    Great little basic cell phone!!! But I had some issues now!!!.
    Love this little phone fits in the palm of my hand and is light not heavy like my smart phone was. So much easier to use then my smart phone!!! I don’t have to have WiFi to set it up, can hold over 500 names. Just and FYI you can only add names and phone numbers no address etc. The names can only be around 20 letters, no dashes in the phone number. Texting is much easier for me to see and do. The battery last a long time!!! I have a landline and only use this phone for long distance phone calls and emergency calls.Note: If you need a case I use my case that my smart phone was using as I don’t like to carry a purse plus this gives me easy access to my phone. I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile using their prepaid cell plan of $10 a month.This was my last hope on getting a basic cell phone. I didn’t need a smart phone don’t use any apps etc. This phone is all I need!!! Hope it keeps working.If you have questions you can email customer service directly at easyfone_support@yeah.net, it takes a day for them to reply back to you.*****UPDATE: 8/27/22 Having problems with the phone now when I call long distance phone won’t work have to shut it off then restart it. Also, I can’t hear the phone ringing. Have emailed customer service on this issues and the test came back that there is no problem with the phone but there is. The phone even shut itself off one time too. It is a same I loved the phone but wasted money on this one. Can’t find another simple basic phone from Verizon or T mobile now. Just bought this 6/2/22, and less the 45 days the phone doesn’t work right even after I got another sim card!!!!!

    Easiest flip ( non smart) phone to operate; didn’t work well on Mint but fine on T-Mobile prepaid
    5/30/22: edited for typosA bit of background….verbose but ultimately helpful:The discontinuation of 3G resulted in my parents’ mobile provider (AT&T postpaid ) sending them “free” Alcatel 4G VoLTE capable phones. Easy directions to activate were included ….except the phones would not activate. My parents had a grandfathered plan that was $25 a month and their phones were so old that they had mini SD cards, instead of micro or Nano. After hours on the phone with AT&T customer service personnel I went to an AT&T store to see if I could get Nano SD cards for the new phones because obviously the mini SD cards would not fit. They told me that they could not activate the phones and they could not honor their current plans. They wanted to put each of my parents on a $75 per month unlimited data plan and they would have to get new nano SD cards for the new flip phones. I told them my parents do not use data and that is why they use flip phones and not smartphones. Very long story short, even AT&T prepaid plans were more expensive because they needed a minimum of four lines to be affordable. There are two people involved, my mother and my father. I talked them into leaving AT&T and I returned the free flip phones obtained from AT&T and canceled their service.I have been on Mint mobile with a $15 per month plan for years and it’s fine for me, I have a low-end smartphone and it does everything I need. I bought ultimately several different flip type non smart phones for my parents. A few were incredibly difficult to navigate, a few like this one just did not seem to work adequately on Mint mobile. I will now focus on the Easyfone itself.For anyone wondering I can tell you from using many different flip type non-smartphones this truly is one of the most intuitive to use. A long press on the red telephone button turns it on and also turns it off. A quick press of the red button ends a call. To make a call just dial the number and hit the green telephone button and it displays calling. In my opinion the best part of the phone is that there is no so-called desktop. Most flip phones have every icon on the inside screen. There is much clutter. On the Easyfone you only get an icon when you press the menu button. And you get one icon at a time. It fills the entire screen. In other words it’s a clear large icon with words at the top that tells you what that choice does. For anyone who likes simplicity or who may have eyesight issues, this is very welcome. The keypad has large buttons and there’s a center menu button and around the perimeter there are printed arrows. This was very important to my parents because phones with an unlabeled “ring” around the center button that essentially acts as a four-way arrow was very hard for my parents to operate. They have no trouble with this phone. It’s very comfortable in one’s hand and is light but feels substantial. I had very good response when I emailed customer service when I initially activated the phone on Mint and had a few issues. I also contacted them about getting a second battery, as I liked my parents to carry a charged spare battery with them.Lastly the cradle charger would be nice for someone with dexterity problems. I personally have not used it because I find I knock it over and I have used the regular micro USB charger on the side of the phone. But it is very nice that it has this feature.Ultimately if you’re still reading this I thank you LOL and encourage you to give this phone a try. It solves so many problems. My mom loves it; I ended up getting my dad a more durable rubbery phone because this one slipped out of his hand quite a bit. He has large hands and needed something with more grip so I will review separately the phone he is using now (Plum Ram 4G LTE).

    Could never get it set up with a sims card
    I bought this phone for my grandma because she needed a cellphone with just calling/texting. The phone itself was light, big buttons, and super simple which is exactly what she was looking for. I would consider myself a pretty tech savvy person however I could never get the phone activated with a sims card. The first sims card I got was speedtalk. I paid $11 and tried to activate the sims but after 6 days of back and forth and being told it’s taking a long time because of this or that I told them to just cancel my activation request. Then I bought a simple mobile sims and if you see the photo I added, it said it was not compatible with this device. Finally I went to T-Mobile and said oh well I’ll pay the activation and all the fees they have if they can just get this phone working. None of their sims card they put in the phone worked so I just bought her a new phone in the T-Mobile store and returned this one. I feel like if I couldn’t figure out how to get this thing going, there is no way an elderly person ever could.

