Highly Recommend the Growatt Helios 3600!
After pulling the trigger on something I have wanted and needed for a while, I’m glad to have received a product that finally works as expected with charging times and output levels. I was uncertain about the large battery size & cost, but having used it arund the house and outdoors, I definitely needed the extra capacity!The Growatt 3600 is a good looking and well crafted product that comes in at a great price compared to similar size and spec competitors. I had heard of Growatt in the solar space before and they are seemingly delivering a similar price/value ratio on these smaller units too.I actually do already have access to a gas generator, but the gas refueling is time consuming, so I decided to try a large electric generator that can actually last all day for offgrid electronic and tool use. I also like that it charges at the max possible rate of a wall outlet at 1800W.The growatt Mygro app for the device is great fr monitoring and easy to connect to adjust charging speed which is necessary for me when offgrid, but the 2000W solar input is great, not sure I will ever max it out, but may get some additional panels.Also nice to know I can parallel another device to get 240V output if needed in the future. Overall a great device & would highly recommend.

Perfect for emergencies
This huge solar generator is perfect for emergencies!! I kept having power outages at my house in Malibu due to the fires, and this large battery is perfect to bridge the gap. I live with two roommates and this can power everything we need for several days including our fridge to keep our food cold! The one thing I was looking for in a battery like this was a fast recharge time, since our HOA runs a complimentary generator during the outages as well, so now instead of bringing everything over there to charge, I can charge this from 0-100 in just a couple hours and bring it right back home for another several days if the power is still out. Haven’t had to use it too much yet, fingers crossed! But I know it’ll be there for when I need it most.

Great Generator…. Support Only Via Email….. BUT…….
UPDATE 11/19/24: A few days after this initial review, Tech Support emailed me and THIS EMAIL, I could tell they DID take the time to read my initial, detailed complaint by how they answered the email. Tech Support actually LISTENED and addressed my concerns (really one issue). The did deem the one solar panel defective and sent me right away a replacement at no charge. Tech Support has been VERY GOOD at staying in touch (on their end without myself prompting them) to make sure I received the new replacement and if it tested out ok. Unfortunately as of TODAY 11/19/24, between a family emergency and OVERCAST SKIES with NO SUN (NE OHIO), we have not had the opportunity to test the new panel, although it looks great. Overall, we really do LOVE the 3600 Generator and ARE happy with the Solar Charging Abilities based on Sun/Sky Conditions. I have tested it several times and it seems to work great, HOLDS a charge at 100% after being left along for a few weeks. I LOVE the Read-Out Panel as you can see what the wattage is for each item you plug in that you are using and also wattage for Charging. We WILL be purchasing another Growatt 3600 & Extra Battery shortly to add for emergency backup and use in areas without power when needed.ORIGINAL POST:We purchased this Growatt HELIOS 3600 & Four Solar Panels and received them Mid October 2024. Tried ONE of the four panels to TEST the charging abilities (200 watt). Tested this Panel at PEAK SUNLIGHT, Directly OVER this panel (Tried many different Angles)….. One time we hit 92 watts, mostly in the MID 80’s. We Contacted Tech Support Via EMAIL (No Phone Numbers for Company) and gave them SEVERAL Pictures and DETAILED info and QUESTIONED if this panel was damaged as you can CLEARLY SEE a discolored section in the Panel Itself.Their RESPONSE was a GENERAL ONE, stating the strength of the Sun, the Position, etc, etc, etc. and that DUE TO CONDITIONS is the reason WHY I did not get the full 200 watts. The NEVER ADDRESSED if the Panel was Damaged, as the other THREE did NOT have that purple discoloration. WE then 2 days after the first test, tried ALL FOUR PANELS, on a Absolutely CLEAR SKY, sun directly OVER our home, wide open, TRIED DIFFERENT ANGLES and the BEST we could get was 560 Watts Charging power even though they were 800 total capacity.Bottom Line, LESS WATTAGE equals MUCH LONGER Charging times if having to rely on the SUN. Their Tech support DID NOT address my concerns and the email was No Doubt a “Copy & Paste” response since they ignored my concerns. If you want Phone Tech Support for this line of Generators from Growatt, even though the Generator itself seems to work fine, be prepared to WAIT for a typical Tech Support response via email. Just my opinion BASED ON my experience with them so far. Will Update if needed.
