Appearance Beautifull. Received in good condition.
This Device Was recieved on Monday March 5,2021, as promised. This new unit, booted up right away after putting in my SSID and Password. A word of advise make sure you use caps when needed. This review is being completed on my new HP Chromebook now seemingly fully functional. Please forgive my spelling errors as this is the first time using this device and the shortcuts, I have yet to learn. The reason this Chomebook is my chorse for now, is that google says all work is in the cloud and therefore reduces viruses, on that we shall see. Another reason is that the battery life is reported as being 13 hours of continuous use, again we shaal see. As of now I have no complaints. However expect an update soon.UPDATE…..Tuesday April 26, 2022I have been using this Chromebook for a year and feel that this is an investment that was well worth every penny that I spendAll that was promised has been achieved. I have experienced what this unit can do. I am glad of my choice. The battery life on my Chromebook is great. When you close the lid it shuts down and saves the battery with almost no battery drain until you reopen and your work is still there waiting for you. You can login to any wifi but you should have a good VPN to protect you ass you travel. ð

So far, so good!
We haven’t had the Chromebook for long, so this review would be subject to change. (As of 09/08/21)We bought this for my wife, who uses it primarily for emails and web search, etc.. Simple to use and much faster than the laptop she had been using. I read reviews on a lot of Chromebooks in this price range before we made the purchase and I think it was the right choice. Screen quality is very good. Lightweight. Holds charge for a long time. I think the only negative is that sometimes the keys are difficult to read in the wrong light. However, they are backlit, so there’s a plus.So far, this has been an excellent value. I can easily recommend it.

Good value, but (very) minor complaints.
I got this as a replacement for my two year old Walmart Samsung 11.6″ Chromebook that began having keyboard issues. I haven’t had it very long, so can’t say very much here, other than I think I prefer the smaller size, after all. (I could have found another 11.6″ but thought I’d give this a shot.) One minor problem is that every time I’ve tried to access Google Messages so far, the OS resets. (This does not happen on my Samsung Chromebook or on my Windows desktop.) I do really like the back-lit keyboard, and wonder why that is not implemented in more models. The battery life and rapid charging are also better than I have previously experienced, so there’s another plus. Now hopefully this machine will remain operational for longer than a couple of years — or is that an unreasonable expectation? 😎

This chrome book is great!
The back light makes it easy to see the keys in darker lighting and the sound is amazing. Much better than my Acer. The screen is a good size and the screen quality is better too. The keyboard has a nice lay out. Not too much room on the sides for empty space. The touchscreen is a lot nicer than I expected, too! Iâve already gotten used to it. I would say this is definitely worth the buy! My first laptop was an Acer and even after having it sent back and repaired for a charging issue, I got it back in even worse shape. Wouldnât load anything, lagged all the time, bad sound system. And lately it wonât turn on unless I reset it. And even then it doesnât work. This is my first HP laptop and itâs great so far! Absolutely love it. I got it to write on and itâs amazing.

Great for kids and great to travel with. Not good for college students.
We bought these for my kids in the middle of covid because my kids had work to do from home and the school was charging us 50 dollars a year for insurance. These are awesome for our elementary and middle school kids. We also travel a lot. For the car, this is perfect and they can watch movies once they are downloaded. The battery lasted our last 5 hour trip. This is not a good device for college aged kids. It can only do ‘google’ things and once in college, you need many more options (I am a college professor, so just a recommendation). The picture is clear, the touch screen works great and battery life is amazing. Its on the lighter side too which is nice.

Nice laptop – Crashes Modems/Routers with no fix
Pros: Nice build and feel, great speakers, simple setup, great valueCons: Within a few minutes of connecting to my wifi, it killed the internet connections to all other devices including its own connection. We have a rather common modem/router, the Arris panoramic models you get on rental from Comcast or Cox, in the west. After working with Amazon and then HP support, it became evident the issue is a modem driver within the computer needing to be updated. HP support claimed it was a known issue with my router/modem — yet they didn’t troubleshoot it and didn’t ask which manufacturer/model device I had. In theory, the problem (a driver) is fixable….. if you can get the driver downloaded and added to the computer. In this case, this chromebook does not have an ethernet port — so there’s no actual way to install the driver and address the problem without loading it on a USB drive, downloaded from another computer, or sending in the computer for repair.Summary: You may have a modem or router that doesn’t conflict or have a driver issue and be perfectly fine. I wasn’t able to experience much beyond the handful of minutes it would be connected. However, there’s no way to know in advance if you will encounter this problem or not. If you’re willing to risk it and have the time to a) work with support or find/load the driver yourself, and/or b) return the device (stick to the 30 day window), then proceed with caution. Otherwise, I recommend passing on this and going with something else. For reference, in our situation we ended up going with a Lenovo C340 Chromebook for just a little bit more money with a better processor, more RAM, bigger screen (a flipable touchscreen). My router/model and internet connection have been fine with the Lenovo.

I don’t have a lot of needs for a computer. Good for simple tasks and letting my 4 year old play simple games.

I like the balance of overall features versus the price of the product. The uses are numerous, almost everything related to everyday life, such as banking, shopping, learning getting all kind of nfo. online etc.

Suddenly, many black dots appeared on the screen without any physical damage. Despite the 1-year warranty, their customer service agent refused it and forced me to contact HP instead. What’s the point of offering a 1-year warranty to their customers? Bad experience, I won’t be buying any products from this seller again!

Came with the wrong battery installed and said battery not even connected, just shoved in… Had to drop another $50 to buy the correct battery and install it (properly this time) myself. Don’t buy from this seller!!!