    Terrible phone unless you live in a city surrounded by cell tow
    I bought this phone for my 90 year old father who lives in the suburbs. I switched him to Consumer Cellular because Verizon was ripping him off. This phone looked like a good choice for him because it was light weight and was just for taking and receiving calls. The phone was nearly USELESS and I tried EVERYTHING. It dropped calls all of the time and constantly throttled through different bars and service levels. I got it for him in March and by time summer rolled around I ended up buying a cell signal booster for his home to improve the call quality. If you went outside his home nearly no bars. With the signal amplifier in his home he could get 4 bars but it kept dropping calls and searching. The phone was very light weight not even one ounce with the battery in it and I suspect the lack of weight meant very little metal in the phone to serve as an antenna. I threw this phone out it’s not something you want to give to a senior to suffer with. It’s a joke. I bought him a brand new Nokia 2780 flip phone and immediately the phone works perfect and yields crystal clear quality. If you bought this piece of junk for a loved one do yourself a favor a buy them a brand new Nokia 2780 trust me you won’t regret it and the Nokia is cheaper $$$ too !

    Das Handy wurde für eine Dame im Pflegeheim angeschafft worden. Sie würde mit einem Smartphone nicht zurecht kommen, aber mit diesem Gerät funktioniert es einwandfrei. Toll ist es auch, dass das Handy recht einfach in die Ladestation zu stellen ist und keine kleinen Anschlüsse gesucht werden müssen.

    La mise en service n’est pas très intuitive, il faut bien lire le manuel. Par contre une fois que c’est fait, ce téléphone est vraiment bien pensé pour les personnes handicapées, ou âgées, ou ayant juste du mal avec la technologie !• Très solide, ne craint pas les chutes et même qu’on renverse un peu de liquide dessus (c’est du vécu -_-).• Très simple à mettre en charge sur sa base, il suffit de le poser (même pas besoin de clipser une prise dans un trou, pas de risque de casse).• SUPER SIMPLE à utiliser : bouton “téléphone vert” pour tout ce qui a un sens d’acceptation : prendre un appel entrant, valider une action, ouvrir un menu ; bouton “téléphone rouge” pour tout ce qui a un sens de refus : raccrocher, annuler, sortir d’un menu.• Les quatre gros boutons de contacts peuvent accueillir une photo (ou un bout de papier avec le nom du contact), c’est facile à personnaliser et à comprendre, facile d’appuyer dessus vu leur taille (un appui long = appeler ce contact).Ceci dit, pour avoir testé depuis quelques mois ce produit avec une personne âgée très très diminuée cognitivement, ce téléphone est à l’épreuve de presque tout mais pas infaillible… car ça dépend aussi de l’utilisateur. Dans mon cas, l’utilisatrice a toujours des problèmes pour comprendre quand/comment elle appelle des gens, ou quand/comment elle peut décrocher pour prendre un appel entrant ; et surtout elle finit toujours par modifier le numéro de tél des contacts en ajoutant plein de chiffres sans s’en rendre compte ! Je ne sais même pas comment elle fait car pour ça, il faut aller dans les menus (qui ne sont pas vraiment une ligne droite)… Bref. Ce téléphone est top car à l’épreuve de presque tout, mais le problème se situe parfois entre la chaise et l’écran. ^^;;;

    Es sencillísimo de preparar. Las reseñas que advierten del problema de que no se puede insertar el PIN para desproteger la tarjeta SIM es PORQUE NO HAN LEÍDO LAS INSTRUCCIONES.Una vez preparado el sistema permite la marcación de cuatro números desde teclas grandes. Aunque el teléfono en sí es del tamaño de unos naipes, es suficiente para el tipo de usuario al que está destinado, es decir, personas con problemas de visión o cognitivos. No pidamos más, por favor: pulsar y llamar, así de sencillo.

    Ho acquistato questo cel. x persona che ha avuto aneurisma celebrale, dopo aver provato un’altra marca molto reclamizzata ma difficile da usare per questo tipo di disabilità. Il telefono è facilissimo da impostare (ma ovviamente ho provveduto io perché la persona non sarebbe stata in grado di farlo) Possono essere impostati solo 4 numeri , chiamare è semplicissimo, il telefono piccolo e leggero.Non c’è vivavoce ma l’audio è alto e molto buono per una persona anziana. Non ho trovato altri cel. Con questo prezzo ma addirittura con prezzi esorbitanti in internet e non trovato in nessun negozio di telefonia un mod. Così semplice e funzionale. L’unica pecca è che lo sportello posteriore che copre il cell. E batteria sembra poco stabile e non si chiude perfettamente.Per il rapporto qualità/prezzo posso ritenermi molto soddisfatta, non so sinceramente quanto potrà durare perché non sembra molto resistente.
