It works with my Virtue Pro XR Glasses!
I was able to connect these to my eGPU connected to my laptop and it works flawlessly! It maintains the picture quality well and it also passes audio too. 10/10, would recommend!

Works, but troublesome with continuous use.
Tested this using a portable monitor with a 16:10 aspect ratio whose mini-HDMI port is already occupied and an older system’s integrated graphics. When it is functioning, it works well.It usually performs its function, but requires some convincing at times. I’ll often have to power cycle it in order for it to recognize that it’s actually connected to a monitor and a source. When booting the system, it is rather slow to pick up and sometimes won’t pick up at all. I’m not sure why, and the fault might not be entirely on the adapter, but the circumstances of its usage triggering some dysfunction.The adapter uses a fair amount of the supplied power as it normally outputs 4.7-4.8V. When the adapter is being used as the sole power source for the portable monitor, it is not enough to keep the monitor running consistently. However, it is 4k 60Hz capable, so it may use a little more power than many portables.Physically, there is much to complain about. The edges of the metal housing are abrupt and will easily scrape on light collisions. The housing itself is likely oversized and the integrated HDMI cable is far too long. Thankfully, the power port is Type-C, but is, arguably, on the wrong side of the housing. There is a strong likelihood that the power is going to come from the same device that is providing the HDMI signal and consolidating the runs of cabling without looping it back across the housing would reduce the contribution of mass to the rat’s nest.I think all of these adapters use the same chipset, so I’m not optimistic about finding a replacement that doesn’t behave similarly. However, I will happily shelve this one once I find one that manages to do a better job controlling its physical footprint.If a long HDMI cable is desired and an independent power source is to be employed, this might be the HDMI to USB adapter that you are looking for.
