Great specs for the price.Windows 11 = â ︅ It took about 3 hours and 22GB of updates before I could use it. I swapped the system for Fedora 40 KDE, and it runs great.Realtek wifi card was a nightmare for driver compatibility. After a few days I just swapped it for an intel card.Expandable memory is nice! Added another 8GB.

Warning: it does NOT have a BACKLIGHT
The first thing I did was do a search on this product page fora backlight and up popped a review saying it had a backlight. I always buy Dells so I hit the buy button. When it arrived I tried to turn on the backlight but nothing worked yet I still believed what the review had said. So I tried for HOURS to get it to work. Impossible, of course. In the process I also discovered that the computer was extremely slow and updating it bogged down, took hours and then didn’t fully update. I searched for info on how to turn on the backlight back when I still believed there was one and ended up on a site that locked my computer and insisted I not try to turn it off because that could result in identity theft and they gave a phone number to call. Oh sure. I’d never call. It was all a scam and I don’t know why my Malwarebytes didn’t block that site. Anyway, that did it. I packaged it up and sent it back to Amazon despite my personal info on the computer that I couldn’t remove because of the scam site locking the computer. Horrible experience. Went to a local store, bought another model Dell, one with a backlight,, and it’s working great. I hope Amazon refunds me for the one that became a brick.

Reasonably priced work laptop.
I use this for my remote office. It runs my Windows and non Windows apps. Iâve not imported any games as yet so I donât know how well it will stand up to those demands.

The Dell laptop is a solid piece of equipment and operates well.The Dell assistance that was supposed to be available to transfer from old laptop to this one never happened. The transfere took a lot longer as a result.

I bought this laptop for my son in July and it has been perfect for about 1.5 months. Then towards the end of September, it started to blue screen. I am a professional so I know how to computers work. After uninstalling a lot of the software and still unable to fix Windows, I installed Ubuntu Linux. Even Linux freezes on a daily basis. This leads me to think there is some hardware issue. I will try to contact Dell support to see what they can do. Very disappointed.
