Plenty of things for a child to do.
I bought the DragonTouch tablet this summer during the COVID pandemic. For the price, this is an excellent product that will free up a screen (television, computer) if this is an issue for you, as it was for us. I am an Android phone user, and consider it a plus that this tablet is as well, as everything on it is quite intuitive.There are games, a painting program, and videos pre-programmed into the device my kids like to play with. My kids are too young presently, but there are also Disney/Pixar eBooks available, so they will have something new to do on the tablet when they get a bit older. If you have existing digital content, you can either transfer it over with a micro SD card, or actually have it remain on the card. The hard drive is big enough that I just use a micro SD to transfer data, but if it gets too full, its a bonus that you can expand the tablet’s capacity (Hey Apple, how about letting me do that on my iPad, which I spent 8x more on??). The rubber exterior has kept the product/screen safe despite two children’s best effort to break it.The tablet is less expensive than many, but has the content to keep a kid happy right away, without you having to pay for purchased digital content (though you can). We had another child this fall, so I will probably need to buy another DragonTouch in a year. It works well, so I don’t think I’ll bother shopping around. My only critique, and it is a small one, is that this takes a bit longer to turn on than my tablet. Nonetheless, you are up and running in less than a minute, which is better than my computer.

Great starter tablet, we are very happy with it, and would definitely recommend it to others!
We bought this for our 3 yr old, and he/we love it! It is perfect for ages 3-5, maybe slightly older, if it’s their first one. I almost didn’t choose this one, based on some people’s reviews, but being a tech savvy family, that has owned many tablets, I felt the issues I read about were mostly fixable, or not a concern of mine. I was right. First and foremost…no, it is not an Ipad, or top notch Galaxy tablet, but if you want one of those, you need to pay that price. It is however, very good for this particular price tag. This tablet was capable of holding a few movies, 20 Spiderman episodes, and 13 Super Hero Squad episodes, plus some games/apps, for a long family road trip we took, and it played them flawlessly! We deleted them when we got back, to free up the space again, because he can just stream them over the wifi. The slowest part of this tablet is the startup, it takes a bit, but after that the speed is fine for that age group, there is no lag. One thing you have to keep in mind is that when you fill up the storage, that slows operation down, just like with any other tablet or phone, but we have not experienced this yet. I went through the apps in the beginning and deleted or disabled apps he wouldn’t use, I also installed an SD card. You should go through your child’s tablet every once in a while, and uninstall anything you notice they don’t use/play, this will help keep the system running at optimum level. I only have 2 recommendations for improvement…1) The volume could be better. This may not be an issue for a 1 or 2 child family, but we have 4, so the background noise level can be high at times, and that makes it hard to hear some things on the tablet. This is also a plus though, because it keeps the child from using the volume at an unsafe level, even with headphones on. 2) We found the Kiddoz app to be useless. It’s a great idea, but not well executed. There were engaging activities and videos on it, but most were not available away from wifi. Your own offline apps will work in it, but we found that the app caused lag, and occasionally froze the tablet. We just decided not to use it, and we haven’t had any problems since. My son uses the apps/videos I installed, and everything works great. The battery life is fine, but again that will depend on your apps, if you have several of them running in the background, it will drain the battery faster. To put it into perspective though…my child watched videos and played games nearly the entire road trip (almost 4 hours), and it never died. I disabled all notifications from all apps when I set it up, I make sure to close apps, and put the tablet to sleep when I notice he has put it down, that helps to conserve power, then I plug it in every night before bed. I should also state that he has thrown this thing many times, and it has withstood the abuse…of course you want to avoid that as much as possible, but at age 3, there’s not much you can do when they unexpectedly decide to toss it! We are on a strict budget, there is no way I would spend a pretty penny on an expensive device for my toddler, especially knowing he could smash it at any given moment, LOL! Anyhow…we love it, and would definitely purchase it again, if anything should happen to this one…it’s a wonderful product, and at a good price!

Good for the Price
I just received mine and everything seems fine so far (I’ll update my review in a few weeks or so after we’ve had a chance to utilize it for it’s intended purpose). We ordered these for our 4 and 2 year old to utilize on an upcoming road trip. The pre-installed content is great and with Google family link, I like that I can age appropriately child-proof the content.We don’t have internet service where we live so I’ve had to do everything through mobile hotspot; which seems to work well enough so far (true test to come).I will say that the camera quality is not great and the battery life is unfortunately as short as other reviews have stated. I think I got maybe an hour to an hour and a half before it needed to chargeð¤·ââï¸.All in all, so far it’s really nice. I’ve been able to download all the kids apps and video apps we use no problem.

Good purchase
I bought two of these for my grandbabies to use for upcoming vacation travel, as well as memory cards. Set up was relatively easy and everything seemed to run rather well, even after adding additional apps. However, when I downloaded content like kids shows, it was a different story. VERY SLOW!!! Slow to turn on and get load, slow to move in any way. Once it is airing a show, it seems to work – I would recommend turning on and getting it ready at least 20 minutes prior to walking out the door.

Great Device for Kids
Ordered two of these tablets for my twin granddaughters, they can be a bit rough when they get hold of my phone, but with these they are gentle. They love the learning apps that came preloaded as well as those I have added. They are a perfect size for there little hands, and the weight is just right. Not to heavy or light. The case they came in is durable and keeps the device from cracking. They have been dropped several times without any problem. We also take them with us when we dine out, they are the perfect size for a bit of entertainment while the adults at the table visit. Great gift!
