    Bright colors.
I got the HyperX Alloy Core RGB Keyboard, and I am genuinely impressed with the combination of affordability, functionality, and vibrant RGB lighting that this keyboard brings to the table. Designed with gamers and casual users in mind, the Alloy Core RGB stands out as an excellent choice for those seeking a feature-packed keyboard without breaking the bank. The first thing that caught my attention was the keyboard’s striking RGB backlighting. The customizable lighting effects add a touch of personality to my setup, allowing me to match the keyboard’s illumination with my mood or gaming environment. The vibrant colors and dynamic lighting patterns, easily controlled through dedicated keys, make the Alloy Core RGB an aesthetic delight.Typing on the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is a satisfying experience. The membrane key switches offer a responsive and tactile feel without the audible click of mechanical switches. The quiet keystrokes are ideal for shared spaces or late-night gaming sessions where noise might be a concern. The full-sized layout with a numeric keypad ensures versatility for both gaming and productivity tasks. The dedicated media controls are a practical addition, allowing me to adjust volume, playback, and lighting settings on the fly without interrupting my gaming or work. The inclusion of quick access buttons for lighting customization and a Game Mode that disables the Windows key during gameplay further enhances the keyboard’s user-friendly design.Durability is a notable feature of the HyperX Alloy Core RGB. The sturdy build, reinforced plastic frame, and spill-resistant design add a layer of reliability, ensuring the keyboard can withstand the rigors of daily use. The matte finish on the keycaps contributes to a comfortable feel and prevents fingerprints, maintaining a clean and professional look.Setting up the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is a breeze. The plug-and-play functionality ensures a straightforward installation, and the detachable USB cable provides flexibility for cable management. The keyboard is compatible with both Windows and macOS systems, making it versatile for a variety of users. While the Alloy Core RGB lacks the mechanical switches found in higher-end keyboards, it compensates with a budget-friendly price point and a quieter typing experience. The compromise in switch type might be a trade-off for some enthusiasts, but for those seeking an affordable and visually appealing gaming keyboard, the Alloy Core RGB delivers outstanding value.

    This keyboard is really amazing!
This is my first keyboard above $30. I went to my local Micro Center and tested every keyboard they had looking for one that felt nice, and the nice clicky ones tended to be very expensive and relatively noisy. This keyboard captures most of the feel of typing on those keyboards, but is quiet and much cheaper. The backlighting is blindingly bright, the color transitions on the flow mode are smooth and pretty, the lighting is even, and the colors are vibrant. I like that I can set it to plain white if I want. I always use it on the lower of the two keyboard brightness settings, and that’s still too bright in a dim to medium lit room. The keys all work, they feel consistent and smooth, and it’s comfortable to type on. I do think a wrist rest might be needed though. I don’t think the keycaps will wear over time, which is good because while they’re removable, they don’t take standard keycaps and replacing them would likely be difficult. The keyboard frame is surprisingly dense and heavy. It is made out of a very sturdy plastic that feels solid, has no flex/creaking and sits evenly on my desk.Other pros: Number pad and dedicated media keys are great. The media keys don’t feel as nice to press as the normal keys, and they aren’t backlit, but they do work well and aren’t too difficult to locate without looking. The cons:-Media keys are not backlit. This really bugs me for some reason, I want all the keys to be backlit and it bothers me that some are and some aren’t.-The keyboard height is a little too tall and I think a wrist rest is probably needed for comfort for most people.-Numlock light is bright white and there’s no way to leave numlock on and turn off the light. This is particular to my use, since I always leave Numlock on. I’ll cover it with a sticker or something.-it’s got liquid drainage holes and would probably survive a spill, but my keys are particularly hard to get off and removing them and cleaning underneath would be probably take an hour or more.Overall, I do strongly recommend this keyboard. Other keyboards have per-key backlighting or Cherry MX keys or whatever but this one is good at the stuff a keyboard is supposed to do for the price. Most importantly, compared to the other similarly priced keyboards at Micro Center, these keys felt the nicest to type on- not wobbly or mushy.

Liked it so much I bought two
It’s a cool-looking, quiet, rainbowy keyboard that is easy to use. Plug and play with Windows 11. I bought a second keyboard to use on another computer, so I’m definitely satisfied with it. I mostly use it for writing/word processing. I have used it for gaming, mostly walking sims and puzzle games. I don’t know whether it’s fast enough for games that need super-fast response times. The backlit keys are great for using in dim lighting. I’m using one with a Startech ten-foot USB extension cord, and it works fine with it.This keyboard also disassembles for easy cleaning. The keys can be unsnapped and lifted off to access the flat plastic panel underneath. One of my keys was sticking, so I (carefully) used two loops of string to pull the key straight up and off, so I could clean up the sticky spot with a damp cloth. After that I simply snapped they key back into place and it’s worked fine ever since. There are metal key-lifting clamp tools available on Amazon that I would recommend if you want to clean your keyboard regularly. For occasional dust, crumbs, bits of paper, etc. I sometimes just run my vacuum’s tube over the keyboard and that gets rid of most of it. A paintbrush or makeup brush also works wonderfully. I would buy this keyboard again – and I have 😉

Cool keyboard, definitely not the most quiet one, but the sound of it doesn’t give me a headache. I’m satisfied with the overall quality, sound of the keys and cool adjustable colours. It is also pretty big and heavy so definitely not suitable for travelling but it has all the keys I need and some additional keys which are handy too.

Bought this as a replacement for my Cooler Master CM Storm backlit keyboard which was working perfectly but had one glaring issue. As I use a 4 port KVM switch that uses the Scroll Lock button to change computer ports.. it was affecting the operation of the backlight of the keyboard turning off, then when turning the keyboard backlight on again by pressing scroll Lock I would lose the ability to scroll in programs like Excel using the arrow keys. The situation could not be worked around. So after reading all the reviews of multiple RGB keyboards, I settled on this hyper x keyboard as it has a dedicated backlight button. And it works perfectly, leaving the scroll Lock free for port switching. As to the keyboard itself, build quality is great! Keys are softer and quieter than my previous keyboard. I was hoping for it to be almost silent but it still has a bit of clicking and clacking. The RGB lighting is a really nice touch, 2 levels of brightness and about 7 presets of lighting and 7 colors to choose from. This keyboard was great value for money and I’m glad I pulled the trigger on this. Fixed my issue and it looks great doing it!Would recommend.
