A great but flawed mouse, but more great than flawed.
First off, dislikes. The scroll wheel stopped working on one of the three I’ve bought. This is apparently a known issue, but it’s only happened on one of my mice, and I honestly usually disable scroll wheel bindings [in game] anyway. It has a tendency to misfire if I use the scroll click button or left or right on the scroll wheel. This is true of any mouse that I bind things to those buttons on and is not unique to this mouse. You can RMA it back to EVGA if this happens. I’m waiting on a replacement for that mouse to arrive as of this post.I bought three because I wanted a backup and one for a laptop that I rarely use.9 and 10 buttons are awkward to use, but useful for rarely used hotkeys, or system buttons like enter. It has a learning curve if you’re coming from a 3×4 MMO mouse or new to MMO mice in general. So why such a high rating?Positives outweigh the negatives by a lot. It has 20 buttons, and that’s nothing to scoff at. Most MMO mice aside from the Logitec G600 have fewer. There’s no button where your thumb rests on the center, meaning it is easy to avoid accidentally pressing buttons when you use the top buttons due to squeezing the mouse. This is especially a thing if I use the ring finger button.A couple of the eight buttons I have to bend my thumb to reach, but this is true of the top and bottom of the back row of 3×4 mice as well. It’s not unique to this mouse. There are five top facing buttons intended for bindings, right and left on the scroll wheel, and pressing the scroll wheel in, plus you can program the DPI buttons to be bound to something else. I never change my DPI in game, so that’s a useful feature. Plus, you can put that elsewhere if you need it and still want those buttons to be bound another way. The 9 and 10 buttons are a good place for it.That’s ten different inputs for hotkeys on the top side of the mouse. I don’t know of any other mouse that has that. It pretty much means I only have to worry about movement keys on the keyboard. WASD, Shift, and Ctrl. Along with a few odd menu keys for stuff like weapon wheels, map, and inventory.Plus, you’ve got eight easily accessed hotkey buttons on the side, and two that you have to stretch a bit to reach. [9 and 10].There’s also a switch on the bottom that disables the ring finger button. I usually set that to V which is melee in most games, but it’s nice to be able to disable it for some games. The mode switch feature is neat, but I don’t personally use it. They call it “shift” and it allows for the bindings to be different if you hold down a particular button. The software is fine, not great, but does the job. I’ve had no issues with it. It has updated at least once since I bought it.The mouse does sometimes not enable bindings, but this only happens when I boot my system, and very rarely. It’s never an issue when I’m using it, and I can tell when it happens because the RGB doesn’t come on. The fix is just to unplug and plug it back in.You can also disable RGB entirely, which is normal for mice like this.Overall, it’s the best gaming mouse I’ve had. There are small things I’d improve, but the overall functionality outdoes other mice I’ve tried, including the G600, due to the amount of inputs on the top of the mouse.

Feels really strange. Could use some more ergonomics.
More Updates –Mouse still functioning well, but still feeling worse and worse to use. Playing more intensive games with it has made me only realize how much I really hate this mouse. It feels horrible to use, the angle of all the side buttons leads to many misclicks. I dont know why they didnt line the 3 button directly over top of the thumb hold space. This mouse is just horribly designed ergonomically. I HATE this mouse. Functions well, lots of buttons, feels awful in the hand and sometimes I swear it is registering buttons that I didnt press.UPDATE – Dropped my rating from 4 to 3 stars. Ive been using this thing for a 2.5 months now. and I really havent gotten more comfortable holding it. It actually feels less and less comfortable as time goes on. And as you can see below, i had to put grip tape on the mouse to effectively use it, and it turns out that grip tape actually wears out and crumbles apart slowly, meaning that because the mouse was too slick, the only real solution leads to little crumbs of sand on my mouse mat that I have to regularly brush off and just feels that much more uncomfortable.I love the amount of buttons, I love the durability. I love the programming and what the mouse can do. The ergonomics of it might actually end up being enough that I ditch this mouse though. It physically hurts my hand to use this mouse.——————The mouse functions really well, the software also seems to be top notch. No complaints in that department at all.The problems I do see with this mouse lie strictly with the ergonomics. Firstly, the pinky (non-numberpad) side of the mouse is VERY slick. trying to grip this mouse and pick it up to readjust is near impossible.I was forced to add a strip of grip tape to the mouse to be able to make those pick-up-the-mouse recentering adjustments. On the thumb side of the mouse, it is uncomfortable because there isnt much of a sunken in place and the central thumb rest in the numberpad is back further than I would prefer, and the 9 and 10 buttons are too far forward. This could just be due to the size of my hand, but this mouse is one of the least comfortable I have ever used. I have gotten more used it it, and it feel better than it did on day one, but still not ideal. I am using it though because I love the plethora of buttons it has.I would probably buy this mouse again, it works well, and has a lot of options. I just wish it were more comfortable to hold.

Good intension but awful execution
For the X15 MMORPG mouseThe design:I understand why EVGA would go with these layout, the traditional layout like such as Razer Naga, Logitech G600, and Corsair Scimitar, the 7-12 would be difficult to reach with your thumb; EVGA fix this by moving the 9-12 to the front and make 1-8 circular with a empty space in the middle your thumb to rest on. A major problem to the design is the button layout, it is space out quite far apart which force me to make a choice between pressing 9, 10 regularly and forgo 4, 8, 7 or forgo 9-10 which would make the design of the layout pointless. However, I do enjoy having easy access to 11 and 12.The number buttons’ actuation are too light that most of the time, I would accidently actuate them when moving the mouse around during gameplay because it is quite a heavy mouse. Combine with how space out all the button is, I would accidently press the wrong button when trying to reach another button. The software, Unleash, is really rough, the interface look like a a web page from the early 2000s. Unleash would randomly crashed and reset any save on the mouse, sometime any change on the mouse would not be save. The mouse RGB is very dim, and sometime they would not turn on and require you to re-plug the mouse.Overall, I understand what EVGA trying to do and applaud them for trying, but they need to try again and fix Unleash to a more usable software.

So far this is the best “bang for your buck” gaming mouse I have used yet, super smooth and side button layout is on point and easy to use. I like the ring finger mouse button as well. Only gripe that let the comfort only have 3 stars is the fact that it slides out of your hand easy if you have to reposition mouse, I used some scissors and grip tape to fix that issue.

Only few days of usage and the mouse wheel is faulty. This happens frequently when scrolling up it doesn’t scroll up. Have to scroll up a few more times then only it will scroll up.Also happens frequently is when scrolling down, it will first scroll up and then scroll down.Searched the internet, apparently the mouse wheel issue is well known.
