had my grandson set this up for my husband and is much much faster than his older version which was no longer going to be supported by microsoft due to age. could not add old cards to increase memory but it serves our purposes very well

Good but exactly what was expected
First of all, the computer works fine and is at a bargain price. You should be aware that, at least as far as my machine was concerned, the appearance was difference and unlike the pictured computer there was no DVD or CD device. If course, that could be a blank space filler in the picture. Also, the video outputs were display ports, not HDMI.Both problems were addressed by purchasing a $20.00 external DVD drive and a Display Port-HDMI driver. For the money, I am happy enough to buy one again knowing the shortfalls.

Just freezes when you turn it on gave me a blue screen one time but usually freezes up at the dell logo checked to make sure everything was plugged in and it all looks good returning and going somewhere else cuz I donât want to wait another 2 weeks to get my server back online it just stays frozen like it is in the video forever

Refurb Company Tried Hard
The devil is in the details. I ordered the desktop computer believing it should be plug and play. “Catalog” description said it had two display ports. Not knowing there is such a thing as a display port separate from HDMI, I thought HDMI was coming with two places to plug in. Wrong. Well, the computer looked great and was well packed, but I couldn’t get the supplied cable to work, and I think it was HDMI. I shipped the entire kit back within a day and ordered a different one. Then the company customer service tried valiantly and politely to remedy the problem. It was too late. I know more than I did–a tough experience lesson. IMHO the Amazon description fell short by not making certain to steer a non-techie away from a different set of ports. I do think the customer service people were great and did their best to fix the situation.

The computer is excellent. I wouldn’t know it’s not new by the way it looks and runs. I couldn’t afford the specs if buying brand new. Of course, the true test of a refurbished PC is how long it lasts. I have no reason to expect any problems down the road (fingers crossed). Also, I had to contact Tecnocanada about a missing adapter. They responded immediately and resolved the issue (ends up I had it after all – it was in the keyboard box). Great service.
