Great Computer For Cheap
Quick summary: the computer I received was in good shape and is works great. It needed a bit of cleaning though, and it, like all renewed products, is clearly not brand new, but the wear is very minimal. If this would bother you, you probably shouldn’t buy a renewed laptop.Full review:Before we discuss what this computer is, let’s start off by discussing what this computer isn’t: it is not brand new. Don’t expect it to be in pristine condition or super clean. In fact, expect to have to do some cleaning to get it to look new. I’ve bought several “renewed” products and all of them needed some cleaning on arrival. That’s the nature of the game. It doesn’t mean you’re getting a bad computer. Now let’s talk about what this computer is. In most cases, “renewed” products were used at a business for 2 – 3 years. After that point, large enterprises usually “refresh” their hardware. That’s an industry term that basically means they get rid of the old computers and buy new ones. The “old” computers are usually checked over, parted out if they don’t work, or they’re resold if they’re in good shape. Most business computers, even laptops, sit on desk on a dock and never move, which means they’re usually in pretty good shape. That is where these computers come from. This computer should basically arrive brand new condition. Major issues like the one review that had a huge scuff down the inside of the screen are covered by Amazon. The product description explicitly says the computer won’t have any flaws visible from 12″ away. So, if you order this computer and it doesn’t match the description (read: it has a major issue), you should be able to send it back. This computer may have a few small marks or blemishes, but after a year or so of you using a computer, it’s probably going to have a few minor scratches and dings anyway. You’re saving 70%+ off retail by buying a computer that already has a few small hard-to-notice marks. Now, down to the computer itself. The laptop I received was in very good condition. It had a few sticky spots where stickers had been removed, but overall it was in good shape. Windows 10 came with no nonsense software pre-installed: Firefox, LibreOffice and VLC were basically the only non-Windows applications installed. I wiped Windows and re-installed from scratch, but still, this is a major plus for the non-technical folks out there. All the bloatware that typically comes on PC slows them down a lot, and having just Windows and the basics installed by default is a major win. This computer definitely feels high-quality. Though the case is plastic and the laptop is light overall, it feels very dense and sturdy. The thermal management in particular is really spectacular. As I was installing Windows, I was worried that the main fan was broken because I didn’t hear it spin up at all. After I got into the OS, I installed HWMonitor and downloaded a CPU stress test to see if it would kick on if the CPU got hot enough. Sure enough, the fan spun up when it needed to. During regular use though, the fan barely runs, which is great. The computer I received was not as described in terms of specs. It’s still the E7250, but the model I received was the premium model, which comes with the 1080p touch screen and the 256GB SSD. The listing said this was the 128GB SSD, 720p resolution model, which is the one I wanted. As is typically the case with touch screen, the picture quality is not great. Fast motion is blurry, and the glare from the glass is pretty obnoxious. Overall though, the quality of the screen is okay, and having 1080p in a 12.5 inch screen is great. I also won’t complain about double the disk space. Just know that the specs in the listing might not be what you get.I love renewed computers and haven’t bought anything else in several years. They’re a great way to get a really powerful business-class computer for cheap. They’re not for everyone, though. If you want a squeaky-clean brand new computer out of the box with absolutely no issues or flaws, this isn’t for you. I personally think a little hassle is worth it. The computer I received cost $1,776 when it first came out and I got it for just over $200. For that level of savings, I’m willing to clean the computer a bit when it arrives. I’d be willing to replace the battery if it starts going south (new E7250 batteries are only $25 on Ebay, and the old one pops right out if you need to replace it). I’ll buy another charger if the included one dies. But, that’s not for everyone. If you’re not very technically-savvy or want a brand-new computer in perfect condition, this is probably not for you.

Laptop not charging, lethally dangerous.
[Renewed Dell Latitude Laptop] The laptop battery was not charging. It drained down to 1% and the laptop shut down when the charger was removed. When plugged in again, the laptop switched on again. To make matter worse, the charger cable (for connection from the mains to the charger) was in exceptionally bad condition; the cable was exposed and lethally dangerous. It would have shocked me had I touched the bare copper (quite possible). It arrived wounded overly tight but the damage had been significant enough that not all would have happened during the shipment. It had not even been properly cleaned (see picture). In summary, it was an extremely shoddy renewal.Beware this seller.

Great little laptop
Had this for a weeks now and its been a great little laptop. A lot faster than I thought it would be. It does get a little on the hot side but the cooling pad I have keeps it cool. The only issue I had was that there was no preset product key to register Windows so I couldnât personalize it. I emailed the sellers and they got me the key in a couple of days.

buyer beware!
this is a refurb product, so some wear is expected, however mine arrived with a battery that would not charge and a usb port that is all but broken off.the seller took a day or so to respond, so I was able to isolate the issue as a bad battery and ordered a replacement (about $30). laptop works great after that.seller didn’t offer to comp anything, but not going to push the issue as the device sent to me had a larger SDD and twice the memory that was advertised – so that works i guess. I can deal with the one janky USB port as there are still 2 others that work just fine!

Dell Latitude E7250
A great price, and laptop is in prime condition. “Like-New,” is a very accurate description. It was slow in transit, but I was not disappointed once it was unboxed. Generally speaking, the renewed [like-new] DELL Latitude laptops are great purchases.

Filthy. Still crumbs on keyboard, some pink stuff in the vents. Gross
Filthy disgusting. Crumbs and fingerprints on keyboard. All seams everywhere are packed full of dirt and grime. Cover is covered in greasy handprints. This is filthy. Nasty. And repulsive. I am not one to complain but this is horrid. I felt the need to wash my hands ans use sanitizer after just unpacking it. Totally gross .And it won’t turn on. Think this completely missed the entire refurb process. It was greasy and so grungy. And it didn’t work at all. Plugged in to charge overnight and wouldn’t even turn on.

The computer I purchased
The computer came with a crack in front of the mouse area itâs small, didnât really effect the quality, works good with my job but freezes on the home page when I look up my jobs website, so I do it through a program, the battery life is quite short similar to the computer I bought at a pon shop so I keep it on the charger. Iâm other than that it works perfectly fine, semi stable connection to my internet I do not have to disconnect and connect nearly as much as I used to on my old laptop.

the fan is defect. that is a problem for a laptop. this specific model is a nightmare to change the fan part. it will take me weeks. despite the low price it is not worth the trouble. readers; you are better off not being stingy and buy a new laptop instead. waste of money, waste of time. i hate it.edit. dismantled and re-assembled 3 time. tried 3 brand new fans. the motherboard is defect. 200+$ for a piece of scalped crap that’s not worth half of that. i should definitely take your contact information and drag you to smal claim courth in a civil lawsuit. if you can’t notice a defect unit maybe don’t sell anything at all. just a hint. ended up trowing your trash on the highways at someone that was honking at me. the only possible worth i could get from your item was as a projectile.
