Happy with mine and shopped for a very long time
I’m often times perplexed by the reviews I read. We as buyers never know what’s real and what’s fake. Influencers would NEVER influence me bc I know they are for profit only. Often times I see reviews that list as amazing 5 star or buyer beware for the same exact item with not a lot of in between. Which seems neither review may be completely factual. I had a heck of a time trying to find a replacement laptop for my beloved old Toshiba. Reviews were all over the place and I was skeptical of buying something so costly online. My local stores had the worst selection, so I returned to Amazon. I pondered this for years!! Afraid to pull the pin and just select one. As my old beloved Toshiba really was too tired to do most tasks with any speed the time came, I HAD to just choose another machine. When I leave my reviews, I’m always honest and sincere. I’m not famous or trying to be. My reviews hopefully help others when trying to choose well. I purchased the HP 2024 Latest Pavilion Business Laptop, 15.6″ FHD Touchscreen, 13th Gen Intel Core i7 – it was different than my Toshiba I’ve worked on for nearly 10 yrs so of course there was some learning of a new machine – and also learning the quirks of Window 11 – but so far everything is great. No issues at all. The speed is amazing, and I can actually get my tasks done in a flash now where b4 it took way too long. I humbly feel people don’t like to learn new things so blame the device for their lack of patience. I’m very happy with my purchase so far. I can’t say much about the battery time bc I work at a desk so that isn’t an issue I contend with. I can plug and unplug as needed. But as for function, speed and ease of use I’m very pleased. I surely will repost if anything happens to change my review but for me this was the correct choice and I’m very happy!! Hope this helps others on the fence and trying to make the right decision.

The upgrades void the HP warrany.
I received my laptop on Aug 9 (fifty days ago as of this writing) and I’m aware that the Amazon return period on electronics is 30 days. However, shortly after the 30 days was over, devices began mysteriously disappearing from the device list and nothing we did could locate them – first the microphone, then the speakers, then the mouse. What’s next? HP support kindly tried to update BIOS, firmware, etc to fix, but explained that the upgrades the seller “Empowered PC” did to the laptop voided any HP warranty. They also said that the increased RAM and storage are too great for the system to handle, and even if, say, I did a complete Windows reset, the problem would arise again within days. My local computer repair shop concurs. So basically this laptop is terminally ill. It is walking the Green Mile. It is eligible for the Make a Wish Foundation. As, according to the aforementioned experts, this problem is inherent with the setup the seller created, I would really like my money back. I’ve tried to contact them, but I have yet to speak with anyone other than an auto-response.UPDATE: Seller has offered to repair the laptop (motherboard the likely culprit) for free. If satisfied I will again update this review!FURTHER UPDATE: Seller repaired the laptop free of charge. Working fine now. I’m upping my rating from one to four stars.

Wasn’t The Specs Advertised
Received laptop with 12th gen i7-1255 CPU instead of the advertised 13th gen i7-1355. It did not have a fingerprint reader or a backlit keyboard as advertised either. It has been returned. Big waste of time.

I like this computer — a whole lot!
I like the computer — a whole lot! It’s got double the storage and double the RAM compared with my 5-year-old one, and a nice fast processor. Because the drive is solid-state, it boots up in mere seconds. And it got here when they said it would, so no problem there, either. I haven’t tried the tech support, so I can’t comment on that. But…I’m not completely onboard with Windows 11, though: there were things I could do on Windows 10 that are not possible on 11 (having each active task show up as a separate button on the taskbar, for instance). But I can’t blame that on HP, or on Computer Upgrade King. So, yeah, I give the computer 5 stars.>>> And now, a little update (a couple of months later) about an update: Apparently I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t thrilled with how Windows 11 was displaying buttons on the taskbar. Windows did an update, and the update solved the problem. So now I like the computer (still a whole lot!) and I’m fine with Windows 11 too. Count me a happy camper!
