So Far, Very Good
I’ve read a LOT of reviews, watched a LOT of Youtube videos and had given the purchase of a solar generator (actually, it’s just a big rechargeable battery) a LOT of thought. I won’t go into all the specs and technical junk since a lot of the other reviewers have done all that. I will just try and briefly discuss What I think about it. I spent around $1,700 for it but that included a big 200 watt solar panel. I see now that the whole package has even gone down a couple hundred dollars to around $1.500 but I still think I got a pretty good deal.I’m a 66 year old female and though both the battery and solar panels are heavy, I can still move them to where I want them. It’s summer time here in the Deep South so I laid the solar panel flat on the ground where strong sunlight could shine on it. I had to move the battery fairly close to the panels since the connection cords are only so long, however I set it on a garden stand up off the ground and covered it with a white reflective towel to keep it from getting hot. The color of the battery is dark grey and will absorb a lot of heat if left out uncovered. And for crying out loud, don’t forget about it and leave it out in the rain, or it will be ruined. My battery was at 38% charge when unpacked from the box it was shipped in. After 2 days of being charged by the solar panel (and with adjustments made for the movement of the earth and sun) it got to 76% charge. I like having the option to charge it by use of solar panels (and you can connect 2 of them at the same time but I only used the one it came with), but I hope I don’t have to use them very often, since it’s not a very efficient way to charge it. I charged it the rest of the way to 100% using a household outlet.I chose this particular solar generator (battery) because of the many high reviews, the price, and an output of 2400 watts will power a LOT of things such as refrigerators, freezers, a washing machine, coffee pots, microwave and all the smaller electronics and crap one thinks they’ll need if the power should go off for several days. BUT!!! It won’t power big appliances for more than 2 or 3 days before needing recharging. That’s where the gas generator really comes in handy. It can be used just long enough to recharge the solar battery then shut off to save gas. That’s my plan anyway if it should come to it. I think having both a solar generator and a gas/propane generator is the best way to do it as long as you have enough fuel.I connected my now fully charged solar battery to a mini fridge and it stayed nice and cold for 3 days until I disconnected the fridge and plugged it back into a regular outlet. I learned that if you’re going to store the battery long term, that it needs to be at 50% or slightly less of a charge to keep the battery safe from self-damage. I don’t know the details about why it needs to be at a lower charge, but whatever. The digital readouts are easy to see, it can be connected by an app to your phone, which would be nice in case you needed to see how things were going at the ol’ homestead while you were out foraging for berries and non-poisonous mushrooms. But wait! If there’s been an EMP then nothing will work anywa…………….!I suggest learning how to build a Faraday cage and storing your expensive battery in it when it’s not needed. The solar panels are huge. Good luck figuring out how to keep them from getting melted if the bombs fall or the sun belches out a big one in our direction. But, you can only do what you can do……So far, I really like my big battery. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. If it should fail for some reason I will be here to update this review even before you hear the sonic boom I created getting here. Oh yeah! I forgot to mention shipping. The battery took about a week after ordering to arrive and it was very well packaged. The solar panel was shipped separately and took about another week (two weeks after initial order) to arrive in very good condition. I chose to purchase it through Amazon because I’m very familiar with Amazon and it was several hundred dollars cheaper than if I bought it directly from Ecoflow. And shipping is free with Prime.

