It Works!
Bought it as an upgrade for my Steam Deck OLED, I cloned my original drive to this one, and it’s been running great. Reported speeds are about 3500MB/s read, 3000MB/s write, which is plenty for a steam deck. I took a risk and bought this nvme for 104$ and it paid off.

Transfer speeds don’t meet specs when used in USB4 enclosure
I ordered the 500GB NVMe M.2 2230 SSD for its compact size. I have it currently installed in a larger USB4 enclosure with the intent to order an appropriately sized enclosure for greater portability. For now the larger enclosure will do.Near one corner of the SSD is a small green LED that lights when there is read/write activity.I am using this SSD with a Mac so I formatted it using APFS. The formatted storage capacity is 499.9GB.I used both Blackmagic Disk Speed Test and Amorphous Disk Mark to run some read/write tests using a 2 GB file size. I have attached screenshots of the findings.According to the product listing this SSD has a sequential read speed of 4,850 MB/s but attached to a Thunderbolt/USB4 port I was able to achieve only 3,000 MB/s with write speeds less than half that. Still quite reasonable and maybe the slower speeds are due to macOS and externally connected SSDs.A thin sticker is applied to the surface of the SSD that acts as a heat sink. I added a thin thermal pad on top to try to keep the SSD cooler as it does get quite hot without that. While the read/write speeds don’t approach those of the drive’s design limits in my setup they are definitely acceptable for my portable drive use case.

pretty fast ssd
Product description states max write maximum write speed is up to 2700MB/sMy testing shows about 300MB/s write of 5G file from Windows 11 cache over USB C 3.0I’m sure the numbers are much better in a pcie slot but I’m using this as an external USB drive

Performs well compared to other NVMe drives
I’m always leery of using SSDs from companies I haven’t heard of, but I decided to try my luck with this one. It came packaged well and included a screwdriver AND screw for the SSD, which was nice. This is a 2230 size drive, so you want to be sure your device (whether it’s a PC or external enclosure) supports the smaller size. I tested this drive by installing it in an external USB-C enclosure, running Crystal DiskMark, and comparing the results to an Adata XPB SX6000 NVMe drive. This performed almost identically to the Adata drive. It was the tiniest bit faster on some tests, while the tiniest by slower on others. Indications are it will perform well. I can’t speak to longevity, as time will always tell, but so far it does a good job and is very responsive. It seems like an excellent value for the performance you get. Again, be sure your computer or enclosure can fit a 2230 m.2 drive.

Large capacity in a small package
I ordered this for use in a magnetic m.2 enclosure for my phone, specifically for Apple ProRes images and video. Unfortunately, the m.2 enclosure has not been delivered yet. Luckily, I had a Raspberry Pi 5 with m.2 hat also waiting on an m.2 to be delivered. So I was able to test it.This appears to be as well built as my Samsung 990 EVOs, though not nearly as fast. However, it will be more than enough for use with my phone. While I had it in my RPi, I transferred files to test capacity, write, and playback. The storage capacity, and all functionality works perfectly. Since this was not being used as a boot drive, I did not test boot time. Also to note, installation and removal is simple and the fit is accurate.Overall, this is a great m.2 that will fit my needs perfectly.

Compact and fast NVMe SSD for seamless video transfers
This universal 2230 NVMe SSD is a fantastic addition to my tech setup.I initially planned to upgrade my older Surface, but I decided instead to use it with a MagSafe enclosure for transferring videos from my phone. Everything works flawlessly – it installed without any issues, and both my phone and laptop recognized it right away (though I had to format it initially).Performance Highlights:- File transfers on my phone are very fast, though I didnât measure exact speeds – Iâm more than satisfied.- When transferring files from my laptop to the SSD via a dock station and USB extender, it achieved a solid speed of over 600 MB/s, moving about 20GB in less than 30 seconds. I suspect connecting directly to a Thunderbolt port would yield even better speeds. What excites me the most is the size and speed. With the slim MagSafe enclosure attached to my phone case, I can shoot videos directly to the disk without any lags.Overall, this SSD is compact, reliable, and performs exceptionally well. Highly recommended for anyone needing fast, portable storage!
