DOOGEE V30 Rugged Smartphone
was looking for a nice unlock cellphone within my budget and after browsing around found the DOOGEE V30 Rugged Smartphone and I am beyond impressed with its features. The eSIM Dual 5G capability ensures that I always have a fast and reliable connection, no matter where I am. The 15GB RAM and 256GB storage provide ample space for all my apps, photos, and videos, allowing me to multitask and store memories without running out of space. The 6.6″ FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing vibrant and smooth visuals whether I’m watching videos, playing games, or browsing the web. The Dual Hi-Res Speakers deliver clear and immersive sound. One of the standout features of this phone is the 108MP Triple Camera setup. The quality of the photos I capture is outstanding, and the Night Vision mode ensures that I can take impressive low-light shots with ease. The camera app offers a variety of modes and settings, allowing me to get creative with my photography.Running on Android 12, the phone provides a modern and user-friendly interface with access to the latest features and updates. The rugged design of the phone is just amazing. It feels sturdy in hand and the build quality is impressive.Overall, the DOOGEE V30 Rugged Smartphone has exceeded my expectations and offers a fantastic combination of performance, durability, and innovative features. I highly recommend it is a reliable and feature-packed rugged smartphone.

Phone makes factory resets on its own when charging.
This has happened 6 times so far. I have stopped using it. it is unreliable. Also as previously mentioned in a review only one of the Camera lights works. Every other time I charge it it carries out a factory reset and I have to reload everything back and set back up the apps, not counting the data lost.. I have reported it to their Customer Service three times, but no useful suggestions. They want me to send them a video after it has happened, how the hell am I supposed to do that when the phone says hello lets get started. It is obviously a software issue and I don’t think they have an answer.

Looks like a great phone…..
Loved the phone….until it was stolen the next day! Didn’t even have a carrier yet. Bummer.

Great battery
The battery is great I only have to charge it after getting nearly 3 days of use.

Less than perfect, but tolerable for the price
I liked the fact that it is a dual SiM device, where both SIMs support 5G. One of the slots is supposed to support eSIM, but as it turns out, TMobile doesn’t recognize the eSIM. Also the fingerprint reader is extremely flaky, perhaps only 20% attempts being successful, and only supports a single finger’s print.Update: I decided to return the phone, for several reasons, viz. 1) too heavy and awkward to carry in the pocket, 2) could not connect to the 5G service in India, 3) frustratingly bad fingerprint recognition, 4) didn’t support expandable memory

Great phone but some shortcomings
This is a great phone and it has all the features you could want except a Thermal camera which would have really pout it over the top. The V20 Pro has a thermal camer but the V30 has just an IR Night Vision lens. It works very well though, in complete darkness.FOR USA CUSTOMERS:The ESIM isn’t likely to be available to use for domestic use by major carriers. It will not work with T-Mobile or AT&T and the phone will not work at all with Google Fi service no matter a physical SIM or an ESIM. The E-Sim store that is loaded onto the V30 only works for Europe and many Asian countries which can be a benefit if you travel overseas but within the USA, the benefit of the E-Sim isn’t available. While you can use two physical SIMs the idea behind using one Sim slot for additional storage memory, one for a physical sim and then an additional number with an e-sim isn’t going to happen for you.To get around that problem, and it could be a show stopper if you reall need it, is to use Google Voice to get a VOIP number and then forward a Google Fi number to that and then use the V30 to use both numbers and still have one SIM for storage memory. That said, since any phone can also do that, the e-sim feature doesn’t hold much value unless you travel outside the USA often. The camera is good but not as good as say, many phones years older. Anything with neutral colors has a green tinge to it and while you can adjust that after the picture is taken, phones like the Pixel 3 which is about 5 years old take much better pictures. The V30 is a heavy phone but then so much extra battery life comes with a weight penalty. You’ll need larger pockets to hold it, its about 2.5 times thicker than most phones, matches the about 2.5 times greater battery capacity. The added weight means if you don’t use Bluetooth, holding it to you ear might test your endurance. Its not that it is so heavy as its just heavier than you might expect. The same applies to holding it while texting. The solution is BT earbuds or headsets.Battery life is very good and you’ll stop checking it at the end of the day knowing it will typically run 3 days easily with normal use.The display is very good, easy to read and comes with a protector insalled and one extra in the box. The screen protector does reflect glare outside so keep that in mind.If you need a phone that is rugged, travel often outside the USA and need international esim capability, have use for an IR nightvision camera and most important, need long battery life then the V30 will fit your style nicely. If you need ESIM capability within the USA, or use Google Fi service, you might want to look elsewhere.I did verify with Google Fi that the V30 is not compatible and an IEMI check with both T-Moble and AT&T showed the phone as not having a valid number. An AT&T reseller service did work work well after manually setting the APN information. Do not rely on remote configuration and instead use AT&T APN info. After that, MMS and text should work just fine. The V30 is a high quality phone, well worth the cost especially if you get it at a discount which brings it down to the mid 300 dollar level. For that you get a lot of phone with very good features. The Android version is 12 and there is virtually zero bloatware.

Have had the phone now for about 5 months, the phone is glitchy AF. Will randomly turn off and on, opens and closes apps randomly, brightness goes up and down constantly, volume goes up and down constantly, drop calls randomly. It is currently in a powers on for 3 seconds then restarts cycle for about 15 minutes with no way to stop it. Also the camera is garbage, I didn’t really care at first but when you can’t take detailed pictures you need for work and need to carry a second ‘dead’ phone with you just to take a picture it gets a bit annoying. Also not really a great ‘rugged’ phone, the power on/off button is too exposed so if its in your pocket and you bend over it will most likely turn off (separate instanced from the random on/off). Definitely not worth over $500, maybe half that I would say it might be ok.
