Mine works just fine
Ordered this PC/notebook for myself to replace an older Surface Pro 2 of similar spec. The new Dell has a better OS, and seems much quicker. It also provides a terrific picture for my new dell UHD monitor, which it linked with instantly via HDMI. It also picked up my other wireless stuff without issue. Plenty of USB access, and good monitor hookup. Everything is working well, so far, and I think I’m going to be very happy with this higher end laptop. There is no heat to speak of, nor is there any fan noise. I will add a bit more RAM at some point as I get busier, probably up to 16 g. At this price and for this much equipment all in one box, I felt I had little to loose, and much to gain. I expect to be happy with this machine for years to come…I’m old, so it may not be all that long.

My unit had defunct keyboard/touchpad hardware
Laptop was in good condition but clearly was experiencing faulty touchpad/keyboard hardware “stuck key/input” issues. I’m an IT professional – laptop passes Dell diagnostics, but all mouse hardware is disabled through 90% of them. I spent an entire 12 hour day eliminating software possibilities, but when the issue also occurs in the system’s BIOS interface, software has nothing to do with it.
Anyone using this laptop for more than 10 minutes would’ve seen the issue of random, unwanted keyboard/trackpad entry which made the unit unusable. I understand buying bulk units for profit turn-around, but even the BIOS revision was 5 versions old on receipt. It’s a great unit, great hardware – but with constant, random keyboard and cursor entry, it’s practically unusable. I tried MS and Dell drivers for ALL hardware, reloaded Windows 10 twice, even tried a Linux LiveCD but the random input problem even occurs in the BIOS interface – clearly hardware, not OS related. This was something that should have been caught and repaired before the unit was cleared for sale. Here’s hoping Maze Tech won’t make me pay for return shipping, etc, etc, etc……

Many Glitches
Overall I like the laptop. However, there are many “glitches” On startup it always gives a message that the boot-up has failed and I should check the cable. Interesting since I am not connected to a cable. Intermittently the pointer (cursotr) simply disappears. I have to shut the machine and sometimes that doesn’t immediately work. It will also occasionaly freeze up. Again. shutting the machine down and restarting it usuall fixes the problem. If I had the chance to do it over again, even at the very reasonable price I paid I would not buy it again, and I will definitely avoid this vendor in the future. I am not confident when the machine will stop working. Even at this low price, I thought I would get about 2 years out of this laptop before neding to replace it. Live and learn

Ooops!
I like everything about this laptop except when I entered the product key it was rejected (3) times. The trouble shooter said I was trying to register a Windows 10 Pro version with a Windows 10 Home key on a Windows Home platform. I don’t want to download a home version. I would like to return the laptop and exchange it for one set up correctly.