Go solar!!
My order arrived in great shape. At first, I was concerned because the panels showed up first and Amazon marked my whole order as delivered. I contacted customer service (which was prompt in addressing my concerns) and was told not to worry. It arrived 2 days later in n great shape. It was not packaged in an Amazon box. It came in the original box which tells you what it is so if you need privacy from nosy neighbors, I would recommend requesting additional packaging.I am VERY pleased with my purchase! After surviving Hurricane Helene, I realized that in a bad situation, gas for my regular generator would not always be available and without gas, it was useless. I researched many solar generators and found this one to be the best fit for my home and situation. The panels are easy to set up.The generator is solid and a bit heavy but I had no problems carrying it. I am an older, disabled woman with a healing broken hand. The generator comes with multiple ways to charge and has ports to charge cell phones.I feel very confident that this unit will suit my purposes in the event of another storm or regular power outage. I live in an area where I get unobstructed sun on most days so solar is an excellent option for me.With the price of groceries, I spent as much on this unit as I did replacing all my lost refrigerated and frozen foods. Another savings point is the price of gas to keep gas generators running and trips to the gas station. Solar solves that issue! This unit alone will not charge your whole home but it will keep your lights on, your refrigerator running and charge your phones in a power outage. Iâm considering purchasing another battery to be able to charge more appliances at a later date. For me, this purchase is well worth the money and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to gas generators.

Great product and even better customer service
We bought this for general outdoor/camping use and to keep the fridge running when the power goes out. EcoFlow’s customer service has been the real story here. When I received it, the box for the main unit was severely damaged (the panels were shipped separately and arrived pristine), to the point where I wasn’t sure if I should even open it. The driver had just dropped it off without a signature, which was also not supposed to happen. I contacted the seller and they responded almost immediately to tell me it should be fine to take it out to determine whether or not it was damaged. Regardless of the outcome, they were already offering to either have it shipped back at their cost or issue me a small credit for the inconvenience if it worked and I chose to keep it.The device itself was completely unscathed. It’s probably luck more than anything that whatever it was didn’t penetrate deep enough to cause damage. Regardless, I don’t consider issues during shipping to be something they caused, it just happens sometimes, but they were prompt to respond and make it right.I haven’t put much actual use into it yet, but small devices like my phone and laptop charge very quickly without even putting a dent in the battery. I have put it through some basic tests as far as using the solar panels under good conditions and also charging it off of AC. Setup is very intuitive and all cabling is set so that you can’t accidentally plug anything in where it shouldn’t go. So far everything performs as advertised, and I’m more than confident in keeping this unit. As compensation for the situation they sent me a weatherproof bag/cover for it at no cost, which is not normally included. If anything changes I will update this review, but a 5 year warranty (1 year on the solar panels) combined with the customer service demonstrated here has me feeling very confident at this point. As always, your mileage may vary, but my experience has been excellent.

I bought the ECOFLOW Portable Power Station DELTA 2 Max to use as a backup for my home and for camping trips. I was amazed by the large capacity, the fast dual charging, and the multiple output ports. It can power almost everything I need, from my fridge to my laptop. It is also very easy to use and monitor with the EcoFlow app.The power station is very user-friendly and convenient. It has a clear LCD screen that shows the input and output power, the battery level, and the remaining time. It also has an EcoFlow app that allows me to control and monitor the power station from my phone. The app is very easy to use and intuitive. It connects to the power station via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and shows me real-time data and alerts. I can also update the firmware and access customer support through the app.The product came in a well-packaged box with all the accessories and manuals included. The packaging was sturdy and secure, and it protected the power station from any damage during shipping. The box also had a handle for easy lifting and moving.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of the EcoFlow Delta Max. It is a powerful, reliable, and versatile portable power station that meets all my needs. It is worth the money.

