A really functional grip
I am a long-time popsocket fanatic, but decided to give this ESR ring grip a try because my popsocket doesn’t work as a stand in portrait mode. Well, I might be just using this ring grip because I LOVE IT.As a stand this ESR ring works in both portrait and landscape mode and, mostly importantly, it is incredibly sturdy in both positions.As a grip it is VERY comfortable and easily spins around so that it can be held in different positions. When not in use, it all folds in very close to the phone, with just a bit of protrusion. However, because the whole thing is sturdy, it doesn’t seem to get caught on pockets.What I also like about this compared to my popsocket is that it gives me a better grip on the phone when trying to take pictures at different angles. Because it’s a ring, there’s no way I am going to drop my iPhone.I am using this with a Mous bamboo case and the magnets on this ring grip are VERY strong. No issues with it falling off.I cannot speak to the durability of this, as I just got it, but I am probably going to get a second one to have just because it’s so functional.Update: I have been using this for a few months now. I like it so much that I purchased a second one in a different color to use with another case. While my popsocket is still a bit more comfortable to hold in my hand, this ESR grip is way more functional. Biggest benefit of this grip is that it can be used to stand the phone up in landscape or portrait mode, something popsockets and most other grips cannot do. It does get a little less stiff with use, but so far continues to function perfectly and looks great on the phone too.

I used to think MagSafe was a gimmickâ¦until I bought this thing.There have been many situations where it would be convenient to be able to prop my phone up. My wife has long had a case with a built-in loop type thing & she loves it. So, i thought âwhy notâ and Iâll try this. If I hate it I can return it, and I loved that since itâs magnetic I can obviously detach it whenever I want too. Itâs not as big a commitment as a case with a built-in Loop/Handle. Lol.Well, I NEVER detach this thing from my phone. Iâm seriously never without it. i absolutely love it. The magnet is surprisingly strong and has never fallen off accidentally. The only way this thing falls off is when Iâm wearing ONE specific backpack of mine, the straps of which seem to be custom-designed to sweep this right off the back of my phone. ð¤¬ð¤¬But thatâs the best part; even though this thing has hit the pavement multiple, multiple times, and Iâve owned it well over a year (longer?) it still functions as if it was brand new. I have NO clue how ESR engineered this thing so that the articulating parts stay so tight & firm, esp and even after CONSTANT, DAILY use, and a whole lot of drops, but holy cow – itâs amazing. This thing is SOLID and extremely well designed.It has taken some good dings / divots / scratches because of my stupid backpack brushing it off, but again; thatâs my fault. Other than firmly being swept off, this thing holds like crazy, and even though itâs fallen dozens of times, it still works like new & doesnât look THAT bad, all things considered. Iâm still extremely happy with it, and still surprised how much I really love using this thing. it is just so darn handy.It also makes your phone a lot easier to hold for extended periods of time.Overall, 10/5 little device. If you have ever even had the slightest inclination to buy something like this, BUY IT! Great MagSafe ring holder and stand MAGNET NOT STRONG
Edit 11/16/2023 I bought it for a third time because the ring stand itself is still the best Iâve found. I added a MagSafe ring to the exterior of my case in the hope that it will stay attached better.EDIT 6/23/2023 : as might have been expected, I lost this ring a few weeks after I bought it when I dropped my phone and the ring rolled away never to be found again. So if you do find that your ring doesnât hold strongly I suggest just glueing it on and not losing it like I did. If It came with a 3m adhesive it would be a big help.ORIGINAL: This ESR ring holder and stand is a great concept. The overall smoothness of the material is great. The folding double rings to act as a stand is sturdy and welll executed. No hotspots on the ring and has a premium feel. The ONLY negative I have about it is that the magnets are decent but any drop will cause it to fall off. I use a Mous Limitless 5.0 case so perhaps thereâs a problem with their case? I canât tell. If the magnets were stronger it would be an easy five star accessory. Thereâs no looseness in the ring joints, itâs perfectly stiff. Very comfortable to hold in my hand with the rotating ring angles. The only other problem I have is that it make sit difficult to put in my car cradle so i have to remove it and i sometimes forget to put it back. I addressed it by hanging the ring on the bottom of the gravel feet so i automatically grab it when removing my phone.

The hinges are stiff, as they should be. It rotates easily but once in place the ring doesnât wobble. Moreover, the magnetic attachment is stronger than expected. Well worth the $10.

This MagSafe ring holder by ESR has quickly become a must have for me. The holder is sturdy without being too stiff. Itâs very versatile allowing you to find the near perfect positioning of your phone. It helps me also handle the phone, providing support when I hold the phone with one hand. I tried another brand as well but the ease of use for this ESR one quickly almost instantly made me drop the other one. The adhesion is great, donât trust it to handle the phone only by the holder, anything can happen to knock of the holder and subsequently dropping the phone. Itâs strong yes, just exercise caution. If you use a cover, it also has to be a MagSafe case otherwise the holder wonts work. I totally recommend this product ðð¿ðð¿ðð¿ðð¿ðð¿

I have a Magsafe case for Pixel 9 Pro XL from Dbrand that I use with the ESR Magnetic Ring. The hinge broke as I tried to unfold the ring, even without excessive force. I contacted ESR customer support and they shipped a replacement the next day for free since they mentioned I may have received a quality control outlier.The replacement works great. I love the design, and everything feels premium. For an expensive phone, its important the accessories look and feel premium to use. Functionally, the magnetic force is strong enough to hold the phone to the ESR ring firmly perpendicular to the surface. However, due to purely how physics works, the ring is easy to rotate on the surface or knock it off the phone if a force is applied sideways. For people new to MagSafe, this might be an important consideration. The ring came off the phone a few times as I tried to pull it off from my pocket because of this. This is not a product deficiency. It is just how magnetism works and will apply to all MagSafe accessories.When fully folded, the stand works great for viewing your phone screen at an angle. And this angle is adjustable. However, it is wobbly when you try to type on the phone while its on the stand.I would recommend the product, though. It looks good, feels good, is reasonably priced, has great customer support, and functions well.
