What devices can the AM8T mic use with via USB connection?
This gaming microphone works well with PC,laptop,Mac via USB connection, but it is NOT compatible with Xbox.
What features does the AM8T mic have?
This mic comes with RGB button, mute button, mic gain, headphones jack and monitoring volume control. These functions only work when connected via usb, but not work via XLR. You can control the mic on mixer or audio interface when connected via XLR.
Can RGB lights be controlled?
Yes. The RGB button on the AM8 gaming microphone can switch on and off and change colors without affecting the operation of the microphone. You can long press the RGB button for 3 seconds to switch on and off and tap to change the color.
What is the maximum thickness that the clamp can handle?
The mic can mount tightly to the desk up to 2 inch thick. Overly rounded or overhanging desktop edges are not suitable for mounting. The extendable boom arm allows you to adjust height and position of the mic according to where you are sitting.
How can I get loud and clear sound quality while recording?
To get the best from the dynamic mic, we suggest speaking into the top of mic within 2”-6”. You can adjust the mic angle with the included desktop stand or choose the boom arm version of this mic, the AM8T(B0C74GYW3J) for optimal positioning.

A great entry level mic for a casual user like myself
I have nothing but good things to say about this microphone. If you don’t want to read a long review, the tl;dr: This is a great plug-n-play microphone that has great sound quality and a price that can’t be beat.When the pandemic hit in 2020, I started playing online games with friends. When things went back to normal a few years later, we kept playing online as many of us had moved to different areas of the US.During that time, I used a nice set of bluetooth headphones and that was adequate. We mostly played strategy games, board games, or poker games where sound quality didn’t matter.In 2024 we hopped on the Helldivers 2 train and the bluetooth headphones just weren’t cutting it. To use the microphone with bluetooth, you have to accept the sound changes from full stereo to hands-free mono. For a game like Helldivers 2, that just didn’t work. I couldn’t hear anything at all.So I decided to invest in a microphone. I know nothing at all about microphones and just wanted something relatively cheap that would work. I did a little research and the main thing people said was to get a “dynamic mic” as opposed to a “condenser mic”. Shocker, the dynamic mics are more expensive, often costing $100+.I ended up getting this Fifine, which was significantly cheaper. And to be honest, I wouldn’t be able to tell it was a cheap model. The quality of this mic looks really good and feels solid. It uses USB-C which is nice, and even has an XLR jack for the serious audio people (I don’t know anything about this — I just use the USB jack).It is seriously plug-n-play. It took me all of 5 minutes to unbox and get set up at my desk. It just…works.The only additional recommendation I’d make. Even though this is supposed a “dynamic mic” which only picks up sounds right next to the mic, I found this still picked up all my keyboard strokes and could even pick up mouse clicking.The solution to this if you have an Nvidia card is Nvidia Broadcast. It is free and it has some sort of noise filtering that does an excellent job to remove background noise like what I mentioned above.If you need a stand and a mic and don’t want to dive down the rabbit-hole of audio equipment, this is probably your best value-to-quality option. It’s no nonsense, dead easy to set up, and in conjunction with noise filtering software like Nvidia Broadcast sounds phenomenal.

Best Budget mic Iâve had
Iâve owned several budget and mid end microphones. Its super easy to set up the mic arm and instantly my audio quality was crazy good without software or an interface. Even then, for the price it almost sounds the same as my buddyâs SHURE SM7B podcast mic on the same audio interface. The âpop filterâ works well and thereâs never any peaking from talking close into the microphone with the gain turned down. Granted there is a little bit of a tinny/flat sound if you use the USB option but even then you can run a third party equalizer software to make it clear. I used the Steelseries GG software for gaming as it was the most convenient and I never had any major problems with it. The only few things I donât like about it is the fact that it doesnât come with a shock mount (sometimes you can hear the boom arm springs vibrating through the mic if bumped) and the thread adapter makes it awkward to rotate for orienting it the right direction towards you because itâs too loose unless you spin it all the way around again towards you (hard to describe). On the lesser side, the mute button being touch sensitive instead of a actual button or switch is a little annoying as itâs fairly easy to mute yourself when you move the mic. Same thing goes for the LEDs but thatâs very minor compared to anything else. Overall itâs a very good budget mic and is 100% worth the hype. I expected it to have more flaws for the price but I canât really say anything seriously negative about it. Definitely earned my trust in this companyâs quality for budget microphones.

This is exceptional quality for the price you pay. I was initially going for a Rode, but I thought, let’s save money! Most people ignore the fact that these days you can get to 90% of the audio quality of a Rode mic in post-production. You click one button (“enhanced audio”) on a software like CapCut, and you can achieve the sound quality of a $200 mic with a $20 mic. I still din’t want to gor for a $20-30 option though. So got this instead.Takeaway:- Extremely sturdy (especially with the stand).- LOVE the LED lights. I was scared when I ordered, because I like minimalistic & “less is more” design. But the LED light is classy and understated. Looks beautiful at night. So yeah, they’re not the disco lights I was fearing.- Excellent at background noise control.- Ideal for podcasting, providing that radio-like sound.- Better than most $150-200 options.For now, I have nothing negative to say, but I will update if I encounter any issues. I’m really happy I didn’t run after the “known brands” and went ahead with this product. Probably saved $100.
