Refurbished little unit is smooth sailing
Disclaimer up front: I have not pushed this recent purchase to the edge of its capability, and don’t intend to. I have a desktop that does everything I can dream up, and a dense, metal, well-loved XPS 15 that’s fit to do a lot of heavy-lifting associated with software I use for work.This laptop is a naughty, indulgent purchase I got specifically for light work and writing tasks that I can use to travel with or bring to bed without feeling too guilty if I accidentally roll over on it. When I started shopping around, was in the market for a $60, 5-year old chromebook. I tried one, in fact, but it came in worse condition than advertised, in a different color, and what seemed like a different model. Not what I’d wanted, so I gave it to a friend who’d just broken their only laptop and needed a hold-over.After weighing my options, I got this refurbished for $160 in excellent condition, and while I haven’t had a long time, it’s exceeding expectations so far this week.I would have been happy if it ran only okay for streaming; this is more computer than the minimum I needed, and so far, on the cost-compared-to-expected-performance curve, this computer is putting my XPS to shame. Granted, this computer was under $200; I paid nearly half the cost of this laptop as I did to get the XPS in white, and it’s undeniably a better-built computer. But for that cost, my fancy XPS arrived needing repairs, and despite being an over-performer for my needs overall, it has some quirks that always made me nervous I wouldn’t get my time’s worth out of the thing (I since have). The XPS has bad speakers for what it should be, is way too bright for my taste on the lowest setting, and generally seemed to suffer from QC issues (my unit did).Comparatively (and for under $200), this refurb computer I bought for cheating on my sleep hygiene habits and doing some late-night writing or emails is knocking it out and doing great for a price I could accidentally brick without batting an eye over. If you’re looking for a functional, basic laptop, it’s worth pulling the trigger.

Great Computer
This is a great computer. The outside shows very, very light wear, but you have to look very hard and very closely to see it. The inside really looks brand new. It’s like the computer was only ever used on the dock. Very quick, great specs. Overall, a great value.A few notes about my model that might be useful to other users. First, the model I received doesn’t have a TPM 2.0 module. So if you’re looking for 100% supported Windows 11 use, this may not be for you. Having said that, I did a clean install of Windows 11 with an MSDN image and it works just fine. The i7 and the 16GB of RAM probably help a lot.From what I can tell, these 12.5″ models come with two types of displays, a 720p standard screen, and a 1080p touch screen. The one I received has the 720p screen, and I’m very glad I didn’t get the touchscreen model, even though the resolution is a bit higher. I bought a renewed 7250 a year or two ago and it had the touch screen. The picture quality was pretty bad, and after a few months, the glass started separating from the screen, leaving large blotches and bubbles all over the screen. While I wish this was 1080p, I’d prefer 720p with better picture and no glass to break. Plus, on a 12.5″ computer, 720p isn’t the deal breaker it would be on a 15.6/17″ computer.

Llegó muy rápido, muy bien empaquetada, las condiciones de la lap top eran muy buenas no tiene marcas ni raspones, la pila al 100 dura aprox 6 horas viene con core i7 y 16 Gb de RAM, para escuela o trabajo es muy veloz ideal para un estudiante.Recomemdable

Only 8gb RAM vs 16 (but I expected this from other reviews). Also, supposed to be i7 processor but tags says i5. Also, no new Win 10 code included, no instructions with package, and only boots into black screen with error messages, not into Win 10. I am returning it for full refund…..

Excelente compra. Al día de hoy me encuentro más que satisfecha con la computadora. Es cierto que no tiene 16 gb en RAM – he visto que computadoras con esta memoria cuesta el doble o triple de precio- sino 8; no obstante ello, es muy rápida y la utilizo para trabajar a distancia, elaborando documentos y en reuniones en línea. Descargue el controlador actualizado para utilizar los gestos de touchpad y se mueve de maravilla. El tamaño es perfecto, me permite trasladarla con facilidad a todas partes y la carga de batería dura más de lo que esperaba. Tardó un poco el envío pero valió la pena la espera.
