Pretty little card
Im not going to write up some well informative review on every little thing this card can offer you. Its 2016 tech with only 4gb. Youre going to have to expect best performance at 1080p with medium settings in games, and certain games at that. But this is a great card for general use on a PC, like watching videos and surfing the web.I bought it to try and offload my extra screens to another gpu because I have multiple screens open with video. Im not so sure its actually processing the screens respectively to where theyre plugged in, but im seeing some usage by this little gpu through monitoring. Ill keep it, its a pretty little card.Just have reasonable expectations given what this is, and you shouldnt be disappointed.

This did not come with 4gb, only 2gb
Update: I returned for a replacement of the same product to see if it was just a mistake. The second product had the same 2gb despite all the packaging and card itself saying 4gb. I went to the SRHonyra website and reached out for help. I was told that there were a couple of resistors in the wrong place and to try and fix it myself. I did not do that and returned it. I also saw on their website that the GTX 1050 is 2gb while the GTX 1050ti is 4gb so I ordered a 3rd product, this time the 1050ti. If I had gotten this to start with, it would have been an easy 4 or 5 star review. However, because I got the 1050 first and all the descriptionss said 4gb, I am only going to go as far as 3 stars. The final product is working great, honestly, the first two worked fine also, just not accurate as described.Do with that info as you will.I want to like this as it fits my SFF Optiplex perfectly, but it did not meet the specs as described. This is only a 2gb despite the product listing and box saying 4gb.I’ll have to return this. I will update this review if I receive the correct product.

Solid card for SFF, but catch it on sale – overpriced
I wanted a GPU upgrade for my Dell Optiplex 3020 SFF. I had been running on a GT 1030 for a couple of years and it was really starting to show its age. Plus the fan on the card had gone out so I had to use MSI Afterburner to limit the temperature lest it burn itself out and PNY were ZERO help with replacement… Their attitude was like “out of warranty, not our problem, maybe buy a new one?” What you couldn’t even replace the fan for a fee? Dix. I tried sourcing the correct fan myself but what I got had the wrong connector… It was just too much of a hassle, so I was done with that card.Also, I wanted NVENC (something the 1030 lacks) for streaming and video transcoding. And, to fit in the case, it has to be low profile AND single slot. There are a small handful of cards that tick all of the boxes for my use case. This GTX 1050 is one of them.Anyway, I found this card while browsing Amazon, and at the time (October 2023) it happened to be on sale for like 40% off normal price! Twice the performance of the card it replaced and cheaper to boot! I wouldn’t say that the card is worth it at the regular price, (it’s a bit high for what it is – old technology with a small-size premium) but if you can catch it on sale then go for it. It’s a bit of an oddball card, GTX 1050 non-Ti usually only has 2GB but I’m definitely not complaining that it has 4GB. Same amount of VRAM as the Ti version which is (I assume) a little faster (more CUDA cores, 768 vs. 640) but WAY more expensive (that card is DEFINITELY not worth the price as you can get an RX 6600 for what they want for it). The blower fan is a little noisy at full blast but that’s to be expected for a card of this size. Smaller fans are louder. TBH I might be hearing my (larger) CPU fan more because that sucker SPINS at full load.It’s cute, super easy to install, works well for 720p/1080p medium on slightly older games… (like JEDI Fallen Order, Control, Rocket League). With even older games (Skyrim SE, Saints Row the Third, Borderlands, Rebel Galaxy) the card will get you to 1080p Ultra… and it helps accelerate ShotCut exporting, Blender rendering and Handbrake transcoding… Works in any PC with a x16 slot. No aux power input. I’ve had it for about 9 months now and so far ZERO issues. Highly recommended for older, SFF builds.If you have the ability to slot something physically bigger into your case, look at other cards. If you have anything newer than Intel 4th generation, look at faster cards. But if you have what I’m working with, it’s a good choice. Just don’t pay full price. They want too much for what it is. Seems like that’s common in the GPU market these days. Vote with your wallets.

Dont be afraid to buy this
I was somewhat standoffish because very little is known about this company. To be honest I was surprised by just how good this GPU is. It is actually better than a stock Geforce GTX 1050 ti out of the box. This is due in part to the 4GB GDDR5 memory, but also it has a base core clock that is actually faster than the 1050 ti. For a single fan low profile card it isn’t that loud. I overclocked it with MSI Afterburner, and even with a moderate overclock it maintains 80°C temperature and clocks well over 1750MHz core. For anyone who thinks this card is suspect, think again. It is well made and easy to install. Love it. Great for the price.
