HyperX Alloy Core is very soft and quiet, like touching the hem of the cloak of a ghost…
Here’s my review for the HyperX Alloy Core rubber membrane keyboard in August 2022 in which I award 5 out of 5 stars. Really the most impressive thing about this keyboard how very easy to press the keys are, even a gentle soft touch will depress the key. It’s almost like touching the hem of the cloak of a ghost… I actually like this better than a mechanical keyboard because those keys are harder to press, and they are also louder. Especially the space bar on this keyboard, it’s smooth as butter.
Typing is very much a breeze, I think my words per minute went up a little bit compared to my mechanical keyboard that I was using before. The colors are beautiful, and there are a few different casual choices like red, green, purple, blue, etc.
There is a special key that you can use to control the intensity of the colors. There’s another key that works to disable the Windows key during gaming, so you don’t press it by mistake and your entire game minimizes to desktop. Hey man, we’ve all been there.
For twenty five bucks you can’t go wrong, this has to be among the best keyboards out there at that price. I got mine refurbished, it seems to be basically brand new or in otherwise excellent condition, I can’t find any obvious signs of it being used.

Affordable Lighted Keyboard.
Good build & heft for a mostly plastic keyboard. Adjustable light intensity & colors. Back lighting & lighted keys are a good combination when using in subdued lighting. Dedicated keyboard keys for light colorization & intensity as well as audio controls. No skipping or stuck keys action when typing. Good feel and touch sensitivity. Excellent price on Amazon.

The keys don’t look very good at an angle.
As the caps are just above a light source, and don’t have a way to refract the light fully into the characters via a dome or something. The characters have a strange undertone of dark lines and blurred portions. Overall, despite the organic layer, it’s a decent keyboard for the price.

It has been one month since i had this keyboard and still no issues. It works amazingly and sounds good too. I especially like the RGB lighting. I would definitely recommend this keyboard.

Great keyboard, but some kind of weird fault
I really like the keyboard itself, it’s just clicky enough and feels good. However after a few months of having it there started to be a high pitched whine coming from the USB cable. I tried plugging it into multiple slots with no change. It was then I searched the issue and other people are having a similar problem – it has to do with the LED lights. If I turn them off I do not hear any noise. Honestly I don’t care about the lights but I can’t fully recommend the keyboard because people probably do want those.

This keyboard is exactly what I wanted!
Initially, I bought this keyboard due to my previous one stopped working. I researched on the quality and price of all keyboards within an appropriate price range and this one caught my attention. I had previously purchased products from HyperX, but this would be the first time I had ever bought a keyboard from them. The keys feel fantastic against my fingers and the clacking they emit is pleasurable to my ear. They can be quite loud, but perfect if you’re the type of person into that! The control buttons above are extremely useful and I love using them every chance I get.
Only downside I have with this keyboard is the inability to use HyperX’s Ngenuity with it. Though that feature alone isn’t really important and I could care less. The keyboard is absolutely amazing if you’re looking for something within a budget for gaming or regular use. Highly recommend!