Ecoflow has done it again: make my life easier as a caregiver. This time, the game changer is their Delta 2 Max power station.Iâll leave it to others to figure out and pinpoint the technical pros and cons of this device. All I can say is that for me, being able to generate electricity when needed is deeply reassuring and helpful.I am amazed by Ecoflowâs user-friendly ecosystem and forever grateful to them for helping me sleep better at night. Indeed, knowing that my power stations, smart extra battery and solar panels will help me take good care of my 93-year-old mother, who has dementia and who cannot walk anymore, is priceless. After reading extensively about Delta 2 Max and its LFP battery chemistry, deciding to upgrade to this device was a no-brainer. Also, the fact that a smart extra battery could double its capacity up to over 4kWh was a determining factor.Add to these latest acquisitions two previously bought Delta 2, two 160 W portable solar panels and one 220 W bifacial panel (renewable energy now strikes me as pure magic), and weâre all set to face the next challenge. We are blessed to live in a region safe from natural disasters, but power failures do happen – a disturbing thought in light of my motherâs condition. In fact, just recently we were out of power for five days but we managed just fine thanks to our EF products.Although I was able to recharge my power stations twice a day thanks to our townâs generators and to friends who had power, I figured we still needed to be more self-sufficient, hence the purchase of a Delta 2 Max and of a Delta Max Smart Battery following that power failure. Those extra 4000 W give me huge peace of mind.I can envision how much easier managing through the next blackout will be, knowing that our new equipment will give us greater leeway while increasing intervals between recharges. Mind you, our pair of Delta 2âs were incredibly useful during those five days without electricity, as they powered my motherâs lift, hospital bed and mattress. I could also warm some water to wash her in the morning. They powered our full-size fridge and 5.5 cu. ft. chest freezer, as well as the sump pump when needed. Router, microwave, coffee machine, cell phone, laptop, IPad, DVD player, lights, radio⦠bring it on !As I am writing this review, we in Canada are on track for our worst-ever wildfire season, including northern Quebec. Although we live in Montreal, hundreds of miles away, some of these fires resulted in loss of electricity for tens of thousands of people in our city. There is no such thing as avoiding natural disastersâ impacts anymore and that is why you can never be too prepared. What about Delta 2 Maxâs lifespan of 3000 complete cycles until it reduces to 80% capacity ? this amazing durability is definitely impacting the way I am using it, for it is not only about being ready to handle potential emergencies anymore. Some days I just enjoy making good use of it by living partially off the grid. Iâve even reorganized the kitchen in order to make it more accessible when cooking, amongst other things.Owning two Delta 2âs plus a Delta 2 Max seems to perfectly meet our needs, offering us a great mix between portability (Delta 2) and power (Delta 2 Max and an extra battery). In fact, being able to rely on such extra power definitely feels like weâve reached the big leagues. Itâs a great feeling.

I bought the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max as a backup power source for my home in case of a power outage. With our electrical grid going down ever more frequently, this is a smart buy for anyone looking to power essentials during a blackout. I can report that after tested it by running my refrigerator, freezer and a few lights circuits in the house, a am really impressed with it’s performance. The Delta Max has a really cool display that shows the input, output and remaining battery life, which is super useful for monitoring the power usage.I recently purchased a few rigid solar panels and I can report can charge by adding these I can run my essential appliances indefinitely using solar power. Since I also use this unit in my camper van, I was also very impressed with the quietness of the fans while under load. This is something Ecoflow has addressed from the outgoing model. New battery chemistry also means, this is a worthwhile long term solution. The Ecoflow Delta 2 Max is high-quality and high-performance power station that is a fantastic backup solution for any home owner! Highly recommended. The only thing I would like to see is a bit more automation over when the unit charges from the grid…for example when there is a storm in the forecast. I’m sure this will eventually come because they are constantly adding new feature to the app.

Purchased this about a month ago, and have used it several times. I’ve also used solar panels to charge it a number of times. The build quality seems excellent.I can confirm the AC inverter is very clean, as my main use for this unit is to power musical instruments and a small sound system. There’s no extra noise from the sound system, and we were able to power a 4-piece band outside for 3 hours using only half the battery capacity. It’s perfect for my application.A few useful things to know:- To connect the android app, make sure the unit is first fully off, then turn it back on so the pairing light comes on. Your location services MUST be turned on to connect the app. Once connected, the app provides lots of information about the flow of power in and out of the unit, state of charge, has options for sleep timeouts, charging rates, etc. Once paired, the app reconnects easily.- If you want to use a solar panel, you need to buy an MC4 to XT60i adapter cable sold separately.- If you’re charging with solar, your panel has to be delivering at least 20 watts for it to be indicated on the front panel or in the app.- This unit uses LFP battery chemistry for better longevity and safety. So far, I’m very happy with this purchase, and have already recommended it to friends.
