Great Tablet at very good price!
Update on 3-1-20:Woo-hoo!!! I just put in a 512G micro SD card in the Max 10 and it worked!! Now I have my tablet with 1/2T of SD card storage. Love it!!Update on 2-28-20: I still love this tablet! Everything I do on it is so crisp, fast, and beautifully rendered on the big screen. It doesn’t seem to be available right now on Amazon and that is sad because I would like to buy another one. I hope it comes back! Oh – I have found out that it supports up to a 256G micro SD card even though the documentation says only 128G. I have a 256 in mine and it works great! This tablet does everything that I hoped it would. I wanted a big screen with snappy performance and it delivers that for a very reasonable price! I have a newer Intel I-7 PC with 16G of RAM that I use as my desktop machine and I love it because of it’s crisp performance. The Dragontouch 10Max feels much the same to me. I’ve tested it for graphics use, editing, surfing the web, and wireless network connectivity. It’s awesome. I was also pleasantly surprised that the stereo sound from the speakers when turned up to higher volume levels was so good. That fact is allowing me to leave behind a heavy bluetooth speaker with which I normally travel. I’m travelling to Europe this summer and needed a really decent tablet to replace a larger, heavy, expensive (don’t want it stolen) laptop PC for all my connectivity and picture organizing needs. “Max” (I have already named him!) will do that for me perfectly! Thanks, Dragontouch, for an excellent product!

Very good at a good price
My wife decided she needed an upgrade from her 8” tablet to a 10” with more memory. Since Asus (our current 8” & 10” tablets) don’t seem to be upgrading their line-ups with current products shipping with Android 6 or 7 – and my current tab bought last year only upgraded to 7 on start-up and nothing since – we started searching. We spotted quite a few of the no-name chinese tablets and the Dragon Touch tablets kept coming up as well. The chinesium didn’t look too bad and usually had 4+ stars with maybe a few hundred ratings but the Dragons have 2k+ ratings. As I usually feel more (ratings) is better I went with the Dragon TouchCons -Google search bar stuck on Home screen. The Google Assistant seems to be pretty well baked into the OS and I can’t seem to get the search bar off the Home screen. It maybe isn’t a big deal just kind of annoying that it takes the entire top row of the Home screen so I’m calling that a waste of screen space.Camera app sucks. I couldn’t even find a settings menu in the app to make a few basic adjustments such as turning off (or at least minimizing) the shutter sound and changing the resolution. Yes, it has a few basic editing functions like cropping, color adjustments and a self-timer. But EVERY other device I’ve ever used has the abilty to have a silent shutter and adjust the resolution. This device won’t be used as a camera very often and there are alot of other camera apps in the Play store so it’s likely only a minor annoyance. No split screen function. Our other current tablets (Asus) allow some apps to function in a split screen so that I can have two apps running at once. Maybe that’s just an Asus embellishment I can’t say as the only tablets I have alot of experience with are the Asus. It’s another small thing but it is a function I use quite a bit.Pros -Price. At a bit over $100 it’s pretty hard to beat for a 10” device. Anything else in this price range is either a smaller screen or less memory/storage.No bloatware. At least that I can see. Most other devices have an app list as long as my arm with the manufacturer’s name in front. Do I really need another app to control the theme of the home screen or to “manage” something that can already be managed in the Settings app? I don’t think so, so not having 10 apps load at start-up in the background should be a plus all around.Flashlight. There is actually an LED next to the camera that acts as either a camera flash or a flashlight. I don’t recall seeing this on any other tablet, either that I’ve owned/used or that I’ve seen other people use.I shouldn’t forget to mention the price. After the first week the wife is pretty happy with this and you can’t beat that.

Really good for the money, with a few issues.
I haven’t really owned a decent tablet in like a decade, and I can’t justify the cost of the flagship models out there, so I decided to take my chances on this $100 tablet with stellar reviews. What’s the worst that could happen?Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase. Every app I’ve installed has worked flawlessly. It’s not the quickest thing in the world, as expected, but the speed and responsiveness is sufficient. All the hardware feels solid, and it provides a nice, clean Android experience.2 big CONs for me:1. I haven’t been able to get a microSD card to mount successfully. I’ve tried a couple, and it seems to forget the card every time I reboot and then sometimes can’t successfully remount it. This isn’t the end of the world, as 32 GB will probably be plenty, since I’m not trying to store tons of data on it or play big games or anything. As long I can stream things and do social media stuff and web browsing, it probably won’t be a problem. Still not great.2. The sound that I get on the headphone jack SUCKS. It sounds like there may be a problem with the headphone jack itself. I contacted Dragontouch about it, and they gave me the basic advice to look into the audio settings, equalizer, bla bla bla. It’s none of that. I can connect my bluetooth headphones to it and it sounds great. The speakers on the tablet sound fine as well. But I do like to listen to music on a good set of headphones that connect physically, and it just sounds awful. Like it’s being compressed in an empty soda can. No bass, no mid, all tinny and quiet. I’ve tried with every set of headphones in my house and it’s all the same. Maybe I got a dud, but I just don’t have the energy and patience to go through the process of returning it and waiting for them to either repair it or send me a new one. For $100, I’m happy with what I’ve got.
