Great features for the price
Pros:Fast (good processor for the price)lots of storage (500gb ssd, 2Tb drive as well)does everything i need it toCons:No built in WiFiNo built in BluetoothOther Notes:I didnt buy this as a gaming PC, i purchased it for music production. It works flawlessly for everything i need it to do. i even can play some games on here with no issue (world of tanks for example). however some games do not play well no here and the stock graphics cant keep up (Call of Duty BO6). which was to be expected. i didnt buy it with the intention of playing games on it. if you wish to throw in graphics card for gaming and it works for you, go for it. but as for the price of this desktop, you cant beat it.

Delivers as advertised!!
I was a bit skeptical about buying a renewed/refurbished PC, but the PC arrived very well packaged in great working order and only minor cosmetic blemishes on the case – at first, I really needed to search for blemishes – nothing out of the ordinary for a used tower, and hardly noticeable. The cabling, etc. on the inside is well-placed and orderly. The front panel is apparently new, since there’s a protective sticker on the “Dell” logo? I’d definitely buy from VR Laptops again – well done!

My new gaming setup
Bought this with one intention: slap an RTX card in it and play games – and that’s exactly what I did. I had a 3060 8GB that I had bought for another project that didn’t work out, and needed an appropriate computer to put it in. Unfortunately, when you buy computers you usually find powerhouse gaming setups with graphics cards already in them, or dinky little “Mom’s office” type computers that can open Microsoft Word, and not much else. This was different: A powerful processor but no GPU, exactly what I wanted. I did have to buy a better (600W) power supply, a 24-pin-to-dell-8-pin adapter, a Wi-Fi dongle, and a Bluetooth dongle (again, I already had the 3060), but now I have a PC that plays everything I want at ultra graphics. I can play VR on it at an actually smooth framerate unlike my old PC.

Does everything as advertised
Functioned as expected, clean and still working after a 24hr burn-in. Came with all but a monitor so you can get this up and running quickly; assuming you prepared with all pertinent information (log-ins and user names) prior to setting this up.I would offer one cravat to this transaction. This item wass properly packaged with more than sufficient packing peanuts and airosheet packing. it was recieved via UPS witth the box undamaged and with no punctures. Upon opening, there was evidence that the unit had (at some point during refurbishing) that it had impacted against the expansion slot release cover and had bent the case inward.Customer service was prompt in it’s response to my query; offering a return and a subsequent replacement – but there was a time element.Double travel time with a pending UPS strike.I elected to keep the unit and IF I decide to add a video card; I’ll fix it myself.My point of all this: Open the package immediately and inspect the contents carefully. Hidden damage is always a consideration

A 3- or so
Case was fairly scuffed up. Worked out of the box, but the hard drive was constantly doing a seek, and rattled like a box full of marbles. Noticed the SSD got stuck momentarily a couple of times. Ran a gsmart control session (Mint Linux). Hard drive had in excess of 200,000,000 seek failures, 40K hours and a write total of 400 TB!The SSD had 38K hours, seek and read failures in 200M range and a total of 600TB of write activity. Both drive are near death. Luckily I have spares laying about, and replaced both drives. The rest of it seems ok, but only 2 days into it. Update, video output failed, might be the onboard graphics in the processor, or the out put from the board itself, installed old Nvidia GT220 I had laying around, and fixed that problem. Not sure I would go used route again. Built all my computers over the past thirty years, this was the first purchased box.

Excellent condition, packaging was secure. I might suggest putting a warning that Microsoft support ends in June 2025, and the processor in this unit will not work with Windows 11.

A nice little i7 desktop PC
My older i5 was very old (made it back in the 90s), so I treated myself to this upgrade.Zero issues with it being a refurbished PC, I just dropped in the hard drive from my old machine, did a couple of minor tweaks, and was up and running by that evening.So much nicer having a faster system.

This is a good computer.
The computer arrived in good condition. I prefer Windows 10 over Windows 11 because it can run a few of my favorite programs that Windows 11 can’t. The computer is configured with Windows 10 Pro. This computer is a beast. With the 500GB SSD, 32GB of ram, and an i7, it runs all my programs without slowing down. Under heavy load, the chip temperature never went over 50C. The product description was not complete, but that was a positive surprise. The HDD is larger capacity then described. It was 3.5GB vs the 2GB. This means I can store even more documents, music, movies, and pictures. And it came with a keyboard and mouse. When you compare price with the components, this computer is a great deal.

I needed a computer quick and I stumbled unto this Amazon partner – Advanced Skytech CA – purchased a decent price reconditioned computer, and I don’t regret it. They are real professional!
