So far so good for gaming
I purchased the $369, i7 4770 CPU, Nvidia GTX 1660S GPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, HP EliteDesk (800 G1 Tower). First off, make sure the seller has good ratings because the “Amazon Refurbished” store actually uses third parties. I love STG Global / Skytech Gaming (Same company). They are a good refurbisher and sell functioning, well packaged units whether its an old refurbished HP/Dell office computer or Skytech Gaming / STG Aubron gaming computer. I’ve been playing Starship Troopers Extermination on medium settings almost daily for two weeks now with no issues. I highly recommend buying this Gaming refurbished PC if you’re on a budget or only game for fun rather than professionally or in tournaments. It has everything you’ll need to run most games on medium/low settings with little to no issues.NOTES: After removing the instapak from the PC, setting it up, and powering it on, go to settings and allow it to install/download all updates. Then go to the apps and find the Nvidia app (already installed by STG) and make sure you have the most recent GPU driver installed/updated. Then go ahead and play games. I would avoid buying any configuration that is SSD + HDD, the HDDs are old and only slow down your PC while being one more component to draw power and potentially fail within a year or so. All you really need is a 500GB or more SSD and can upgrade later.THE BAD: What i had purchased in the listing, and is even on the physical service tag stamped on the tower, was an HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Tower. What I received was an HP ProDesk (600 G1 Tower I think). However, I did get a better CPU, I was supposed to get an i7 4770 but received an i7 4790 so it performs about 1% better than what I thought I purchased. A good trade off? Not sure, but so far I haven’t had any issues with the ProDesk vs if I would have got the EliteDesk.THE GOOD: The power supply is enough and runs all the components well. Idk what configuration the negative reviews used that said the PSU wasn’t enough but the configuration I have listed above is well suited to the factory 320W PSU the HP comes with. The PC runs quietly even with all fans running. hardwired download speed is 632 mbps and the cheap, tiny usb WiFi dongle they include on the 5G bandwidth actually gave me 320 mbps download speed. Getting 50% of your hardwired speed with a cheap and small usb dongle is actually impressive comparatively. The PC was packaged securely and even had instapak inside the tower to protect the GPU and other components, STG Global is known for good packaging and they also include guides and instructions for set up and RGB operation. The included mouse and keyboard are not for professional and tournament gaming but they function well and look good with the RGB so they’re fine to use for the standard gamer (they’re STG Brand). I’ve had no issues running games so far.

Idk if I just got a bad batch, but I had to request a return within an hour of its arrival :
Looks great. Unfortunately for me, it would boot up and then shut off all by itself at random times. It did that during the initial setup, and then I finally got windows up and running and anywhere from five minutes to a half an hour it would just randomly shut itself off again.Maybe theres a simple fix that someone savy could find quickly, but with it being just out of the box and already having trouble I stopped trying after the fifth attempt to get it to work. It sucks, because for the price point it looked really nice.

Not ROG, not horrible: This is a functional desktop with decent video card
TL;DR; It’s a typical i7 PC with a decent video card. Know what it is and it’s great.I bought this knowing that at this price point I would be getting something that was an upgrade to what I had but would not be giving me 300fps. I was not disappointed, it plays the latest games but with down-scaled features. It multitasks well so discord while gaming is doable. One downside to some might be that WIFI is provided via USB port. That subtracts that total number of available ports but at this price point that’s not an issue. I consider this a tremendous cost-to-value purchase for someone who has some computer literacy. I did have to tweak the windows and nvidia drivers a bit to improve the performance but anyone capable of using Google should be able to likewise. It plays CSGO and Helldivers acceptably after a few tweaks.

Decent computer for price.
This computer is a pretty decent machine even with its sub-par components. For the price you cant beat it. It looks however that they took a decent business computer, added more OEM ram, and a graphics card. The motherboard is a generic OEM HP motherboard, Ram seems OEM-like, and PSU is a 350 watt OEM psu.You have to remember when buying this – the price point. The machine is relatively fast, and ran a decent bench test. Ideal for anybody running even pretty intense graphics games.EDIT: I’ve reduced my star rating to 4 as one of the 4 (8gb) RAM sticks has failed already in this computer. I went to turn on my computer and it just kept doing a 1 beep and restarting (RGB lights would turn on and off on and off again with the beep). I tried one stick at a time and found one of the bad ram sticks. Once I put the single bad ram stick in it changed from a single beep with RGB light flashing to 5 beeps in a row. So if you get either a single beep and restart or 5 beeps in a row on this machine it means one of your memory sticks has failed.

Everything was there like it should be.
Pc arrived in great shape. I was kind of worried about there being any gotchas at this price point for this level of performance. There were some but they are tolerable. Benchmarks show everything is in peak condition. As other reviews mentioned, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters are included but they are severely lacking. Iâd budget $40 to replace those with solid units. The included i7-4770 is limited to windows 10. Seems to be an arbitrary choice by Microsoft to not extend support past 5th gen Intel cpus but that is an absolute non issue for me personally. If you need windows 11 you will ABSOLUTELY NOT BE ABLE TO UPGRADE with this CPU. Triple monitor setups are possible with the purchase of dongles. Fans are quiet enough. Not high quality by any means but certainly nowhere near the noise level of a standard gaming laptop. This thing has exceeded all my expectations at this price. It even has a built in speaker in the case. Temps are excellent as well under load. Update windows and your nvidia drivers and this thing is ready for any 1080p game.Fortnite Max settings: 70 FPS averagePerformance Mode 200 FPSLow Settings 120 FPSBeamNG Drive Normal settings: 75 FPS averageSnowrunner Max Settings : 70 FPS

Can’t connect to wifi
The wifi adapter is either terrible or non existent.
