in spec, the controls are easy to use, and the body doesn’t seem that cheap. The capacitors are Chengx. They aren’t bad but they are pretty decent. The precision capacitors are precision caps. The pcb seems high quality. The LCD display is what you would expect. But over all I think this is a pretty decent power supply and will be good for beginners. The transformer inside its quite beefy for the rated output, so that’s a plus. The internal out put cables are pretty thick, they should hold up to the full 30v 10a. I used the lighter technique to see the wire composition, and they are indeed copper, not copper coated aluminum. The shunts seem to be calibrated shunts, one massive DC choke. I like the whole layout of the PCB. Seems like good engineering to me. Seems good to me. Id say 4.5 stars. The main downside id say is the capacitors. Again, the capacitor brand isn’t the bad, but it isn’t the best such as a nichicon or rubycon. Nice galvanic isolation by the way. The test leads seem to be high quality, lots of copper in them, and again, they are copper and not copper coated aluminum. Only 0.1 ohms from the ground lug on the plug and the ground binding clip. So again, I think… This is a well built power supply and i think it is a good one for pros and newbies. The customer service is very helpful and quick. Mine broke down after a few months due to me attaching it to a load it wasn’t meant to handle, but they sent me a new free one without hassle. It came within 2 days. Highly satisfied. Good job guys!

price and quality
fast shipping and works great for my ham radios and to test radio and power supply while I programI would recommend this supply for testing and programing. If you’re looking for a basic, affordable variable DC power supply for your home lab / workshop, this will fit the bill. At $50, it’s affordable and comparable to other power supplies on the market.Cosmetically, this power supply ditches the old school case design and opts for a more modern, minimalist look. A big bright display makes the numbers easy to read. I’d prefer the V and A labels on the nobs to be in a more easily visible position, but that is minor. In the photos you can see the labels are difficult to read from a normal eye level. The binding posts are clearly color coded.I connected my multi meter and tested the power supply at 12V and 5V. The results were stable and accurate enough for my needs. The power supply had no problem powering up a 12V LED light bar as well. The included USB outlet on the front is helpful as it’s become almost as ubiquitous as the 12V vehicle

Works Like A Champ
This charger has been running non-stop without any issues for over 4 days while I top balance my new LiFePO4 cells. This charger/power supply is a beast. It’s only slightly warm and the fan hasn’t even kicked on yet. Granted, I’m charging with low wattage, but I’m impressed by its ability to stay cool. There are two features that really swayed me to this particular power supply. The first is the coarse and fine adjustments. This feature seems to only be found on the pricier power supplies. The second feature I really liked was that it showed watts. While this isn’t exactly critical to know, it’s definitely useful to see it on a screen without having to break out a calculator. This unit also came with the standard wires with alligator clips. No complaints there. They appear to be good quality and work as they’re intended. When you consider the price of this unit and the features it has, it’s a bargain. It’s also pretty accurate. Only .003 volts difference between what’s on the screen and what I measured with my multimeter.Oh….. to top it off, Kung Kungber gives you a lifetime warranty. So yeah, zero complaints, accurate, great features and a warranty. I highly recommend this power supply.

Best for hobbyists who change voltage infrequently
Summary:This power supply seems to be aimed at hobbyists. It seeks to provide basic functionality (donât expect bells and whistles) at a lower price than many power supplies. For the most part, it succeeds. The controls need some improvement to make this unit more user friendly. As is, it is a reasonable option if you are willing to be patient with the controls in exchange for getting a lower cost power supply. If they fixed the issues with the controls, this would be an absolutely perfect entry-level power supply.Recommendation:If you are a hobbyist who needs an affordable variable power supply and you mainly work with a couple of voltages, this power supply could work well for you. If you have to change voltages a lot, this may not be the right power supply for you.The good:- Stylish, not just another beige box for bench- Affordable and buy only the voltage and amp rating you need- Compact and lightweight- Voltage and amp controls front and center- Separate coarse and fine adjustments (should make adjustments easy but not so much in practice, see the bad)The bad:- When adjusting the voltage down, there is a very serious delay in the control input and the reading output which makes adjustments difficult- The fine adjustment knob has hard stops on the minimum and maximum which limit its use- No âoutputâ button which disconnects power from the banana plugs while you adjust the voltage- The power switch is in the backComments:I really canât say enough about the styling. My other power supply looks very outdated, in comparison. The power supply gives you accurate voltage and current draw readings. And this is the single most important feature of a power supply.Iâm never a fan of putting power switches in the back of devices. I hate to have to reach around and blindly hunt for a control. While I would prefer the switch to be in the front, given that this is an entry-level device and the switch is easy to find I donât consider this a real issue for this device. This device really could use an âoutputâ button to disconnect power from the banana plugs while power adjustments are made. This is a good practice to prevent accidentally overloading the device you are powering. Without an output button, you have to disconnect the leads from your device while you make changes.I also really like the voltage and amp controls being front and center, ready for immediate use. On my other power supply, changing power settings has you pushing buttons and turning dials so much it makes every simple power adjustment seem like trying to fly a 747. A product that can make voltage changes faster would very welcome. However, the controls need work. When you dial the voltage down, the output voltage is very slow to adjust. In fact, you can turn the voltage down, let go of the controller, and sit back and watch the voltage continue to drop. (The delay does not happen while increasing voltage.) Perhaps a bigger issue, though, is the hard stops on the fine adjustment knobs. You can only turn the knob so far clockwise or counterclockwise before hitting a stop. This means the fine adjustment knobs are only useful over a limited range. You have to make sure to get the course adjustment within this limited range to be able to hit your target value while making the final adjustment with the fine knob.Given the limitations of the controls, I recommend the following procedure for setting your values.- Disconnect the power leads from your device. – Turn the fine adjustment knob all the way to the left (counterclockwise) until it stops.- Use the coarse adjustment knob to turn the voltage down below your target value and wait for the reading to stabilize.- Use the coarse adjustment knob to dial the voltage up to a value slightly lower than your target value.- Turn the fine adjustment knob to the right (clockwise) to get to your final target value.- Reconnect the power leads to your device.

Het gebruik is wat onwennig in het omschakelen van constante stroom naar constante spanning.Verder was het apparaat binnen een jaar kapot zonder dat het veel was gebruikt. Het display blijft werken maar de uitvoer doet het niet meer.
