Not received but replaced. Excellent product
The product originally delivered was a mailer envelope much too small for the product as can be seen in the picture of the second delivery of the replacement. When this delivery was opened it had a bottle of Amazon cough medicine but the original label stating the package weighed 6.5lbs. Amazon support made me return the cough medicine delivery and reorder the product since they could not do a direct replacement since the product delivered was stolen in route. Once the replacement was delivered it was very easy to install and replaced an octopus of excess cables from my previous one with individual cables (included) so I only had to use the ones necessary. It is silent and powerful.

Works right out of the box
I bought a Gigabyte Aorus Motherboard in order to use the Crucial T705 SSD. With an 850-watt PSU. I wasn’t getting the full speed from the PCIE-5 nvme m2 slot. I also was having little bothersome events that suggested the board wasn’t getting enough power. I asked Gpt 4o about it and he said if there is even a whiff that the PSU is a problem to replace it. Mine was 7 years old too so of course I did and bought this. Immediately the PCIE-5 nvme m2 speed increased to near the highest rated speed. No more bothersome small event now too. What else can I say? It just works, and I love it.

    2/10 experience.
To establish ethos: I build computers, servers, and switches for government contractors which are used on oil rigs & boats, in jets & autonomous vehicles, and more. I also build gaming computers on the side.Customer service response time takes around half or a full business day to respond. (This is good).I began by informing Gigabyte’s customer service (Gigabyte support) that their power supply came dead on arrival. I told them I made certain everything was plugged in and the power switch was in the “on” position. I tested the unit with a different power supply and had no issues powering the unit.Their response was an apology for the unit not functioning. They asked me to verify the unit was installed correctly (which I had already mentioned I did in the original message). They then said to return and order a new one.I returned and ordered a new one.The second power supply also came dead on arrival. I contacted customer support again. They told me to take it to a computer shop to verify I assembled everything correctly. They also said to return it and get a new one if it still doesn’t work.I established my ethos and told them I know what I’m doing. I had also reiterated from a previous message that other power supplies have been working with the unit. I made them aware I was going to go buy a different power supply from a different brand since the only solution they’ve provided me is to keep getting new ones and try again. This time they asked me to perform a paperclip test (stick a paperclip in pin 4&5, the power and ground pin). If the fan runs then it means the power supply works. The motherboard works and I already established this in previous messages. Doing the paperclip test won’t provide any additional insight in this scenario. (This is because there is already a closed circuit to check if the power supply works).I did the test anyways since they wanted to know the results. The power supply failed. I told them the results. Their response was I got unlucky and got 2 bad power supplies in a row. They told me to return it and buy another.I informed them I will return it and buy a different power supply from a different brand. They thanked me for my update and ended communications. The 2/10 points they get were for timely responses and not being rude during correspondence. Everything else was terrible.

Make sure to use right cables! Wont turn on otherwise.
I am no expert but I am also no beginner. I was about to return this PSU thinking it was DOA like a lot of the reviews until I noticed I was trying to plug in a PCIE cables to the CPU slot on my motherboard. I am used to cables being labeled and figured since they use the same slot on the PSU the cables were interchangeable. But that is not the case! They use the same slot on the PSU but they are not the same cables that go into the motherboard even though they look the same. As soon as I noticed and used the right cable the PC turned on.I’m wondering if a lot of these DOA reviews made the same mistake I made. At least I learned something new for future builds.

    Good power supply
Don’t get offbrand power supplies. This is a great option for budget build.

    Seriously do not buy this
I would give 0 stars if I could. Fried half my computer after installing it and rerouting all the cables all night. I had a power supply installed before this one that worked perfectly fine. I installed this one with all the new cables that came with it and everything. Did everything right and it wouldn’t turn on. I realized after troubleshooting that the psu wasn’t turning on when the sata cables were plugged in. So I unplugged them and it turns on fine. Just no power to USB’s and peripherals. I then started trying to see what was wrong with the Sata cables THEY PROVIDED and the system flashed red and made a shock noise. It fried my NZXT Kraken AIO, all my rgb hubs, my hard drive, and my Lian li cables. 0/10 would never buy something from gigabyte again after this. Customer support was also useless. Good luck proving to them their psu fried your computer. You’re gonna have to send it in, wait for an analysis of the psu and then MAYBE get to talk to someone about it past just refunding the psu which Amazon can do right now. Trash PSU and trash company.

Unfortunately I bought this power supply when I upgraded my graphics card and when the new power supply was put in nothing worked even tried putting it in another computer and it didn’t work.went to Canada computer and was going to get another one of the same brand(gigabyte) when they told me that brand I got would have 1 of 4 chance of not working when you buy it even when it’s brand new! And even said they had a friend who had bought one and it had caught fire! when playing a game. buyer beware you might as well get a different brand of power supply.would put zero stars if I could

Love this power supply. It is running my Unraid server, with 8 drives and 1 GPU. Runs everything great with no issues. Would highly recommend.
